Processförbättring av projektstyrning vid internutveckling av kundorienteradesystem : En etnografisk fallstudie på Alecta Pensionsförsäkringar AB / Process improvement of project managing during internal development of customer oriented systems : An ethnographic case study at Alecta Pensionsförsäkringar AB

Sundman, Liv January 2018 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to study and evaluate a project management process on a company as well as its application within the company and finally to propose improvements that can be made. The research consists of a literature study and an ethnographic case study at one of the development units at Alecta Pensionsförsäkringar AB. Alecta is one of Sweden's leading pension insurance companies specializing on occupational pensions. The system considered is the company's internet office, the portal that customers should be able to use for everyday issues. During the work, the company's project management process, MOPS, has been mapped using facts from internal documentation, interviews with project members, as well as observations made within the company. The system has then been analysed and compared with different types of project management models and changes to the project management process have been proposed. The proposed changes are in consideration of producing high quality customer-oriented systems. The main proposals are: Inform the management and decision-making bodies about the workings of agile models. Introducing agile models as an alternative project management process in customer-oriented development. Customize the documentation requirements depending on the system being developed. At the beginning of a project, superficially educate project members about the selected models and how they work. Provide employees with information on the various models and how they, as well as about where said information is available.
