Michailidis, Dimitrios January 2010 (has links)
This thesis focuses on analysis of current problems of so called "South wing countries" of EMU and Ireland (countries which are being called "PIIGS") from the theory of optimum currency area point of view. It uses the static and dynamic version of the theory as a framework for analyzing the problems of internal and external imbalance within those countries and mainly the connection between current accounts deficits, high level of private and public debts, loss of competitiveness in international trade and high percent of unemployment. The thesis comes with a conclusion that the main factors behind the crisis were inflation and inflation expectations which then through different inflation differentials created asymmetric shocks in monetary policy. This inflation differential phenomenon is described in Walters critique and with other theories creates the basis of analytical part. In the appendix it assesses the readiness of Czech Republic for accepting the euro, based on the analysis made in this thesis.

Kvalita života v krajích v roce 2013: jakými ekonomickými ukazateli ji hodnotit? / What economic indicators are the most appropriate measures of quality of life in Czech regions in 2013?

Holanová, Tereza January 2014 (has links)
The master thesis introduces comparison of economic situation and overall quality of life in regions of the Czech Republic in 2013. Based on hierarchical Quality-of-life Index (QLI), the thesis confirms stated hypothesis, which assumes that ordered lists of regions by GDP per capita and alternative, more complex QLI will differ. Aforementioned index is composed of 24 cross-section indicators, which are sorted into three particular categories. Inputs can be considered both consistent and comparable, since the analysis is based on data published by Czech statistical office, individual ministries and official specialized institutions. As the following synthesis proves, Prague region is the best ranked - especially thanks to its favorable economic and demographic conditions. The thesis therefore denies another hypothesis, which expects Prague to perform worse due to its high rate of crime and lower quality of environment than in other regions. Regression analysis implies that total GDP per capita contribution to QLI corresponds to 70 percent.

The diploma thesis Critical acclaim of Czech female writers' topical work on the Second World War analyses book reviews of three chosen novels devoted to the theme of the Second World War, by Kateřina Tučková, Alena Mornštajnová and Květa Legátová. The aim of the thesis is to document how the works have been received by Czech literary critics and reviewers. Vysokoškolská kvalifikační práce:ATELIÉROVÁ ČÁST (D) / The Final Thesis - The Art Project (D)

Maša, Vojtěch January 2016 (has links)
In my diploma thesis, which is called "University Qualification Thesis: MASTER'S DEGREE DIPLOMA THESIS - STUDIO PART (D), I try to fulfill the protocol, which is specified in the following points: - Get grade "D" from my diploma thesis - studio part, - If I don't get grade "D" from my diploma thesis - studio part, I did not fulfill the assignment and the goal. Therefore, the project should not be considered as successful and should be graded "F". The thesis doesn't have a visual form. The project itself is just the "concept" described in the two points mentioned above in the text including all the consequences and its progression. My creative contribution is only to induce the situation. This text is just a text part of the documentation used for easier understanding and for contextualizing. Thus, this text is a lexical (and graphical in case of the diagram shown in the full text) comment on the project and it should not be subject to evaluation. Additional form of documentation of the project will be an audio recording of defense of this project taken by a record company. My speech during the defense is also not meant to be a performace as an art discipline and therefore should not be assessed.

Pražské sochařské výstavy 1898 - 1916. Příspěvek k problematice galerijní prezentace sochy / Prague sculpture exhibitions 1898 - 1916. A contribution to the theme of gallery sculpture presentation

Cermanová, Jana January 2013 (has links)
Jana Cermanová Prague sculpture exhibitions 1898 - 1916 A contribution to the theme of gallery sculpture presentation Dissertation synopsis Sculpture as an artistic discipline experienced a dynamic rise in the Czech lands at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. This followed the much admired example of France, where Charles Morice, referencing Rodin and his pupils, asserted the dominance of modern sculpture over painting in 1910. Thanks in large part to major art world figure and educator J. V. Myslbek, the Czech lands also saw the development of a highly ambitious group of sculptors poised to address a growing social demand for monumental works (particularly memorials) that recaptured the city's public space. Sculptors worked on architectural commissions for decorative sculptures and on orders for funerary objects, which guaranteed them an income and enabled them to pursue their own creative work. However, it was chiefly this "flood of monuments" that attracted public attention to sculptors and garnered them social prestige. Sculptors became more deeply involved in art events and played a major role in addressing contemporary art world issues. The public boom enjoyed by sculpture carried over into exhibition halls, where ...
