The aim of this thesis is to assess the level of financial management, joint-stock company Autic and formulation of proposals to improve the financial situation in problem areas. During its processing particularly the methods of financial analysis have found application. Data of the firm over the period of 2006 – 2008 are used for the financial analysis.

Evaluation of the Financial Situation in the Construction Company shows and uses methods and tools leading to examination of financial situation, stability, liquidity and profitability of this company. Essence of financial analysis is evaluation of present-state and past development on the base of financial statement analysis. Regarding to market expectations can the results of financial statement analysis help to forecast future deve-lopment of the business. Important part of financial analysis is also commentary and draft of measures leasing to steady and effective business functioning.

The objective of this dissertation is to do the analysis of the specific enterprise with the help of the theoretical knowledge and to formulate the recommendations based on the acquired knowledge from the external and internal company’s environment to encourage further development of this enterprise. The integral part of this dissertation is the application of sub instruments of the strategic analysis, concretely the SWOT analysis, SLEPTE analysis, and financial analysis. After findnig main problems, solutions will be recommended.

The content of this master‘s thesis is cash flow management of a construction project in case of minimum price "Intensification sewage Sokolov - Phase I". Two alternatives of cash flow management of a construction project are compared, which differ in the contractual terms between the construction company and the contractor subcontracting. In the first alternative the business requires payment of the invoices within 90 days and the assurance with a bank guarantee by subcontractors. In the second variant subcontractor has provided the company the possibility of using a 9% discount with payments within 30 days and provide guarantee restraints. The expected present value of cash flow is used to evaluate the most suitable alternative. The result of my master‘s thesis is to identify potential risks and opportunities to ensure the liquidity of the contract.

The Master’s thesis focuses on the evaluation of financial situation in selected company during the years 2011 – 2015. The first part of the thesis contains theoretical framework which is subsequently applied in evaluating the financial health of the company using suitable methods of the strategic and financial analysis. The next part consists of proposals to company’s improvement based on the overall assessment of the financial situation of the company.

Master’s thesis deals with the consolidation of financial statements and analysis of financial condition of group subjected to consolidated financial statements. Fundamental thesis goal is an assesment of financial position selected group of companies by methods of financial analysis and specialized models. It leads to finding potential weaknesses and creation of proposals leading to eliminate discovered weaknesses and improving the financial situation of group.

This diploma thesis mainly focuses on the assessment/evaluation of external and internal surroundings/environment of a specific company between years 2012 and 2016. The first part of these defines theoretical constructs that are then applied in the practical part of the thesis. The external environment was analyzed using PESTLE analysis method and the Porter's Five Forces model. The financial analysis from 2012-2016 was used for the analysis of the internal surroundings. Based on the overall assessment/evaluation of the company surroundings/environment the author applies SWOT analysis and proposes several steps for the improvement.
