The thesis is focused on the options of stream restoration with its surroundings in a place of nature area „Na Loukách“ in town district „Mokrá Hora“. The thesis also describes current condition and development of the land use of focused area. There is junction of three creeks in the focused area. In part of this area there is not original depth of ground water surface due to adjustment of Rakovec creek. This thesis introduces three options of increasing depth of ground water surface. Evaluation of the current condition of creeks was performed by the HEM method. Hydraulic calculations were made in HEC-RAS program.

The main idea of the project is the ambition to create an ageless school design, which is able to react flexibly to the constantly evolving educational system and changing space requirements. Philosophy is based on the principle of "open school". School as an important public building has a great potential to act as a catalyst within the neighbourhood. On one hand, it is open to the public by the means of shared facilities (library, gymnasium, multipurpose hall, art classrooms, language labs…). But on the other hand, openness is also important within the school itself. School can be understood as a small community. And because every community needs a public space as a platform for common activities, the school may have its own in the form of a central atrium. It acts as a "piazza", where numerous diverse activities are allowed to happen. Proposal for a school organization is based on the ability of social integration, which is gradually formulated throughout the childhood.

The topic of my diploma thesis is a design of a new complex of schools in Ostrava. The place of this project is located close to a historical centre next an exhibition grounds Černá louka. The main idea is a design of single houses which are created to a closed block with an inner area with large garten. The children from secondary school will during their environment lessons plant various plants and students from the high school will get to know in their biology lessons these plants. The complex is divided by functions to five different houses: kindergarten, primary school with secondary shool, grammer school, kitchen with school canteen and sport complex.

This thesis deals with the definitions of rural development, rural areas, brownfields, greenfields. In the practical part compares two real locations in South County. Greenfield site is located in the village in the district Vidov Czech Budejovice and borwnfield site is located in the village in the district Želeč Tabor. Both locations are assessed according to the model of South Bohemia, which is based on studies němcekého Ministry of Environment. This model consists zetří criteria - potential sites in terms of community benefit in terms of potential investor and the change in the value space - public interest in the regeneration of brownfield sites. These three criteria are still my sub, under which then determines the significance of the site. Then, by calculating the preference index (PI) to determine which location is more suitable for implementation.

Meadows, as an integral part of the Giant Mountains, depend on regular management, without it they can get degraded. The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the impact of different types of management (mulching, mowing with or without fertilization) on change in coverage, biomass and establishment of plants. The experiment took place in years 1997-2011 on the site called Sněžné Domky in Giant Mountains on 3 sites which differ in humidity and trophy. The effect of management on vegetation change was statistically conclusive. Mulching was preffered the most by Geranium sylvaticum, mulching and fertilization was preffered especially by these species: Holcus mollis, Alopecurus pratensis and Crepis conyzifolia. Mulching and no fertilization: Achillea millefolium. Avenella flexuosa preferred particularly mowing. Mowing and fertilization was preffered by Festuca rubra, Luzula luzuloides, Anthoxanthum odoratum, Agrostis capillaris, Veronica officinalis and Hieracium lachenalii. Mowing without fertilizazion was preffered by Potentilla erecta. The effect of management on the amount of biomass appeared statistically inconclusive (except for amount of old biomass). Assigment of the Diplom Project was to design complex of school buildings in the Ostrava city, on Black Maddow. Design should be based on the winning project from Maxwan architectural studio. They won the urbanistic competition in this area. I decides to devide funktions to the 3 different buildings – Kindergarten, Primary school and Lyceé in a one builging and the multifunktional sport hall. Kindergarten ist placed in the park, on the riverbank. Primary school and Lyceé are connected in one building, which is situated in the ring of buildings arround the Black Maddow. Parter under the building is public and building is situated on the most frekvent place, where the footpath are crossing. Near the school building is designed a sport hall, which is not just for school use but also for public.

Three seasons of initial succession were followed in the frame of this thesis after a restoration project in a section of the Stropnice River and its floodplain. The succession tends towards formation of community of alluvial meadows, which is prevailing biotope in the neighborhood of the restored part. Strong factor influencing the course of succession is wetness of the substrate, which is partially given by distance of a site from the water-course and by the difference in the altitude of a site and of the river water table. Synantrophic species were most abundant in the first year (2014), followed by meadow and wetland species (2015, 2016).

The diploma project proposes The Children´s Sanatorium with Speleotherapy Ostrov u Macochy which is to take place in the Císařská Cave. Site is located close to the mentioned cave in an exposed natural environment adjacent by urban housing which is represented by dispersed detached houses. An ambition of project is connecting an existing down-entrance to Císařská Cave with design new up-entrance, building of speleotherapy and existing development. There is created a new interconnection which respects and supports a local morphology. The building is situated on the end of connector in direct continuity with existing roads and development which suitably complements because of architecture form based on an archetyp of traditional cottage. The complex offers services for rehabilitation, sanatorium, accommodation and sports for childrens clients and general public too. A project intention was an effort to maximize incorporation the volume to feature of town, townscape with gabled roofs and natural surroundings with preservation high users comfort.
