Vybrané role fotografie v matematice ve 2. ročníku 1. stupně ZŠ / Choosen roles of photography in school mathematics at second grade of Primary school

Urbánková, Šárka January 2019 (has links)
This thesis is pursued to the possibilities of using photography in teaching of mathematics. I have gathered enough information for condition of use photography. In the next step I followed the objectives: to analyze selected mathematics textbooks in terms of using photography according its six roles; documenting the influence of photography in exercises on their answer; creating a task with photographs that would complement the gaps in their use in didactic materials. Analysis has shown that most often use photos in textbooks is in a motivational role, that does not carry relevant information to solve a excercise. The effectiveness of using a photo is verified on several excercises, which showed a higher abundance of right answers and pointed out the need to look for the right format, motive and quality of the photograph. This excercises also confirmed grasping a decimal system by pupils through a money model. The next part of the thesis is devoted to the creation of excercises with photography in various roles, which are less common in educational materials than the motivational role. Excercises include many different activities from manipulative to creative. Activities with phootgraphs is possible to use in different teaching organizations and can be used in teaching very quickly and easily. An...

Vliv kulturních kontextů na řešení slovních úloh / Influence of cultural contexts on word problems solutions

Spurová, Markéta January 2020 (has links)
The aim of this work is to determine the extent to which the cultural context of a word problem influences its solution by pupils of the 9th grade of secondary schools. Two research questions were set. The first: Will the different cultural context affect the solution of the word problem? How? The second: What do pupils think about word problems with different cultural contexts? The thesis consists of two parts: the theoretical and the practical. In the theoretical part, the general concepts such as culture and the word problem are addressed, followed by a discussion of the cultural context of word problems and their analysis in chosen textbooks. Furthermore, a significant part is devoted to ethnomathematics and multiculturalism in Czech schools. Finally, the difference between the word problem with a typical Czech context and the word problem with a different cultural context is established based on the results of textbooks analysis and the pre-research. The research, which is described in the practical part was conducted qualitatively, and the data were obtained from written tests and semi-structured interviews. The results have shown that the different cultural context of a word problem affects the time needed to solve the problem. In addition, the choice of the type of solution and the type of...

Vyučování matematice orientované na budování schémat v outdoorovém prostředí / Teaching mathematics - schema oriented education in outdoor environment

Mladá, Lada January 2016 (has links)
This thesis deals with teaching mathematics - schema oriented education in outdoor environment. It seeks advantages of outdoor education and tries to apply them fully in an innovative way of teaching mathematics for primary schools. It connects the innovative methods of teaching mathematics with our nature, in a peaceful and natural way. Nature is not just an expanded space for learning but it is the means of achieving more effective learning. The thesis informs the reader about the history of outdoor education and it enables deeper understanding of nature's potential and its role in education. It takes advantage of Czech and foreign resources on the matter. The thesis wants to enlighten mathematics students and teachers about the positives of outdoor education by providing a collection of ideas, including their real-life realization and their self- reflection, in the form of prepared mathematics outdoor education material. Badatelsky orientovaná výuka matematiky na 1. stupni ZŠ / Inquiry-based mathematics education on primary school level

LÖFFELMANNOVÁ, Zuzana January 2019 (has links)
This diploma thesis is focused on incorporating inquiry based mathematics education in lower primary school. The term inquiry based education has been defined and specific signs of this education in mathematics have been found. Some tasks leading to inquiry have been identified with the help of textbooks of Fraus publishing. These tasks have been used to create lesson plans for this kind of education. Chosen lesson plans have been applied in practice and the decision about their usability has been made. Results of these lessons have been described in the evaluation. Stated findings lay the ground for primary teachers to involve inquiry based mathematics education in their lessons.

Vnímaná akademická účinnost žáků středních škol / Academic self-efficacy of high school students

Draberová, Jana January 2018 (has links)
Title: Academic self-efficacy of high school students Author: Mgr. et Mgr. Jana Draberová Supervisor: Doc. PhDr. Ilona Gillernová, CSc. Department: Department of Psychology Abstract: This dissertation thesis deals with the concept of academic self-efficacy. The aim of this study was to develop a research tool for assessing high school students` academic self-efficacy, which is not yet available in the Czech environment. The theoretical part is based on a more general level of self-efficacy and further focuses on the specific characteristics of academic self- efficacy and ways of measuring it. The empirical part deals with the development of the questionnaire, with verification of its psychometric characteristics and finding out the relationship with other variables. The research sample consists of 1717 high school students from all regions of the Czech Republic. The research included secondary vocational schools and grammar schools. Students filled in the questionnaire for Czech language and for mathematics. The final research tool is highly reliable and also its validity has been verified. Furthermore, the statistically significant relationship between measured academic self-efficacy and other variables such as school grade, the type of school, gender, specific learning and behavioral disorders or the...

Vybrané partie učiva z matematiky v pracovních listech / Selected parts of the mathematics curriculum in the worksheets

GUBÁNI, Barbora January 2019 (has links)
The thesis deals with the issues that are tied with reading and mathematical literacy. The literacy is being considered by solved exrcises at the second grade of elementary school. The purpose of this work is to bring nearer the connectedness between reading literacy and other subjects - in this case mainly math. The work is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the theory, in which there is outline of the description of reading and mathematical literacy, verbal exercises and what is the function of working sheets. The second part is practical. There are put created working sheets with chosen topics from math, which were given to the pupils at the elementary school. The cooperation with pupils wihtin filling the working sheets can be also found in this thesis. The analysis of this literacy and processes of solving are attached in the end.

Výuka matematiky za podpory outdoorových prvků / Teaching mathematics with the support of outdoor elements

Smetanová, Eliška January 2018 (has links)
The thesis deals with outdoor teaching of mathematics at primary school level. It develops the current interest in outdoor teaching using current innovative learning methods. Its focus is to serve as an inspirational resource for teaching mathematics in the area where a pupil grows up and, on the contrary, to learn about his surroundings through teaching mathematics. It relies partly on teaching via schema-oriented education, but seeks to demonstrate the benefits of outdoor teaching regardless of the style of teaching. It describes and analyzes the specific features, benefits and challenges associated with outdoor learning. The work uses Czech and foreign sources to familiarize the reader with the basic phenomena that arise in connection with the learning process. Their role is pointed out on specific outdoor activities. Detailed analyzes of these activities work in the broader sense as examples of how to lead pupils to enjoy understanding mathematical laws in a non-school environment.

HELLEROVÁ, Šárka January 2016 (has links)
The thesis deals with teaching Mathematics through folding paper using the origami, sliceforms and paperfolding methods. Selected geometric figures and their characteristics are listed in the thesis. These geometrical figures are approximated to pictures created in a mathematical software GeoGebra. Selected figures are enriched with instructions and methods of creating the given figure out of paper. The thesis includes educational tasks. The teacher and the pupils follow the task step by step. The pupils revise the schoolwork and build up a system of basic geometrical terms while folding paper. The pupils apply gained skills and acquired terms in handouts.
