Syftet med detta examensarbete är att utforma en blogg som kan fungera som ett verktyg för kommunikation kring historia. Bloggens målgrupp är elever på grundskolans senare år och intentionen med bloggen är att den ska stimulera ett intresse av historia såväl som ett historiemedvetande hos dess läsare. Arbetet grundas i en kvantitativ enkätundersökning kring målgruppens intresse av historia och bloggar. Resultatet av arbetet är en, i teorin, uppbyggd blogg vid namn ”Historiabloggen”. Det visar sig att bloggens form i teorin kan främja ett intresse av historia samt ett historiemedvetande. Främst på grund av dess möjlighet att alltid utgå från nuet, dels genom att den kan uppdateras löpande och därmed hålla en stark förankring i dagsaktuella händelser och skeenden och dels eftersom den kan utgå från läsarens egna frågor och funderingar till historien genom dess kommunikativa möjligheter. / The aim of this thesis is to develop a blog which can function as a tool for communication about history. The blog’s target group is students in age 12 to 15. The intention is that the blog should stimulate an interest in history and history awareness among its readers. The thesis is based on a quantitative survey about the interest in history and blogs in the target group. The result of the thesis consists of a blog named “Historiabloggen”. It turned out that the form of the blog could, in theory, endorse a stimulated interest in history and history awareness. The reason for this is mainly the strong capability of the blog to start in the present. This is partly due to the fact that the blog can be updated several times a day, and therefore be anchored in present day events; and partly due to the communication the blog enables, which makes it possible to start in the reader and his or hers questions and thoughts.
