Dušková, Daniela January 2014 (has links)
Project title: Optimalization of the regime of marker's examination of clinically important infections in blood donors Project author: Daniela Dušková, M.D. Project supervisor: prof. Vladimír Tesař, M.D., Dr.Sc., MBA, FASN The aim of this project is to contribute to the discussion about introducing the methods of molecular biology into the routine blood donor testing in the transfusions departments in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part includes a brief history and some turning points in transfusion medicine. The next part within the theoretical section is dedicated to the problems of infectious diseases concerning transfusion and the general examination processes used during the selection of blood donors. The end of the theoretical part concentrates on existing possibilities of markers' examination of clinically important infections in blood donors, including the list of processes performed in the Czech Republic, the European Union and other countries. The practical part describes this study, ie. the routine screening test of blood donors using the CMIA method (a routine method) and using RT-Real Time PCR method (a molecular biology method) for detecting infectious markers (HCV, HBV, HIV). Within this part, the principle of both methods and the process of actual examinations are described in...

Možnosti využití kyseliny peroctové v terapii amura bílého (Ctenopharyngodon idella) / Possibilities of the use of peracetic acid in therapy of grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella)

ŠAUER, Pavel January 2014 (has links)
The aim of the present study was to assess an influence of two different therapeutical concentrations of peracetic acid on selected haematological and biochemical parameters in grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella). Fish were radomly distributed to aquaria and exposed to concentrations of 0 mg.l-1 PAA (control group), 1.0 mg.l-1 PAA (P1 group), 3.0 mg.l-1 PAA (P2 group). Almost total mortality of fish was observed in the concentration 3.0 mg.l-1 PAA during the treatment comparing with the P1 group and untreated control where no mortality was observed. After the end of the experimental exposure of fish to peracetic acid, the sampling of blood has been realised. The samples of the blood were examined in order to determine haematological and biochemical parameters. Consequently, there were no significant differences (p<0.05) in a haematological profile of fish exposed to concentration of 1.0 mg.l-1 PAA. Goblet cells count and size have risen, that caused exposure of fish to peracetic acid. In the biochemical profile of fish, significant changes (p<0.01) in three parameters were found after exposure of fish to peracetic acid in concentration 1.0 mg.l-1. Changed parameters were: aspartate aminotransferase, creatine kinase and lactate dehydrogenase. The changes were moderate and it can be supposed that these changes are reversible. No significant change (p<0.05) in haematological parameters points out to the minimum negative influence of recommended therapeutical concntration (1.0 mg.l-1 PAA) to the health of C. idella.

Porovnání krmných dávek s různým obsahem antokyanů ve výživě králíků

Metnarová, Eva January 2019 (has links)
In this thesis the need for nutrients for rabbits was described. Anthocyanins were described as biological substances contained in wheat with non-traditional coloring and their possible antioxidant effects. The second part of the review is devoted to bio-chemical parameters of animal blood. The practical part was aimed at the study of the influence of feed mixture with increased content of anthocyanins. In the experiment, a wheat species PS Karkulka with purple pericarp was used and Vanessa was used as control wheat species. Both of these made 15% of the feed diet. 18 rabbit females of which 9 were in the experimental group and 9 in the control group were included in the experiment. They were fed a complete pelleted mixture. In the experiment, the weight of the animals, the average weight gains, the feed consump-tion, the feed conversion ratio were monitored. After slaughter, slaughter yield, bio-chemical blood analysis and antioxidant activity were monitored. The results show that the differences in average live weight were statistically in-significant, only at week 8 the differences in live weight was statistically significantly higher in the control group. Average weight gains were evaluated as statistically insig-nificant. Statistically significantly higher average feed consumption was found in the control group. The carcass weight was significantly higher in the control group. There were no statistically significant differences in biochemical parameters and blood anti-xodation activity.

Využití netradičních krmiv ve výživě brojlerových kuřat

Mánková, Lucie January 2017 (has links)
The aim of the study was to determine effect of milk thistle seed cakes in feed mixture for Ross 308 cockerels. The effects to body weight gain, feed conversion, carcass yield, nitrogen retention and biochemical parameters of blood were evaluated. The experimental group (MT40) contained 40% milk thistle seed cakes. It was compared to control group without milk thistle seed cakes. Lower weight gains and higher feed conversion were observed in group MT40 in comparison with the control group. Lower weight gains were probably connected with lower nitrogen retention in MT40 group. On the other hand, the analysis of some blood parameters in MT40 group was favourable, because of stabilization some values. Activity of hepatic enzymes - AST (alanineaminotransferase), ALP (alkaline phosphase) and LD (lactatedehydrogenase) were related to improvement of liver profile and lower damages of other organs like as skeletal muscle.

Role propagandy v online diskurzu vybraných kampaní na podporu dobrovolného dárcovství krve v České republice / The Role of Propaganda in Online Discourse of Selected Blood Donation Campaigns in the Czech Republic

Blažková, Barbora January 2017 (has links)
The voluntary blood donation issue is topical in the Czech Republic since the number of blood donors has not yet reached the number of donors existing in the neighboring countries. Because of this fact the Czech Blood Cross together with transfusion services centers in the Czech Republic and in cooperation with various organizations, e.g. Czech Radio, do their best to obtain new voluntary blood donors via blood donation campaigns. Language of these campaigns is mainly of persuasive character. As such, it is often viewed as a means of white propaganda which stems from factual information and whose aim is to persuade the consumer of the message about the legitimacy of its ideology. White propaganda also helps to build trust which is lately used. In other words, the consumer of the message becomes blood donor. The thesis analyzes persuasive linguistic means of propaganda present in online discourse of the selected campaigns. On the basis of learned facts, the thesis also tries to characterize this discourse type; moreover, it makes suggestions for designing a new blood donation campaign.

Modelování proudění krve v geometrii aneuryzma / Modelování proudění krve v geometrii aneuryzma

Zábojníková, Tereza January 2015 (has links)
The aim of this work is to find a stable scheme which would solve the Stokes problem of the fluid flow, in which an elastic structure is immersed. Unlike most of the schemes solving fluid-structure interaction problems, in our scheme meshes of fluid and structure do not have to coincide. We have restricted ourselves to two-dimensional domain occupied by fluid with one-dimensional im- mersed structure. To describe a fluid-structure interaction, we have used an Immersed boundary method. At first we consider the strucure to be massless. We have modified an existing scheme and made it unconditionally stable, which was mathematically proven and numerically tested. Then we have proposed a modification where the structure is not massless and also proved the uncondi- tional stability in this case. The proposed schemes were implemented using the Freefem++ software and tested on aneurysm-like geometry. We have tested the behavior of our scheme in case when the qrowing aneurysm touches an obstacle, for example a bone (with no-slip condition on the bone boundary). Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Košťálová, Romana January 2010 (has links)
The thesis deals with the issue of blood donation and it has a total of fifteen parts. The first chapter describes theoretical knowledges of motivational factors, altruism and economic view on it. It is followed by informations about the history of blood donation and treatments with blood, anatomy of blood and blood groups. The section of blood donation provides general informations about conditions of donation, resulting benefits, risks for donor and recipient and commercial collection of plasma. The thesis focuses especially on the blood market in the Czech Republic in terms of legislation, supply of blood, its evaluation and ultimately safety of blood. At the end there are published results of the questionnaire survey. Its aim was to find out how the public is looking at blood donation, its promotion, safety and reasons to donate or not to donate blood.
