Regulace reklamy na léčiva - informovanost spotřebitele / Regulation of Advertising of Drugs - Education of ConsumerRojko, Ivan January 2008 (has links)
The main objective of my diploma thesis was to explain the principles and basic terms of drug policy in the Czech Republic, and to illustrate all the issues of government regulations in this area. This paper is trying to confront two different kinds of health services. The first one based on liberal principles, without any government intervention (system in USA), and the second one demarcating with regulations and restrictions, devoid of any free market fundamentals (system in EU). It describes the relationship between patient and doctor, and points out the different number of information, they dispose of. This paper is trying to explain the problem of skewed distribution of information in society. It presents how the government regulations in the free market area destroy the source allocation efficiency and goes against the satisfaction of customers' needs.

This master thesis introduces the pharmaceutical industrys marketing communication from the consumers point of view. It is aimed at consumers perception of the marketing communication in this area and at the way it influences their choice in purchases of over-the-counter drugs. Its goal is to find out which source of information leading to the final decision over the purchase of an over-the-counter drug the consumer considers to be the most reliable one, what role the marketing communication plays in the process and what other factors effect consumers while they are choosing and purchasing an over-the-counter drug. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part introduces the pharmaceutical industry, the marketing mix and consumer behaviour. The practical part is based on a questionnaire survey through which the main goal of the thesis is to be reached.

Posouzení ekotoxicity vybraných léčiv / Evaluation of ecotoxicity of selected pharmaceuticalsWeiss, Jan January 2009 (has links)
In recent years consumption of drugs and thus the quantity of their residues in natural ecosystems is increasing. It is necessary to deal with their possible negative effects on the environment. This thesis is focused on the ecotoxicological evaluation of pharmaceuticals. Diclofenac and ibuprofen from the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory substances, penicillin G and ampicillin from the group of antibiotics were tested. Mainly tests on aquatic organisms were used to evaluate of ecotoxicity, because the tested pharmaceuticals are predominantly occurred in the aquatic environment. Daphnia magna, Thamnocephalus platyurus, Artemia salina, Sinapis alba, Lemna minor, and Brachionus calyciflorus were used as testing organisms. Values of LC50, EC50 and IC50 were determinated and the ecotoxicity of pharmaceuticals was compared.

Studium průběhu degradace xenobiotik a biologicky aktivních látek s využitím oxidu titaničitého / Study of xenobiotics and biologically active compounds degradation on titanium dioxidePíšťková, Veronika January 2012 (has links)
Heterogenous photocatalysis using titanium dioxide seems to be a promising method for disposal xenobiotics from the environment. The aim of this diploma thesis is the study of degradation of selected xenobiotics and biologically active substrances applying this method. Theoretical part of diploma thesis deals with the principals of heterogenous photocatalysis by means of a semiconductor TiO2 and the examples of its possible application are mentioned too. The compounds which could be appropriate for a study of degradation were selected from the group of pharmaceuticals and pesticides. The properties of target substances and their environmental impact were described. Furthermore, a bibliographic search focused on the possibilities of their analytical determination was conducted. The experimental part of the thesis describes the experiments with photocatalyst in a form of powder as well as with immobilized photocatalyst in thin layer on a carrier. Identification and quantification of analytes was realized by high performance liquid chromatography with mass spectrometic detection.

Studium vlastností protinádorových léčiv ellipticinu, etoposidu a doxorubicinu ve formě nanočástic / The study of properties of anticancer drugs ellipticine, etoposide and doxorubicin in the forms of nanocarriersLengálová, Alžběta January 2016 (has links)
Currently available anticancer therapies are inadequate and spur demand for improved technologies. Among others, the utilization of nanocarriers for anticancer drug delivery has shown great potential in cancer treatment. Nanocarriers can improve the therapeutic efficiency of the drugs with minimization of the undesirable side effects. To evaluate potential application of this technology, two forms of nanocarriers have been studied: multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and apoferritin. The aim of this study was to determine, whether given cytostatics (ellipticine, etoposide and doxorubicin) are bound to these nanotransporters and how are they released from them, especially depending on pH. Since the pH of the tumor cells is lower than the pH of healthy cells it would be preferred that the drugs would release from nanocarriers at the lower pH while at the physiological pH the release of the drug would be eliminated. The results found show that ellipticine is actually released from its MWCNT- and apoferrtin-encapsulated form at acidic pH (5.0), while at pH 7.4 its interaction with nanocarriers is stable. Ellipticine released from MWCNT is activated by microsomal enzymes to reactive metabolites (13- hydroxyellipticine and 12-hydroxyellipticine) forming DNA adducts. The results indicate that both...

Chirální separace biologicky aktivních látek v chromatografii / Chiral separation of biologically active compounds by chromatographyLandl, David January 2020 (has links)
- 4 - Abstract in English This diploma thesis is focused on the evaluation and comparison of the enantioselective potential of two columns CHIRAL ART Amylose-SA and CDShell-RSP using a set of 29 chiral drugs in high performance liquid chromatography. The separations of enantiomers were performed in three modes: reversed-phase, normal-phase, and polar- organic mode. The CHIRAL ART Amylose-SA column was tested in normal-phase mode, the CDShell-RSP column in reversed-phase and polar-organic modes. The CHIRAL ART Amylose-SA column contains amylose tris(3,5- dimethylphenylcarbamate) immobilized on 3 µm porous silica gel particles. The CDShell-RSP column contains a chiral selector hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin, which is covalently bonded on 2.7 µm superficially porous particles. In the normal-phase mode, mobile phases composed of hexane and propane-2-ol were used. Furthermore, the effect of various additives (triethylamine, diethylamine, trifluoroacetic acid, and the mixture of diethylamine and trifluoroacetic acid) in the mobile phase on the enantioseparation of chiral drugs was tested. The most universal additive was a mixture of diethylamine and trifluoroacetic acid. A total of 22 chiral drugs were enantioseparated on the CHIRAL ART Amylose-SA column, 10 of them were baseline separated. Mobile phases for...
