This thesis deals with optimization of production of "Hold-down hinge hook" component, developed from difficult-to-cut titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V. This work is focused on the material properties of the component, current research and optimization in titanium machinability sphere. Further it contains a part dedicated to the latest trends in development of cutting tools for machining of titanium alloys. This knowledge is furthermore used for the component production optimization in Frencken Brno s.r.o. company. This project continues with analysis of the component‘s current production technology and designs the way of elimination of production bottleneck. This change is presented by component‘s clamp jig, which decreases higher percentage of scrap due to the geometric complexity. This thesis further contains drawing and technological documentation needed for implementation of the improvement suggestions into the production. There was designed a new NC program. This project is accomplished with technical-economical evaluation.

This Master’s thesis process list of different finite element programs, which allows us to simulate process of material separation. We estimated their advantages and disadvantages in the end. In program ANSYS Ls-Dyna was created 3D model, in which we simulate process of orthogonal splinter machining and we study dependence of changes different input parameters (tool geometry, depth of cut, cutting speed) on the chip form and forces rate between tool and workpiece.

The master thesis deals with design for casting mould of an impeller wheel for investment casting lost wax and machining technology with utilization CAD software SolidWorks 2008 and CAM software PowerMill 9. Subsequent verification of machining on vertical machining center MCV 1210. At the end, techno-economic evaluation is done.

Diploma thesis is specialized to solving of problems machining of diffi-cult machinable materials. There is carried out the analysis of difficult machinable materials in term of chemical composition, physical and mechanical properties. In the following it deals with analysis of machining, specification of geometry, material of cutting tools and cutting conditions.

Diploma thesis deals with change of component part production technology. It replaces conventional production technology with CNC machining using CAD/CAM application.

This study states basic technological aspects of metal machining with cutting inserts, with special stress on coated carbide cutting inserts. Among others, it states wear-out theory incl. wear-out accompaniments, problems of chip-forming and other factors of metal machining. At the end of the study, it contents a description of the latest cutting materials and construction elements of cutting inserts from reputable producers and, for some of them, also the course and the results of practical tests and comparison.

This master thesis deals with the filtration of air contaminated with oil and the total efficiency and propose a new filtration system. The reason is insufficient capacity and functionality of the operating device is incorrect. It will propose the most appropriate solution to this in terms of economic and technical design is satisfactory.

This thesis focuses on the rationalization of the production process of plungers and elements of injection pumps in relation to improving the quality of the final products. Today’s technology, which mainly uses single-purpose machines where the production quality markedly depends on the abilities and activities of the operator, will replaced by modern machining centres and CNC machines for grinding all functional parts of the plungers, coupled with modern measuring devices. These production machines with the support of measuring devices will improve the productivity of production and the general quality of the produced components.

The purpose of this dissertation is to familiarize the reader with basic recognition of machine measuring probes for tools and workpieces. Namely then in area of measurement on CNC machining centers. Both recognition from aspects of principle of function of sensing elements and type of transmition to control system, and recognition from constructional aspects are described here. Further it puts mind on equipment of machine probes (touches etc.) and rules for best selection of this equipment. Next part of this work describes selection of appropriate probes, for universal machines from production of firm TOS Kuřim. Last part deals with testing of designed measuring system for concrete machine from production of firm TOS Kuřim. His typical composition, evaluation of tests results and achieved accuracy is also described here.

This Diploma thesis deals with design technology of alternator claw pole. The technology is designed to achieve low production costs. The purpose is to prevent the transfer of manufacturing contract to countries with cheap manpower and low production costs. Technology design is done by selecting billets to the processing and economic evaluation. The dominant technology is a cutting operation that is performed on numerically controlled machines.
