By the way, it was discussed if there will be peculiarities in the interventions with these patients, in terms of clinical method and/or the professional formative/active. To achieve it, the method was based on the articulation between the clinical material of an adult patient attended to the authoress and testimonials written by speech therapists. Joined to it, there was a bibliographic revision, wich were about the clinical method of the speech therapy and psychoanalytic method, once the Psychoanalysis has a tradition in the techinic differentiation between the treatment of adults and children. The subject s psychoanalytic conception also supported theoretically the analysis of the contents that were being revealed through the relation between the clinical material and the professional s testimonials. The results appointed to peculiars aspects in the speech therapy treatment with adult patients; some of them related with the characterization of the clinical method of the speech therapy, others that articulate with the professional formative and, finally, those that include both aspects. Knowing this, when the Psychoanalysis is selected like theoretical reference, two points have to be considered: psychoanalytic clinical method and the subject s psychoanalytic conception. According to the results, it could be concluded that the dynamic of the transference, peculiar to each therapeutic pair and the clinical method adoptted, dependent of the subject s conception assumed, become arguments to justify the peculiarities are present in each case, independently of patient s age. Thus, it has been suggested that the speech therapy work with adult patients isn t a speciality, but it has some tendencies presents in the clinical practice. / O objetivo dessa pesquisa foi promover uma reflexão sobre o trabalho fonoaudiológico com pacientes adultos. Nesse sentido, visou-se discutir se haveriam peculiaridades nas intervenções com tais pacientes, em termos do método clínico e/ou da formação/atuação profissional. Para tal, o método baseou-se na articulação entre o material clínico de um paciente adulto atendido pela autora e depoimentos escritos por fonoaudiólogos. Juntamente a isso, houve uma revisão bibliográfica, que tematizou o método clínico terapêutico fonoaudiológico e o método psicanalítico, uma vez que a Psicanálise possui tradição quanto à diferenciação técnica entre o atendimento de sujeitos adultos e crianças. Também a concepção psicanalítica de sujeito respaldou teoricamente a análise dos conteúdos que foram sendo revelados por meio da relação entre o material clínico e os depoimentos dos profissionais. Os resultados apontaram para aspectos peculiares no atendimento fonoaudiológico de pacientes adultos; dentre eles, alguns relacionados à caracterização do método clínico fonoaudiológico , outros que se articulam com a formação do profissional e, por fim, aqueles que contemplam ambos os aspectos . A partir disso, ao se optar pela Psicanálise como respaldo teórico, dois pontos destacaram-se: o método clínico psicanalítico e a concepção psicanalítica de sujeito. De acordo com os resultados, pôde-se concluir que a dinâmica transferencial, peculiar a cada par terapêutico e o método clínico adotado, dependente da concepção de sujeito assumida, tornam-se argumentos para justificar que as peculiaridades estão presentes em cada caso, independentemente da faixa etária do paciente. Assim, sugere-se que o trabalho fonoaudiológico com pacientes adultos não é uma especialidade, mas circunscreve algumas tendências presentes no exercício da clínica.
