Hybridní kompozity kombinující krátká houževnatá vlákna a částicové plnivo v polymerní matrici / Hybrid Composites Combining Short Deformable Fibers and Particulate Fillers in Polymeric Matrix

Smrčková, Markéta January 2011 (has links)
In this work, the effect of adding short deformable polyvinylalcohol fibers into dimethacrylate resins on mechanical properties of composite materials was investigated. Furthermore, micro- or nano-fillers were added into the matrix. The effect of filler/short fibers combination on mechanical properties of so-called hybrid composites was studied. Composites were characterized by differential compensation photocalorimetry (DPC), termogravimetric (TGA) and dynamic mechanical (DMA) analysis. The fracture surfaces were examined using scanning electron (SEM) and confocal laser (CLSM) microscopy. Elastic modulus and strength, the critical value of stress intensity factor and strain energy release rate and the viscoelastic properties of composite materials were measured. The mechanical properties of composite materials are affected not only by the type of filler/reinforcement, but also by properties of the matrix. These properties also depend on the way of network formation during photo-initiated polymerization. For this reason, heat of polymerization, degree of conversion and the maximum polymerization rate of mixture of dimethacrylate monomers were determined.

Vliv adhezní mezivrstvy na lomově-mechanické chování kompozitu PP + anorganické plnivo. / Influence of adhesive layer on the mechanical behavior of PP+ inorganic filler composite.

Švestková, Dana January 2011 (has links)
The diploma thesis was dealt with the study of system PP and particular filler, specifically PPH and like a filler was used commercially available CaCO3 (SOCAL P3). This type of filler is declared by the producer as a filler without surface treatment. The submitted thesis had a goal to find and testing the suitable method and methodology for defined surface treatment of the filler. This is the first step for systematic study of influence the various types of adhesive layer on mechanical properties of declared composite. The plasma discharge behind static pressure was used for the surface treatment of the fillers. These fillers were afterwards analyzed by using of sedimentation analysis, infra - red spectroscopy (FT-IR) and scan electron microscopy (SEM). The composites with various volume part of the fillers were prepared in PIB and studied by short-time tests. Regarding to experimental demand there wasn't possible to realize the whole originally intended program i. e. study of influence the different types of adhesive layer, including to form the model for FEM approach. Nevertheless finding and testing the suitable method of surface treatment is completely basic for the others study. The above mentioned method was used in this application for the first time and it is possible to consider this process like an original approach.

Mechanická odezva dlouhými vlákny vyztuženého polymerního kompozitu / Mechanical response of long-fiber-reinforced polymer composite

Škriniarová, Nina January 2014 (has links)
This diploma thesis is focused on monitoring of mechanical response of long-fiber reinforced polymer composite. Main part of this thesis was preparation of long-fiber reinforced composite specimens, on which matrix was reinforced by commercially sized glass fibers. For comparison of properties were prepared specimens reinforced by unsized glass fibers. Apart from preparing specimens reinforced by long glass fibers were prepared specimens contains long carbon fibers. For evaluation of mechanical response of the prepared composite specimen were used flexural test and short beam shear test. Mechanical response was evaluated with universal testing machine ZWICK Z010 and data were processed in OriginPro 8 program. Thanks to evaluation of the mechanical response of the prepared specimens was assessed adhesion to fiber-matrix interface. By examining the mechanical response or adhesion can be assessed efficiency of commercial fiber surface treatment and so standardize measurement to compare other options of surface treatments.

Napjatostní, deformační a spolehlivostní analýza přední kompozitní nápravy lehokola / Stress, deformation and safety analysis of the recumbent bicycle frontal composite axle

Ondrejka, Jan January 2014 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with creation of computational model of AZUB recumbent tricycle composite axle for stress strain analysis. The thesis consists of four main parts. The first part contains introduction to the offer of full suspended tricycles from the most known manufacturers. Furthermore it contains introduction to composite materials that makes the main element of AZUB´´s suspension, and the description of the AZUB´´s front axle. In the second part there is detailed compilation of computational model for purpose of stress strain analysis of three load states. The effect of specific material and geometry parameters on axle behavior is discussed with the aim of choosing the most appropriate variant. Third part deals with the manufacturing of the front axle prototype and with tests leading to input data for numerical model and verification of computational model. Modifications and changes that lead to manufacturing of the second prototype are content of the last part. Based on this experience some recommendations for future development of the numerical axle model and the front axle suspension itself are formulated.

Latexem modifikované cementové kompozity / Latex Modified Cement Composites

Kunc, Michal January 2013 (has links)
The subject of dissertation is a study of physic-mechanical properties and development of self-leveling polymer-cement composite of the ternary binder system PC-CAC-CS modified with chemical additives and polymeric substances. The dissertation systematically describes a four-step optimalization of the composite considering its key properties. Experimental part has been focused on monitoring the impact of composite components on selected final properties. Basic physico-mechanical, structural properties and its relations (compressive strength, porosity, flow abilities, setting times) have been analyzed for deeper understanding of the effects of individual composite components. Methods which quantify the existence of the newly formed hydration product – ettringite (XRD, SEM with EDS, calorimetry, dilatometry) has been chosen as additional study methods on selected combinations. A working prototype of self-leveling polymer-cement composite was successfully developed based on systematic process and using of testing procedures and measuring methods.

Analýza měrných řezných sil pro nové obráběné materiály a CNC technologie / Analysis of Specific Cutting Forces for New Materials and CNC Machining

Fiala, Zdeněk Unknown Date (has links)
This dissertation thesis is focused on the analysis of specific cutting forces and accompanying effects during machining of the new materials, composite materials. The experimental part is split up to two main chapters. In the first chapter, the development of specific cutting forces is analyzed in detail when cutting conditions are changing. The experimental machining of glass/polyester and carbon/epoxy composites is described for fibers orientations 0 a 90 (ie, the orientation of the fibers in the feed rate direction and perpendicular to the feed rate direction). The influence of the cutting tool flank wear on the specific cutting force is investigated further. The last section compares the values of specific cutting forces when machining with carbide milling tools deposited by different types of coating. The second chapter describes the measurement of sound spectrums generated by cutting process, sound maps creating and finding possible correlations between dominant frequencies of the sound and the specific cutting forces, or the cutting tool flank wear. The measurements are described for the cases of machining steel 15 260.7 and glass-polyester composite material.
