Rodinné strategie sedláků ve vsi Vítkov 1700-1850 / The family strategies of farmers in the village Vítkov 1700-1850

ČERNÝ, Václav January 2015 (has links)
The thesis being hereby presented is concerned with the problematics of family strategies´ aplications in peasants´ families in the village of Vítkov, dated 1700-1850. The work itself is based upon analysis of evidence- and insurance resources, that means mostly registry and cadastral books, urbars and census of subjects. Methodologically, this work proceeds from historical demography and its connection with micro-history and genealogy. Transfers of peasants´s grounds and application of their rights of hertitage become the main subject of research. Secondly, this thesis focuses on peasants life partners choices, families´ maritial strategies and migration. In addition, there are ways of employment drafted for those rural families´ members who had no claim to taking over a paternal ground, thusly achieving to give evidence of how different the family strategies in two contiguous parts of South Bohemia would once have been. The substantial asset of this thesis supposed is to confirm the benefits of joining both historical demography and genealogy whist studying Czech rural areas including possible use of specialised genealogical software.

Podještědská obec Hradčany v příběhu soudobých dějin / Municipality of Hradčany in Podještědí in the story of contemporary history

Havelka, Jan January 2017 (has links)
This master's thesis follows the author's previous bachelor thesis Village Hradčany in Podještědí at Contemporary History 1914 -1948. Using terminology and methods of regional history and microhistory it accents exploring contemporary history of whole commune and municipality Hradčany with all of its historical villages. It will deal comprehensively with cultural-historical and political-historical problems and phenomena of the of the second half of the 20th century, beginning with the communist rise of power in 1948 , continuing by demise of traditional rural economy in the fifties. But it will also mention the extinction of commune Hradčany itself and its connecting to the bigger commune of socialist type in seventies and developement of socialist rural society. Due to comparing the local archive sources with sources from other surrounding settlements the work should produce a synthetical historical source, which could be taken as a general picture of history of settlements in the region. The whole work is based primarily on archive and oral-history research, interviews with the oldest settlers, collection of photographic sources and written documents as memories.

Kristián IV., Mansfeld a vpád do Slezska a na Moravu. Vybrané kapitoly z dějin dánské fáze třicetileté války / Christian IV., Mansfeld and the Invasion of Silesia and Moravia. Several Aspects of the Danish Phase of the Thirty Year's War

Mišaga, Vít January 2014 (has links)
Vít MIŠAGA, Christian IV, Mansfeld and the Invasion of Silesia and Moravia. Several Aspects of the Danish Phase of the Thirty Years' War, PhD dissertation, Charles University in Prague 2014 Summary In Czech and European historiography of the early modern period, the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648) is one of the most discussed topics. Among Czech historians, there has always been an understandable emphasis on the revolt of the Bohemian estates, also known as the Bohemian phase of the war (1618- 1621). The Danish phase (1625-1629) is considerably less popular. The winners had already been or - to be more precise - seemed to be almost determined, and the further developments of the war did nothing to change the fate of the Czech lands. Analysis of the second half of the 1620s is therefore dominated by other topics - the recatholisation process, exile waves or the character of Albrecht von Wallenstein. Foreign historiographers also seem to downplay Denmark's influence. It is as if King Christian's unsuccessful attempt to fight the Emperor was only biding everyone's time until the "Lion of the North", Gustav II Adolf of Sweden, makes his great entrance. Or at least that is the perspective of an "all-knowing" historian who already knows the result. This thesis is trying to bring a different perspective. It is based...

Problematika postavení německého etnika v prvorepublikovém Československu na příkladu nejdeckého okresu / The issue of the German ethnic group status in inter-war Czechoslovakia shown in the Nejdek distric example

Andrš, Pavel January 2017 (has links)
The subject of this dissertation thesis is investigating the issue of the German ethnic group status in inter-war Czechoslovakia shown in the example of the Nejdek political district with the emphasis on the major and crucial aspects of social life - politics, economic and social issues while the assistance and support elements include: demographics, border issues, the presence of the Czech ethnic group, a preview of own (German) history and the development of churches and religion. The Nejdek political district is set within a framework of regional history with regard to the historical context of the development of Czechoslovakia, or even of the world in some cases. The regional history presented here in the form of a probe from the perspective of great historical events and partly through micro-history aim to build on the broad source base and capture the impacts and effects of national policies on shaping of the Nejdek region and its inhabitants. In some ways, when possible of course, research methods are applied. Overall, the work is to fill the so-called white gaps in the regional historiography, since the books or studies published so far have been focusing only on partial, closely regionally defined topics and only comprehensive work, which the author of this paper attempts, could therefore...
