Factors contributing to divorce among young couples at Lebowakgomo, Capricorn District- Limpopo ProvinceMohlatlole, Nkuke Evans January 2017 (has links)
Thesis (M.A. (Social work)) -- University of Limpopo, 2017. / The overall aim of this study is to explore factors that contribute towards divorce
among young couples in the Lebowakgomo area of Limpopo Province. The
objectives of this study were to identify factors contributing towards divorce among
young couples in Lebowakgomo, and to establish whether the causes of divorce
among young couples in Lebowakgomo are the same as those identified in the
literature. The research used the qualitative method in the study and the exploratory
research design to investigate the factors contributing to divorce among young
couples at Lebowakgomo Township. The target group was divorced young adults up
to the age of 35 years who had been married for the period of not more than ten
years. The researcher used snowball sampling because he knew someone who met
the criteria for inclusion in this study.
The sample size was based on the principle of saturation which suggests that data
collection stops when there is no new theme emerging. The researcher reached a
point of saturation at participant six. The researcher used the semi-structured
interview to collect data. This allowed the researcher to elicit information about the
respondents’ thoughts, feelings and perceptions as open-ended questions were
used. The researcher used Interpretative Phenomenological Data Analysis (IPA)
which allowed the researcher to explore in detail how the participants made sense of
their personal and social world. This study found that sudden character change, lack
of and poor communication, financial problems, abuse and infidelity are associated
with divorce among young couples. It also emerged in the study that mastering all
the stages of family life cycle can reduce the chances of divorce among young
couples. This can be achieved by ensuring that young couples receive pre-marital
counselling before they enter into marriage. In addition, after entering into marriage
young couples should attend marital enrichment programmes.

Previous issue date: 2018-05-03 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / Fundação São Paulo - FUNDASP / Marriage is known as a symbolic ritual and a psychological necessity that has existed
for thousands of years and has been accompanying the development of humanity since then.
The Catholic understanding regarding marriage marked the Western culture, and even though
it was extremely demanding, it was for many centuries the only one considered socially
acceptable. With the advent of postmodern society, where effective bonds have become more
fragile, the Catholic proposal of indissoluble marriage presents itself as an exception, in
addition of being less understood and accepted. At the same time, cases of marital separation
are multiplied, followed by new relationships. The impact of divorce is felt in a peculiar way
by the Catholic Church because of its historically stricter stance in the understanding of
marriage. Divorces and new relationships place the Catholic faithful in an irregular position
within the institution with a consequent feeling of exclusion and marginalization. The
problem has been faced by the Catholic Church with the development of a peculiar practice
that seeks to analyze the validity of marriages celebrated by its faithful and the possible
declaration of Nullity: those are the Canonical Marriage processes carried out in the
Ecclesiastical Courts. The objective of this research was to verify how the Catholic Church
has responded to the reality of the numerous marriages that failed and to address the main
psychological and religious questions manifested by the individuals involved in the processes
of declaration of Nullity of Marriage. The methodological approach used started from a
descriptive research in the records of the cases of Marriage Annulment carried by the
Interdiocesan Marriage Tribunal of Aparecida (TEIA) where I work as an expert psychologist.
Thirty five cases were selected from the city of São José dos Campos – SP. It was chosen
cases entered the Court in 2014, and marriage duration up to five years. We work with the
hypothesis that those cases, by their own dynamics, also have a therapeutic character, because
it inevitably puts the person in contact with his/her history. Those processes are therefore an
excellent opportunity that can favor self-knowledge. We also verified the most frequent
psychological causes of failure of marriages among the cases / O matrimônio entendido como ritual simbólico e necessidade psicológica existe há
A compreensão
frente a compreensão do matrimônio.

The art of start: an understanding of the dynamics of remarried familiesJuliana Monteiro Costa 01 March 2008 (has links)
The present study had the purpose to investigate how one of the members of the remarried couple, for at least two years, leaves this experience.
Summary: The purpose of this thesis is to study the dissolution of a marriage tie between North African states and European French speaking states, and what this dissolution means in term of confrontation on both sides concerning the juridic systems european and islamic. The difficulties of coordination between the islamic way of life and the international law are the result of divergence relating with personal status and family right. In the islamic law, personal status and religious faith are closely interlinked. Moroccan nationals who step up house in an european country are confronted with the law of the Maghreb and the law of the country witch welcomes them.

Mixed marriages and in particularly in a case of repudiations are a sphere where european nations and some muslim nations don’t see things in the same way. One has to emphasize that these problems have been enduring for over tweenty years. A great numbers of Morocans lives in Belgium which leads to difficulties if their marriages have to be dissolved. Over these difficulties problems of laws conflicts are added. This study have tried to show the characteristics of these systems and the different way to solve the consequences of the divorce or of the repudiation. The presence of an immigrated community of personal muslim status and the encounter of the juridic european system with this phenomenon set the acute issue of the harmonization of two juridics systems deeply different. This can be described as a “conflict of civilisations”. This allows a broad view of the subject

/ Doctorat en droit / info:eu-repo/semantics/nonPublished
