This diploma thesis presents compiled and edited collection of letters from the czech landscape painter František Kaván (1866-1941), a scholar of Julius Mařák's painting school, to the publisher and gallerist František Topič (1858-1941), the painter Oldřich Blažíček (1887-1953) and the librarian and bibliographer Ladislav Jan Živný (1872-1949). The edition is based on 104 letters kept in the Museum of Czech Literature in Prague and the Archives of the National Gallery in Prague. The correspondence describes a life of the painter from the year 1894 to 1941. The diploma thesis analyses and comments approachable literature and deals with relevant sources of material. Editorial comment summarizes principles and methods applied in this thesis, one part is dedicated to the editor Svatopluk Klír. The main parts are chapters based on commentary of selected passages of 104 edited documents with further relevant information in the apparatus. Fulltext edition of mentioned documents is a part of the appendix. A part of the thesis are indices and list of sources and literature. Jitka Nešporová doctoral thesis ABSTRACT The doctoral thesis focuses on the translation persona and work of Ludvík Kundera. A poet himself, he translated verse first and foremost and was able to do so from many languages, although he sometimes resorted to the use of interlinear translations. The research, however, concentrates primarily on the description, analysis and reception of his direct translations in the Czech - German language pair, which was predominant in Kundera's translation work. The thesis contributes to the understanding of the history of Czech literary translation after 1945 by describing Kundera's translation method, making accessible part of his literary estate, notably his correspondence, and providing an update to Kundera's translation bibliography. Kundera is best known as the exclusive, authorized translator of Bertolt Brecht's drama and poetry. His translations of Expressionists Georg Trakl and Gottfried Benn, for which he received the State Award for Literary Translation in 1996, are considered canonical today. The same holds true for his translations of Paul Celan's poetry and Alfred Kubin's novel Die andere Seite (The Other Side). Kundera was also the first to introduce Czech readers to the poetry of Alsatian Dadaist Hans Arp and the poetry of East German lyricist Peter Huchel....

The main purpose of this thesis is to present the biography of Arthur Wellesley, the first duke of Wellington (1769-1852) with the connection to his political career in the top political offices primarily in the years 1815-1832. With the respect to the way how Wellington concerned to his political negotiations, this thesis also try to look at the duke's childhood and adolescence. Based on the chronological order the large area of the thesis especially attends to the British facts, which comes close to us through the Wellington's political activity. This work deals with the key political issues incidental to the duke's career, e.g. Bill of Pains and Penalties, Catholic Emancipation, or Parliamentary Reform. We can come to the conclusion that his key political attitudes which had a great impact on his decisions were "the service to the state and the King", "non-party feeling in political debates", and "the demand of a discipline", not only for himself, but for his colleagues and subordinates too. Abstract: Louis Leger, french Slavophile, Slavicist and promoter of Czech issues in France in the second half of the 19th century, led correspondence with leading figures of the French nation as well as with the personalities of the Slavic word. Leger's correspondence with the Czech national elite is evidence of his interest in the Czech issue. Correspondence written in Czech and French is stored in the Literary Archive of the Museum of Czech Literature in Prague. The aim of this thesis is to discuss the Leger's written correspondence and present its contents to readers with regard to the historical context.

Tato disertační práce se zabývá odhadem pózy kamery z korespondencí 3D a 2D přímek, tedy tzv. perspektivním problémem n  přímek (angl. Perspective- n -Line, PnL). Pozornost je soustředěna na případy s velkým počtem čar, které mohou být efektivně řešeny metodami využívajícími lineární formulaci PnL. Dosud byly známy pouze metody pracující s korespondencemi 3D bodů a 2D přímek. Na základě tohoto pozorování byly navrženy dvě nové metody založené na algoritmu přímé lineární transformace (angl. Direct Linear Transformation, DLT): Metoda DLT-Plücker-Lines pracující s korespondencemi 3D a 2D přímek a metoda DLT-Combined-Lines pracující jak s korespondencemi 3D bodů a 2D přímek, tak s korespondencemi 3D přímek a 2D přímek. Ve druhém případě je redundantní 3D informace využita k redukci minimálního počtu požadovaných korespondencí přímek na 5 a ke zlepšení přesnosti metody. Navržené metody byly důkladně testovány za různých podmínek včetně simulovaných a reálných dat a porovnány s nejlepšími existujícími PnL metodami. Metoda DLT-Combined-Lines dosahuje výsledků lepších nebo srovnatelných s nejlepšími existujícími metodami a zároveň je značně rychlá. Tato disertační práce také zavádí jednotný rámec pro popis metod pro odhad pózy kamery založených na algoritmu DLT. Obě navržené metody jsou definovány v tomto rámci.

