Comunicação, cognição e acaso nas organizações: uma pesquisa sobre os novos modelos empresariais da economia digitalizada

The technological communication is object of analytic and conceptual dissection, being presupposed that it is a factor strategic differential. With base in that procedure, we will answer the following inquiries: (1) is the communication in the contemporary managerial organizations always originating from of the production of cognitive capital, or can it maybe happen for mere success of the? (2) Which the changes and perceptible evolutions in the managerial communication of the new models of organizations? The work hypotheses are the following ones: (1) in the current society, the positive effects of the maybe superficial the urgency of the planning of the communication integrated organizational, motivating your segmentation; and (2) the value that the organizational communication can join to the company is affected by mediation processes, unaccompanied of the necessary cognitive back-up. The research will allow contemplating on the process of globalization the work force and the use of technologies, as well as, on the access to the horizon of social development of the nations. To that new moment report, several denominations were attributed: web economy, new economy, economy of the age of the access, digital economy, economy of the information, ford s powder, cyber cultural etc. The cyber cultural a phenomenon of pluralism of connections of the communication digitals can be considered and of the flows information. In that context, the managerial organizations started to accompany several theoretical models and proposed innovative, such as transnational organizations, in net, under flow of information and organizations as brains or virtual. In the developed research, the conclusions point that the cult to the speed in the capital production, goods or services in the powder-modern society, relegates the cognitive process of the communication to a secondary apprenticeship of concern of the managerial planning. The communication managerial organizational is understood as maintenance strategy and existence of the company, if not placing among the pré-certain activities. A lot of times gets confused with the own organization and the new managerial models of the age of the internet denote that the success doesn't need to be the fruit of long time of planning, but it can be consequence of situations that converged for the positive results or still, in other occasions they can maybe be works of the. The clarification of the concepts in construction will take to the encounter of the mechanisms and means to transpose the fine line that it separates the cognitive planning is processes, of those originating from of variables not waited. The vital subject for the organizations is to survive to the instability. In contemporary reality, it is necessary to accept the constant changes. The human creativity is the quality principal on those new times. The communication process not is one more isolated act and addressed, but it suffers interferences of the mediation processes. Elements did not control they make part of that universe and the cognition in the companies, many times, of place to the immediately and the superficiality of actions. It is necessary to accept that some phenomenal that happen are unexpected results. The reflection is obligatory task, with intention of understanding those events. However, it is careful to be that the maybe part of a complex process, difficultly explained for just a knowledge area / A presente Tese de Doutorado constitui investigação teórica multidisciplinar sobre as mudanças e evoluções ocorridas na comunicação midiatizada das organizações empresariais, na economia digitalizada. A comunicação tecnológica é objeto de dissecação analítica e conceitual, pressupondo-se ser fator de diferencial estratégico. Com base nesse procedimento, responderemos as seguintes indagações: (1) a comunicação nas organizações empresariais contemporâneas é sempre oriunda da produção de capital cognitivo ou pode ocorrer por mero sucesso do acaso?; e (2) quais as mudanças e evoluções perceptíveis na comunicação empresarial dos novos modelos de organizações? As hipóteses de trabalho são as seguintes: (1) na sociedade atual, os efeitos positivos do acaso superficializam a premência do planejamento da comunicação organizacional integrada, incentivando sua segmentação; e (2) o valor que a comunicação organizacional pode agregar à empresa é afetado por processos de midiatização, desacompanhados do necessário respaldo cognitivo. A pesquisa permitirá refletir sobre o processo de globalização da força de trabalho e o uso de tecnologias, bem como sobre o acesso ao horizonte de desenvolvimento social das nações. A esse novo momento histórico foram atribuídas várias denominações: webeconomia, new economy, economia da era do acesso, economia digital, economia da informação, pós-fordismo, cibercultura etc. A cibercultura pode ser considerada um fenômeno de pluralização de conexões da comunicação digitalizada e dos fluxos informacionais. Nesse contexto, as organizações empresariais passaram a acompanhar vários modelos teóricos e propostas inovadoras, tais como: organizações transnacionais, em rede, sob fluxo de informação e organizações como cérebros ou virtuais. Na pesquisa desenvolvida, as conclusões apontam que o culto à velocidade na produção de capital, bens ou serviços na sociedade pós-moderna relega o processo cognitivo da comunicação a um estágio secundário de preocupação do planejamento empresarial. A comunicação organizacional empresarial é entendida como estratégia de manutenção e existência da empresa, não se colocando entre as atividades prédeterminadas. Muitas vezes se confunde com a própria organização; e os novos modelos empresariais da era da internet denotam que o sucesso não precisa ser o fruto de longo tempo de planejamento, mas uma decorrência de situações que confluíram para os resultados positivos ou, ainda, em outras ocasiões podem ser obras do acaso. A clarificação dos conceitos em construção levará a encontro dos mecanismos e meios para transpor a fina linha tênue que separa os processos cognitivos de planejamentos daqueles oriundos de variáveis não esperadas. A questão vital para as organizações é sobreviver à instabilidade. Na realidade contemporânea, é preciso aceitar as mudanças constantes. A criatividade humana é a qualidade fundamental nesses novos tempos. O processo comunicacional não é mais um ato isolado e direcionado, mas sofre interferências dos processos de midiatização. Elementos não controláveis fazem parte desse universo e a cognição nas empresas, muitas vezes, dá lugar ao imediatismo e à superficialidade de ações. É preciso aceitar que alguns fenômenos são realmente resultados imprevistos. A reflexão é tarefa obrigatória, com intuito de entender esses eventos. Todavia, é prudente assumir que o acaso faz parte de um processo complexo, dificilmente explicado por apenas uma área de conhecimento

To know the self as a matrix of maybe : An account of the specialness of self-knowledge

The essay is an attempt to make sense of the apparently special relation between self-knowledge and agency. To achieve that goal, the essay translates the account of what it is like to be a human self offered by Sartre into the language of evolutionary psychology. In L’être et le néant, Sartre describes the phenomenology of the self as a series of inescapable choices in a contingent set of circumstances. This essay identifies Sartre’s description with what Baumeister, Maranges and Sjåstad call a matrix of maybe: the mechanism of nonfactual pragmatic prospection found in humans. Consequently, it defines the self as a matrix of maybe operating within a contingency matrix and reflecting on its own operation. Self-knowledge, the essay concludes, seems special because we routinely and erroneously ascribe to the self features of its contingency matrix. Most of our true first-person claims should not be read as I PREDICATE. Instead, they can be explicated as I have to act in a world where C PREDICATE, where C is the relevant part of the contingency matrix.

The lecture was presented on November 18, 1991. This presentation focused on the only two compositions for solo flute and orchestra by Ernest Bloch. Written during the last three years of the composer's life, the pieces are representative of his last style period. While Suite Modale is neobaroque in style, Two Last Poems is much more subjective. Together they represent a synthesis of many of the stylistic characteristics of Ernest Bloch. The musical parameters discussed included form, melody, texture, rhythm, harmony, and expressive devices.
