Title of thesis is: ,,Vanished cultural landscape of the Czech border - an interactive learning guide for the 2nd grade school". Graduation thesis consists of an analysis of literature (textbooks geography, citizenship and education history, professional, nonfiction literature, didactic literature and multimedia documents). The practical part has a form of an interactive learning guide. Most of the work is devoted to the issue of the Sudetenland which to the largest extent represents the vanished cultural landscape of the Czech border. Sudetenland are evaluated from several different perspectives. An integral part of a thorough and detailed geographic mapping will clarify the historical circumstances but also the consequences that come with intricate development of the Czech border to bring ,,our" society today. The main section has its own interactive learning guide for students of upper primary school. In our case it will serve as the superstructure teaching material and therefore it can be used for grammar schools as well.

The result of the proposed diploma thesis on "Revitalization variants assessment of the Maříž chetau park and proposal of alternative solution of park revitalization concept" is a "own variant" and evaluation of the alternative solutions for the revitalization of the Maříž chateau park. The first variant is named "non-intervention variant", which describes a status of the chateau park in year 2009, before making any intervention for revitalization. The second variant is a "design variant", that planners worked out for the owner of the park. The last variant is the "own variant" processed by the author of this diploma thesis. Each variant is evaluated in cultural-historical, ecological, economical, and social and educational terms through SWOT analysis. The diploma thesis found that in a village of Maříž there is already partly revitalization of the greenery. The main problem is the surface water pollution by waste water at present. The waste water problem is processed within of alternative solution of park revitalization koncept.

Spoil bank in Podkrušnohoří is an illustration of the violation, where a shut-down of countryside development due to logging operations happened. The goal of every activity, which negatively modifies countryside, should be sequent reparation. In case of Podkrušnohoří spoil bank such a recultivation should be proposed and countryside items, which would increase ecological countryside stability and would help to awaken the countryside into its historical form, should be found.

The Dissertation submitted describes and analyses the development and existing situation of the landscape (in terms of land use and land & vegetation cover) in the {\clqq}Novohradské Mountains`` region between 1955 and 2009, in the cadastral district situated in the catchment areas of the Malše river, as well as of the Tichá river and of the Pohořský brook. On the basis of the statistical data of the Land Registry and detailed terrain mapping there have been analysed individual types of land and distribution of elements of the land cover in relation to individual cadastral districts. The results of the issues examined are contained in the Annexes to this Dissertation (tables, charts and figures) and are completed with verbal descriptions in the text part of Dissertation.

Exploring theoretical intersections of translation studies and linguistic landscape studies, this thesis both sums up existing research and presents new ideas, so as to show how the two disciplines can benefit from each other. The main focus of the first chapter is distinctive features of translations in linguistic landscape. The empirical part has several aims. The linguistic landscape of Prague's city centre is examined, above all the use of foreign languages and translations on signs, employing some of the theoretical concepts from the first chapter. The thesis also looks into translativity in linguistic landscape. A selection of translations from Czech to English is then assessed by language specialists who are native speakers of English, helping us identify flaws in the translations.

The diploma thesis "The media landscape in Spain" aims to describe the contemporary Spanish media scene and apply the basic characteristics and particularities of the "polarized pluralist model" media system which was described by Hallin and Mancini in their book Comparing Media Systems and whose features are also allocated to other South European countries (Italy, Portugal, Greece and marginally also France) in addition to Spain. The description of the press and audiovisual media market itself is preceded by three extensive chapters dealing with press media development in Spain from its beginnings in the 17th century until today, media legislation and the concentration of media ownership. It was the development of the press (and, in the 20th century, the development of audiovisual media) which, due to its exceptionally close ties to politics, determined the shape of the contemporary Spanish media landscape, which is why the thesis focuses primarily on this topic. The historical and political development of the country and constantly changing systems of government led to frequent changes in law (press laws in particular), which makes Spain very different from other European countries in this aspect. The diploma work deals with the paintings of Antonín Hudeček from around 1900, which are viewed from two positions. The first thematic area includes the analysis of selected thought sources (the topic of a soul or a mood in the art), the motives (mirroring) and the themes (bathing boys) of Hudeček's paintings, which are treated with regard to the period art criticism a thought currents. The second part is made by analysis of some art sources which were essential for Antonín Hudeček's paintings around 1900. These were especially Hudeček's training with figuralists in Prague and Munich and the possible foreign inspiration, most importantly from the context of the contemporary art colonies and informal art groups. Fundamental theme of the work is the relationship of figure and landscape in the work of Antonín Hudeček around 1900. The catalogue of Hudeček's paintings from this period and excerpts from selected periodicals serve as the main methodological tool for comparison of Hudeček's work with other artists. Hudeček's schematic biography is also presented in the appendix of the work.

The thesis deals with the influence of telecommunication transmitters on the aesthetic value of landscape. It uses both environmental and sociological approach. Subject of investigation is the relationship between the aesthetic stimulus (landscape) and the recipient (man). For the analysis, Scenic Beauty Estimation Method is used as a psychological procedure which measures aesthetic preferences and allows adequately assess how society perceives the presence of various types of telecommunication transmitters in the landscape, including the so-called camouflage. Analysis also includes a comparison of affected and unaffected groups. The aim of the thesis is to assess whether the perception of the presence of telecommunication transmitters in the landscape is negative. The thesis deals with hypothesis that "camouflages" reduce the negative perception of telecommunication transmitters in the landscape.
