5 β- Pregnane- 3- 20- Diol Excretion in Urine of University Women During the Menstrual Period

Liao, Rita Shin-hui 01 May 1968 (has links)
Five normal healthy young university women while on self-chosen diets and living under normal conditions served as experimental subjects in this study. Urinary pregnanediol was measured for 10 days of the menstrual cycle. Meal frequency ( 3 meals vs. 2 meals with no breakfast) was also included in the study. A modification of the method of Eberlein and Bongiovanni on thin layer chromatography was used to determine pregnanediol in the urine sample. Urine pregnanediol excretion was in the pattern as investigated by other workers. The values rose in the latter half of the menstrual cycle, and fell prior to the onset of the next period. No relationship was found between pregnanediol level and meal frequency. A larger number of subjects are recommended in the further work of this problem.

Quispe Meca, Edgar, Romero Valdez, Daniela, Salazar Palomino, Leslie Sabrina, Temoche Devoto, Ruth Denisse, Vasquez Solis Duran, Luis Alfredo 21 July 2020 (has links)
"According to Eumoritor, by 2019 the size of hot drinks in Peru is valued around 134.8 million dollars. Throughout the market of hot drinks, it exists the infusion market, which lacks of variety, due to according quantitative investigation, there exist brands with a repetitive product line which is a unusual factor because Peru is one of the few countries that has a variety of diverse herbals and from which both companies and customers could benefit. Introduced this context, the business model called “Khura Life Mujer” is created, which will commercialize natural infusions composed of medicinal plants such as: pampa oregano, muña, culén; which are exotic, beneficial and alleviate discomforts caused by the menstrual cycle. This project is created with the intention of relief the ailments produced by the menstrual period of women. The value proposition is developed in order to offer the female public a different, healthy and pleasant alternative when it comes to relieving these discomforts. Furthermore, one of our goals is to reduce the excessive use of analgesic drugs, since its massive consumption entails negative effects on health, such as hemorrages, ulcers, increased allergies and heart problems. This project offers an overview of the challenges of entering a highly competitive market and shows us how differentiating ourselves from the competition provide us advantages to position ourselves effectively and efficiently in the market. / Trabajo de investigación
