Sammanfattning Studien syfte är att undersöka hur en elev som har haft stödinsatser från socialtjänsten har upplevt sin skolgång. Utifrån mitt syfte har jag utgått från frågeställningarna: Hur beskriver informanten de omständigheter/faktorer som har påverkat hennes självbild/lärandeidentitet i skolåldern? Vilken bild av skolan som en plats för lärande/social arena träder fram i elevens berättelse och vad blir dess eventuella betydelse för utformningen av en pedagogisk praktik? Studiens teoretiska ansats är socialkonstruktionism och stämplingsteori. Genom den teoretiska ansatsen har jag kunnat undersöka hur en människa formar sin identitet och självbild i förhållande till samhället och i relationer med andra människor. Som metod användes livshistorieintervjun eftersom jag ville ta del av vad en elev har för någon förståelse av sig själv och den sociala värld den lever i. Elevens berättande har varit i fokus, men berättelsen kan också ses som samproducerad eftersom den har växt fram i dialog mellan mig som intervjuare och min informant. Mitt resultat visar att relationer med lärare, andra vuxna i skolan och klasskamrater spelar stor roll för hur en elev i samhällsvård formar sin identitet och sin bild av sig själv både i sociala situationer och i den pedagogiska praktiken. Beroende på hur de andra i skolan bemötte och förhöll sig till min informant skapade hon en identitet och såg på sig själv som en blyg och tillbakadragen flicka. Resultatet visar också att självbilden går att förändra genom positiva förebilder och goda relationer. Dessa resultat stämmer väl överens om vad den tidigare forskningen har kommit fram till gällande den här målgruppen. Den tidigare forskningen visar däremot inte att flickor i den här målgruppen kan skapa en identitet som gör dem osynliga.   Nyckelord Socialtjänst, samhällsvård, skolerfarenheter, socialkonstruktionism, stämplingsteori, livshistorieintervju, självbild, identitet, relationer / Abstract This study aims to investigate how a student who has had the support of social services experiences her time in school. In order to meet the aim of my study I have formulated the following questions: How does the informant describe the circumstances/factors that have affected her self-image/learner identity at school age? What image of the school as a place of learning / social arena emerges from the student's story and what is its possible importance on the design of an educational practice? The theoretical approaches used in this study are social constructionism and labeling theory. They have enabled me to examine how a person shapes their identity and self-image in relation to society and in relationships with other people. Life history interview was used as the method in the study because I was interested in how a student understands herself and the social world she lives in. The student's narrative has been the focus of the study, but the story can also be seen as co-produced because it evolved in dialogue between me as an interviewer and my informant. My results show that relationships with teachers, other adults, and classmates in school play a major role in how a student in social care shapes her identity and self-image both in social situations and in educational practice. Depending on how others in the school responded and reacted to my informant, she created an identity and saw herself as a shy and reserved girl. The results also show that the self-image can be changed by positive role models and good relationships. These results agree with conclusions from previous research on this target group. However, unlike previous studies, my study finds that girls in this target group can create an identity that renders them invisible.   Keywords Social service, social care, school experience, social constructionism, labeling theory, life history interview, self-image, identity, relationships
