The diploma thesis deals with the issue of the family environment of a younger school-age child. The aim of the presented diploma thesis is to provide an insight into the life of a younger school-age child. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part focuses in individual chapters on the topics related to family, education and leisure time, where the emphasis is placed on problematic, clinical and different families. The practical work gives insight into three families with an early school-age child through qualitative research methods (especially case studies and interviewing). In the practical part, I look for answers to questions about family values, spending leisure time, educational methods and lifestyle.

The theme of my diploma thesis is mentally disabled people in prison. The aim of this work is to map methods of social work and functioning of a specialized department for mentally disabled people. The theoretical part focuses on legislation regulating this area. Moreover, there is a characteristic of particular types of prisons and a description of rights and obligations of the convicted persons and disciplinary punishments. Another topic of the work is the function of the sentence, characteristic of the specialized department and brief characteristic of particular disabilities. The practical part includes an interview with workers in this department. I found out the methods of work they use and how much different the work with these convicted persons is. Fort better understanding of this topic there are also case studies of convicted persons from the specialized department.

This master's thesis deals with a preparation of a qualification training for social workers that work with a client in crisis. It examines what are the requirements for the social worker and his range of further training. It also focuses on a social worker custody to a client who found himself in a crisis situation. It solves whether, and how the social workers are prepared to these difficult situations. Theoretical knowledge, as a type of client, koncept and types of crisis situations and attitudes and competences of a social worker to the solution of the crisis, are used in practical part of this master's thesis, which is made up of case reports with subsequent analysis. In conclusion the importance of the knowledge and skills of social workers are documented by questionnaire. Using the comparative method, I would like to highlight the developments in this field during the last five years. For comparison is outlined the care for a human in crisis in Switzerland and Bulgaria. The goal of my thesis is to make this field more approachable not only to social workers who encounter people in crisis in the course of their work, but also to all people who may find them- selves in crisis.

Syndrom vyhoření v pedagogické praxi / The burn-out syndrome in pedagogical communitySlívová, Tereza January 2013 (has links)
This Master's Thesis deals with burn-out syndrome in pedagogical community. The aim of this Master's Thesis is to work out the komplex analysis of this disease, where the initial part deals with the definition of burn-out syndrome as a disease of contemporary society and with the theoretical specifications of the syndrome. That is followed by analysis of reasons and causes of the syndrome which describes its symptoms and phases of evolution. The Master's Thesis also defines the possibilities of healing and therapy including methods of prevetion, avoiding or coping with the syndrome. Next part is focused on characteristics and specifications of the teaching profession. This section of the Thesis deals with the causes and hypotetical propensity of pedagogues to the disease, then with professional requirements on pedagogues and with specific reasons for the occurence of the syndrome in this professional community. The aim of the practical part of the Thesis is to create a case study describing a specific case of the burn-out syndrome of one respondent from the pedagogical community. The case study is based on a qualitative research using semi-structured interviews with this respondent. The research is supported by interviews with the respondent's colleagues, employer and therapist. Also some other additional research methods are used to complete the complex picture of the situation and to deepen the comprehension of this specific case.

This thesis deals with the deep knowledge of the pupils of primary school who attend special school, a primary school established pursuant to Section 16 (9) of the Education Act. The main aim of the thesis was to describe the broad context of a child attending this type of school. The aim of the theoretical part was to characterize themes - mental disabilities, education of pupils with mentally disabilities, deprivation and socially disadvantaged environment, including issues of Gypsies ethnicity. The practical part has a qualitative charakter and presents case studies of five pupils. The aim was to produce detailed diagnostics and understanding of special school pupils through case studies, interviews with children, teachers, parents and teacher assistants.

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of alternative and augmentative communication in the education of children with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and impaired communication skills. The theoretical part defines the concept of communication and speech, describes the development of communication in childhood and represents various categories of impaired communication skills. The next chapter defines the ASD, its classification and speeches. Furthermore, the theoretical part presents individual alternative and augmentative communication systems and focuses on their advantages and disadvantages in the education of children. The empirical part of the work is processed in the form of qualitative research, where the outputs are represented by case studies based on observations and interviews, which are focused on communication systems used by students with the ASD. The main goal is to focus on children with the ASD and their ability to use the alternative and augmentative communication systems in their development and education.

This diploma thesis The issue of inclusion in practice at a selected secondary vocational school and primary school in the district of Mělník deals issues of inclusion in elementary, lower secondary and vocational education of a student with specific educational needs. For a presentation of the development of her education a case study has been set. Defining a role of a teacher's assistant during the process of education. Comparing the running of inclusion of a student during lower secondary with vocational education. Issues of a student during practical training at the work place. Methods of a structured interview with key pedagogical staff were used in this theses with afterwards summary and interpretation of the results. The goal of my diploma thesis is introduce one of alternative direction {--} music therapy, to outline the sphere of specific learning and behavior disorders, and also to give a guide, how to apply components of music therapy during the work with children with these disorders. The thesis consists of two parts {--} a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part focuses on defining key terms, such as music therapy, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dysortographia, dyscalculia, dyspinxia, dysmusia, dyspraxia. In my work I aim to clarify the question of ADHD and try to point out the relation of particular learning and behavior disorders. The practical part includes twenty activities that were made firstly according to a methodical manual written by M. Beníčková and Z. Vilímek, who use the Czech method of music therapy {--} Music of body, and secondly on the base of casuistry of two boys attending special practical school. Each activitiy should develop particular skills, comprises tools, motivation, its own description and analysis coming out of a practical accomplishment. The method of observing was used for the evaluation.

The thesis focuses on the socio-educational work methods of the probation and mediation services and of its workers in relation to their clients with imposed probation supervision and on the opportunities for development and support of their healthy social functioning. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part initially are defined the basic concepts and terms, then it is described the target group of conditionally released from prison clients, which currently are under supervision of a probation officer. The thesis sees the imprisonment as a difficult life situation and it deals with the influence of penitentiary environment on the personality of the convict in relation to his further development. In the second part are described the specific activities of the probation and mediation service workers in relation to clients from the target group. The thesis focuses on the socio-educational work of the probation officers, as well as social workers or other organizations for social prevention and their impact on the social stabilization of individuals, belonging to the target group.
