Different from a so-called semi-prewavelet approach, we investigate the orthogonal conditions directly and obtain parameterized prewavelets with a smaller support. A corresponding theorem is given to ensure the linear independence of a set of different pre-wavelets obtained by summing pairs of these semi-prewavelets.
