This thesis "The Tatra company in the period of so-called normalization through eyes of its employees and residents of Kolín", concerning of state privatized enterprise in Kolín. This thesis examines the views and daily life of the employees of the company and residents of Kolín. The work provides an overview of the history and development of the company Tatra. Represents district Kolín and focuses primarily on the description in the period of. Normalization, which touched city, business, residents but also the whole of Czechoslovakia. The thesis is based mainly on archival materials, historical periodicals and interviews, which were conducted by the method oral history with contemporary witnesses. It connects the working environment, personal lives, leisure activities, social culture of the city and residents who were part of a large company and history of the city of Kolín. At the same time, the work seeks to highlight the positives and negatives period of so-called normalization and current relationship of people to the place where they lived more or less part of their lives.

(in English) The subject of the present thesis is a complex of realizations and projects of Czech architect Jindřich Freiwald (1890-1945) in the field of theatre architecture and its putting into context of Czech interwar theatre architecture. The initial part outlines theatre building as a specific architectonic problem and shows the important moments of its evolution. The subsequent chapter focuses on the situation of Czech theatre architecture between the World Wars and presents briefly the constituent realizations of individual theatre buildings with their promoters, interior organization and outer form. The next part of the thesis deals with the personality of Jindřich Freiwald, his works and production of the Freiwald & Böhm studio. Subsequently, the crucial part of this thesis presents executed theatre buildings by Jindřich Freiwald - Jirásek Theatre in Hronov, Karel Pippich Theatre in Chrudim, Municipal Theatre in Kolín, item project of the Jiřík Theatre in Poděbrady, placing of the Theatre Na kovárně in Poděbrady, project of reconstruction of the Dusík Theatre in Čáslav and project of theatre in Čelákovice . This M. A. thesis evaluates the impact of big investments on the spatial structure and the development of Kolín. It includes the analysis of the investment environment development in the Czech republic after 1989, the problematics of industrial zones, foreign direct investments, urbanization and spatial structure of a city. On the basis of literature and data studies the author applies all the gained theoretical pieces of knowledge on the city of Kolín. The main aim is to define the most important processes (especially those connected with industrial production) that lead to significant changes and to the growth of the city.

Centra měst jsou přeplněna automobily, je tedy nutné prosazovat šetrné druhy dopravy, jako je například cyklodoprava. V teoretické části je popsáno fungování veřejného sektoru, přiblížena problematika veřejných statků a veřejných zakázek. Jsou zde přiblíženy cíle Národní strategie cyklistické dopravy a nástroje BYPAD+ na podporu cyklodopravy ve městech. Dále jsou popsány vlivy a přínosy tohoto druhu alternativní dopravy a možnosti financování. Cílem diplomové práce je analýza stávajícího stavu cyklistické dopravy v Kolíně a jeho okolí, stanovení hlavních priorit a dílčích cílů strategie cyklistické dopravy a návrh vývojového programu, který by umožnil zhodnotit politiku cyklodopravy v tomto městě a přinést návrhy na zlepšení této politiky do budoucna.

The quality of soil intended for the housing development is the topic of diploma thesis. Frequently, the local soil of the highest quality is built on. For the purpose of this thesis there were 5 model areas defined: these are the areas of Roudnice, Říčany, Slaný, Vlašim, and Kolín. The thesis describes the quality of soil which is built on in these areas. The extent of housing development in these areas is specified on the basis of landscape plans. As such, it is possible to determine the quality of soil intended for the future housing development. Moreover, the thesis deals with the legislative protection of soil. Diploma thesis acquants reader about decision problems at Střední odborné škola informatika a spojů a Střední odborné učiliště Kolín. Chosen problem are desribed and analysed, but also variants of solution are created, so tehy can be used as an support to decision making for school manager. These problems are about getting new students, usage of unused rooms of dorm and school cafeteria. For creating variant of solutions Cobb-Douglas utility function is used, moreover the thesis teaches reader how to work with it, so a manager of school can use it for his own decision making proces. Diploma thesis was created by request of a principal Ing. Miloš Hölzl as he is awaiting the results.

This diploma thesis should contribute to the study of leisure time activities since the middle of the last century. The object of this thesis is history of Sokol Skittles team Kolín. Research was made with the method of oral history interviewing eleven narators. Attention is focused in particular from the sixties to the seventies of the last century, when the members successfully represented Czechoslovakia in international competitions. There are two scopes to the research, regarding sport achievements and the preception of narators.

The submitted diploma thesis aims to evaluate which transformations of the public green occurred at the turn of the 19th and 20th century with the emphasis on areas primarily used for the cultural and social purposes. One of the most significant subjects creating the specific landscape in the industrial cities in this period are the beautification associations; the objective of the thesis is to point out to their importance. In the introductory chapters the issue is integrated into the historical and social context, the basic terms related to the industrial society are defined. The fundamental of running of the beautification associations together with their activities are introduced. The necessary part of this work is also a treatise concerning the importance of public green, its development and typology. The second part includes the regional probe devoted to the transformation of green space within the city Kolín during its transformation into the modern industrial city. On the basis of acquired archival data, is in the frame of this issue, evaluated the activity of the local beautification association, which enabled the creation of contribution regarding the still insufficiently analysed relationship between the society and public green.

The Diploma thesis "Křivoklát Altarpiece" tries to process the monographical issues of a late gothic altarpiece retable. The altar has survived as a part of stylistically uniform area of Křivoklát's chapel. Author primarily studies this work of an outstanding quality in the context of the second half of the 15th century of the Central European artistic product. The work is compared with the artistic works of the same type. In addition to that the author tries to clarify iconographic issues of the altarpiece which are often mentioned in specialized literature. The Diploma thesis mainly focuses on the altar's sculpture decoration with the goal to clarify its stylistic origins and the time of its creation. Křivoklát Altarpiece represents one of the most important works coming out of Prague's Jagellonian court.
