"Filmy s romským přízvukem": Současný stav romské kinematografie a její perspektiva / "Romani Accented Movies": Current Situation of Romani Cinema and Its future Perspective

Dvorská, Františka January 2011 (has links)
Summary: "Romani Accented Movies": Current situation of Romani Cinema and Its future Perspective The main theoretical approach that underpins this work is based on the concept of an accented cinema formulated by the Iranian film scholar Hamid Naficy. On the basis of his methodological tools the author examines some elements of the "accented style" as they assert themselves in the Roma cinema, and comes to the conclusion that already on a small sample of ten Romani filmmakers we can see certain components that are more or less common to all featured artists. Foremost there is shared existence in the "interspace", which is moreover in some aspects different from the exile or other diaspora filmmakers' "boundary" existence, given by the specific status of the Roma minority in society. Roma cinema is characterized by autobiographical approach and author's self-inscription into the story. From the production point of view these films are mostly alternative, low-budget or art-house ones. Romani cinema is most often supported by public broadcasters, subsidies from the state, nonprofit organizations or small production companies. Staffs are often formed on friendship or family ties, the filmmakers usually work with the similar team of people, hold multiple positions themselves and also are present at different...

Wacudži Tecuró a jeho pojetí etiky v díle Fúdo / Watsuji Tetsuro and his koncept of ethics in his work Fudo

Vojtíšková, Kristýna January 2013 (has links)
Japanese philosopher and ethician Watsuji Tetsurō (1889-1960) implements ethics in ontology and creates an original philosophical system on this basis. This ethical-ontological system represents a philosophical dialogue between East and West far exceeding the Japanese context. Whereas ontology in his phenomenological approach provides a direct link between the development of world cultures and the space in which these cultures have developed, his ethics overcomes the Western concept of individuality, which Watsuji perceived as destructive egoism. He unfolds a concept of ethics fundamentally based on mutual relation or betweenness (aidagara 間 柄), which relates individuals to the community and their existential environment (climate). His work Climate (Fūdo 風土) discusses the relation between individual, community and the climate as a means of understanding the complexity of the real world people live in. Whereas, on the one hand, Watsuji highlights the exclusivity of Japanese culture, on the other hand, emphasizes the importance of preserving the diversity of cultures in its features. Watsuji analyses the Japanese culture in terms of its uniqueness, but also emphasizes its ability to take over new cultural patterns and adapt it. Such a "middle course" approach where cultures recognize their own...

Akulturace imigrantek na české kulturní prostředí na příkladu imigrantek z Ukrajiny a arabských zemí / Acculturation of the immigrant women the case of women immigrants from Ukraine and Arab countries

Koropecká, Markéta January 2013 (has links)
This thesis examines the acculturation process of women immigrant to Czech cultural environment. Acculturation can be defined as adaptation to cultural environment other than the individual was born in. Just like the other phases of international migration, this process is gendered, i.e. influenced by roles, norms and patterns of behavior assigned to women and men by society. Experts have shown that women experience acculturation differently than men. Due to their reproductive role they are considered to be carriers and protectors of immigrant groups' cultural identity and are expected to transmit cultural values to the future generations. The acculturation process' assessment was based on theory of stress and coping. For qualitative research, two groups of immigrant women, from Ukraine and Arab countries, were selected. The main objective of this work was to determine whether the respondents from these countries were experiencing acculturative stress during their adaptation to new cultural environments, how they coped with this stress and also what influenced their acculturation in Czech environment. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with the respondents and were evaluated using qualitative content analysis. Keywords: acculturation, culture, gender, Ukrainian women, women from Arab countries

Kůrka, Rostislav January 2013 (has links)
This thesis attempts to explore the understanding of borders of ancient Israel and their extent based on biblical account. The starting point is exploring the very term "border" and its meaning in the Old Testament. This thesis operates with both geographic and cultural or ethnic boundary based on archeological finds and material culture. In comparing biblical and non-biblical material it attempts to discover how closely do various texts describing Israel's boundary reflect possible historical reality. In the cases where the boundary delineated by the text seems to be rather symbolic this thesis considers various possible reasons for such a delineation of ancient Israel and attempts to find likely influences of political or religious agenda, historical situation or myth on respective delineations.

Bednaříková, Barbora January 2013 (has links)
Innovation and change are phenomenons any time. Within the scope of the Theory and Prac- tice of School Management module, the theses deals with management of a specific change, namely introduction of school uniforms into practice. The theoretical part of the thesis is based on relevant specialized literature on school management, marketing strategy, school culture and change management. It is completed with available foreign experience and con- clusions of surveys and research of media image, which is playing an important role in respect with the issue. The practical part, i.e. research, provides information and data obtained by the author from interviews with management of schools currently introducing school uniforms. The research results show that the original expectations have not been met in any of the pro- jects included. Understanding the cause of this failure, or else, partial success of the projects, constitutes an important part of the information summary designed for school headmasters considering introduction of school uniforms. The generalized research findings combined with theoretical knowledge imply a set of key recommendations introduced in the thesis con- clusion.