Detection of objects based on color is not commonly used method of computer vision. There are many methods thats deals with the detection of significant points, but the color information has been omitted. The goal of this thesis is to design method of the detection significant color image areas and these areas match up with areas detected in another image. I analyzed features of detectors required to identify the reciprocal correspondence of images, defined the color significance concept, described basic color models and their properties, and a design of statistically compiled data - based method was described. Algorithms for the detection of color use color models RGB and HSV. Correspondence of areas detected in different images is performedy Kohonen neural network. The first input vector can teach Kohonen neural network and the second vector is classified by this network. To remove erroneous classifications RANSAC method is used. As a result, the method can be used for basic and rapid determination of correspondence between images, or to speed up commonly used methods for detection of significant points. At the end of the thesis are presented programs, showing functionality and options of design methods. The designed algorithms have been developed in MATLAB.

The diploma thesis titled Jakub Deml's Family in Miscellaneous Letters and in His Work encloses an edition of letters of the writer Jakub Deml (1878-1961), which were delivered from him to his family. The correspondence of the years 1902-1961 comprises 81 letters. The mail explains many events which took place in the author's life, and it elucidates also several facts enabling deeper understanding of his work. An edition commentary, list of the mail, name register and annotation is attached to the edition of the correspondence. The supplementary commentary introduces the most important members of the author's family, deals with the reflections of the characters of mother and sister Matylda in the work and describes the form of the two kinship chronicles: V Zabajkalí and Mohyla.

The thesis presents an edition of lettres by writer Jakub Deml (1878-1961) with his long- standing friend, priest Vladimír Evermod Balcárek (1885-1974). Their mutual correspondence from 1905 to 1959 on the one hand records a lot of events from poet's private life, on the other hand it is a source for deeper understanding of his works. The edition is completed by editorial comment, list of correspondence, name index and explanatory notes which purpose is to clearif further circumstances of the mentioned events. Additonal comments try to introduce the personality of addressee, Vladimír Evermod Balcárek and the two most dramatic events which are mentioned in the lettres. Studies and Correspondence of the priests-to-be of the Bohemian Brethren in 1610-1618 Markéta Růčková Two wooden boxes were found during the reconstruction of the former Minorite monastery Na Karmeli at Mladá Boleslav in 2006. The boxes concealed the so-called Archives of Matouš Konečný. The Archives contained documents that originated in the office of, or were addressed to, one of the four bishops of the Bohemian Brethren, Matouš Konečný (1569-1622), whose seat was at Mladá Boleslav. A significant part of the discovery consists of correspondence addressed to Bishop Konečný. A substantial part of the correspondence are documents related to the dispatch of young aspiring Brethren priests for study at educational institutions abroad. Along with letters of the students themselves, sent from Bremen and Beuthen an der Oder (Bytom Odrzański in Poland), where the young men attended academic grammar schools (gymnasia illustria), the boxes contain the students' pledges and accounts of their expenditures. The students' reports are supplemented with the correspondence of their teachers. The collection of letters from students and teachers as well as other documents being thus thematically delimited, our principal objective was to perform an analysis of their content and to prepare an edition of the documents....

This document deals with experimental verifying to use machine learning algorithms AdaBoost or WaldBoost to make classifier, that is able to find point in the second picture that matches original point in the first picture. This work also depicts finding points of interest in image as a first step of finding correspondence. Next there are described some descriptors of points of interest. Corresponding points could be useful for 3D modeling of shooted scene.
