Diploma thesis is aimed at chemical and biological parameters of Cambisols. Se-lected subtypes were studied in Český Krumlov region (Stagnogleyic Cambisol at local-ity Desky and Haplic Cambisol at locality Malonty). In Třebíč region -- Haplic Cambi-sol (Náměšť) and Leptic Cambisol (Ocmanice) were studied during the period 2008 -- 2013. We determined active and reserved soil reaction, conductivity, nutrient content, and total organic carbon content, fractional composition of humus, humification degree, quality of humic substances in UV-VIS spectral range, bacterial biomass and soil basal respiration. Obtained results showed statistically significant differences in humic sub-stances content after compost amendment.

Side effects of selected nautral compounds.

Tzitzili, Eirini January 2013 (has links)
in English This thesis is a review of substances contained in medicinal plants, the side effects and complications that they provoke. The adverse drug reactions are directly related to the constituents contained in each plant. Information for this work was taken from sources published from 1965 until 2013, especially from The Essential Guide To Herbal Safety and from the databases webmd.com and ncbi.nlm.nih.gov. It is discussed how the use of natural medicinal drugs affect vital organs in the human organism and in which cases their consumption is contraindicated. Central nervous, cardiovascular, urinary, gastrointestinal, endocrine, haemopoietic, respiratory, urinary systems are affected and allergic reactions are possible to occur as complications. Hypericum perforatum is typical for causing gastrointestinal irritations and Chamaemelum nobile and Achillea millefolium are found to cause dermatic complications. Finally, Piper methysticum may induce extreme sedation, since it has anxiolytic and antiepileptic properties. Keywords: side effects, contraindications, medicinal plants, uses, constituents.

Zvýšení zásobení organismu masného skotu selenem prostřednictvím jeho injekční aplikace

Farová, Hana January 2016 (has links)
This diploma thesis Increasing the supply of organism cattle selenium through its injection deals with the use of injection of selenium in beef cattle to aid in the supply of organism with selenium. The first part deals with selenium in general, its metabolism and function in the body. It deals with issues of selenium deficiency and subsequent therapy. The second part is focused on methodology and research results. The experiment was conducted on a herd of beef cattle breed Aberdeen-Angus at a private breeder in southern Bohemia. The herd of mothers were bled to determine the baseline selenium in their blood, then half of the herd was injected with a dose of Selevit and the second half of the herd served as a control. After birth blood was drawn from mothers as well as from their calves. The experimental group had a higher concentration of selenium in the blood, in the herd of mothers the attempt was inconclusive. The calves from mothers in the selenium group had significantly higher levels of selenium in there blood.

Galleria mellonella in vivo model pro studium interakce antimikrobní látka vs. patogen / Galleria mellonella in vivo model for the study of antimicrobial drug vs. pathogen interaction

Polová, Dominika January 2019 (has links)
Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biological and Medical Sciences Study program: Healthcare Bioanalytics Author: Bc. Dominika Polová Supervisor: RNDr. Klára Konečná, Ph.D. Title of thesis: Galleria mellonella in vivo model for the study of antimicrobial drug vs. pathogen interaction Background: This study focuses on establishment of the in vivo invertebrate mo- del Galleria mellonella primarily for the study of in vivo efficacy and toxicity of newly synthetized compounds with proved antiinfective potential. Major part of the study is devoted to optimization of conditions for laboratory insect rearing, determination of lethal infectious doses after infection of Galleria mellonella larvae by methicillin re- sistant Staphylococcus aureus, implementation of methodical approach for assessing the relative acute toxicity of candidate antiinfective compounds, and establishment of laboratory manuals for routine histopathological studies. Methods: In the study Galleria mellonella larvae were reared in stable laboratory con- ditions (37 ◦ C) and in the presence of rich nutrition. Sowing method was used in or- der to obtain infectious LD50. In the preliminary study we focused on acute toxicity of tested compounds and on methodology optimization leading to histopathological...

Účinnost nízkoproteinových krmných směsí s doplňkem limitujících aminokyselin u brojlerů

Kupčíková, Lucie January 2014 (has links)
The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of four crude protein (CP) levels supplemented with limiting amino acids in the broiler diets on broilers growth, feed conversion ratio (FCR) and carcass quality. Hybrid ROSS 308, 2640 chickens, were divided into four groups and they fed grower diets with 22; 20,8; 19,5 and 18% of crude protein. The experiment period lasted from 10 to 30 days of age. Starter and finisher diets were the same for all groups. Grower diets were optimized in digestible limiting amino acids (lysine, methionine, leucine, izoleucine, threonine, tryptofan a valine). The lowest growth intensity was observed in the broilers fed 18% CP (P<0.05) on the other side the highest weight was found in the group fed 19,5% CP (P<0.05). The best FCR was found at feeding 19,5% CP and the worst at feeding 18% CP (P<0.05). The carcass yield and breast yield was the highest in group fed 19,5% CP (P<0.05). The highest proportion of abdominal fat was found in group fed 18% CP (P<0.05). On the basis of the results we can recommend the level 19,5% crude protein in grower diets supplemented by limiting amino acids without negative effect on FCR and broiler growth.

Zastoupení biologicky aktivních látek v semenech révy vinné (Vitis vinifera L.) / Representation of biologically active substances in the grape seeds (Vitis vinifera L.)

Horníčková, Štěpánka January 2015 (has links)
Seeds of 41 white and 22 blue vine varieties cultivated on six vine-growing areas were assessed as a by-product after winemaking on the contents of total polyphenols (TP) and phosphorus (P) spectrophotometrically, total tocols (TC) including individual tocols by HPLC-FLD, and metals (Ca, Mg, Na, K, Fe, Zn, Cu, and Mn) by FAAS. Remaining TP and TC levels were mainly affected by the variety, while levels of microelements (Cu, Mn, and Zn) and P or K by the vine-growing area. The highest TC and TP levels were found in the seeds of white varieties. Varieties of grape seeds have significant impact on the gamma-tocotrienol content. The color of grape varieties has significant impact on alpha-tocotrienol content. Grape seeds from grape cultivated on the Czech growing area contained higher levels of macroelements except P, however no significant differences between growing areas have been found. The crop year has significant influence on TP, Fe and Cu content. Results herein revealed the considerable potential of grape seeds, a by-product of the vinification process, as a valuable inexpensive source of high added value of nutritionally beneficial compounds - polyphenol and tocol antioxidants and macro- and microelements for use as feed additives in animal nutrition.

Vliv agrotechnických faktorů na rentabilitu pěstování sladovnického ječmene

Buchtová, Anna January 2016 (has links)
This thesis analyzes influence of agronomic factors on the profitability of growing spring malting barley. Results were processed from the field experiment on the Experimental Field Station in Žabčice. Spring barley is grown after the previous crop grain maize and sugar beet. There were used different tillage systems - ploughing, loosening and direct sowing. The effects of these factors were evaluated on grain yield, protein content and other quality parameters. In 2015, the most proven previous crop was corn when spring barley achieved malting quality. Spring barley grown after sugar beet had high grain yield, but low protein content. For barley grown after corn the best tillage system was loosening. For barley grown after sugar beet it was ploughing. It was favourable weather for growing malting barley in the reporting year. For that reason it was achieved high yields for all variants and there was low effect of fungicides.
