Thesis advisor: Diana Pullin / It is widely accepted that school leadership has both a direct and indirect impact on student achievement. Hitt and Tucker’s (2016) unified leadership framework summarized a decade of work by numerous researchers identifying the five most effective leadership domains that influence student learning. Using that work as a conceptual framework, this qualitative case study analyzed one of the five interdependent leadership domains in an urban elementary school that succeeded in educating traditionally marginalized students and outperformed other schools with similar demographics in the district. Scholars Hitt and Tucker (2016) state that effective leadership practice includes conveying, communicating and implementing a shared vision. This study focused on the mission-driven leadership practices at the district level and the school level that could have influenced the improved academic outcomes for urban students of color. Another focus of this study was achieving equity for marginalized student populations and whether the district designed policies or programs specifically for students of color in order to eliminate achievement gaps. This study found aligned practices and beliefs at both the district and school level. Findings included a shared understanding of goals and daily practices to achieve the goal. There were expectations in place to observe implementation as well as reliable structures to communicate about goals to maintain a focus on priorities. This project also aimed to learn whether these same practices were engaged if there were initiatives in place to attain equitable outcomes when working with specific marginalized populations. This study found consistency throughout the organization of a resistance to focusing on race. This resistance materialized in the form of taking a color-blind approach to instruction. This approach is in direct contrast to practices called for in the literature for meeting the needs of all students, especially students of color. Recommendations include taking courageous steps as a district by engaging transformational and social justice leadership practices to create an organization that is responsive to the needs of students of color. / Thesis (EdD) — Boston College, 2018. / Submitted to: Boston College. Diploma Thesis,The Strategic Performance Measurement of Company, is focused on creation of the vision and Balanced Scorecard management system for GRANITI, s.r.o. organization. In the theoretical part, there are explained basic vocabularies of strategic management as system INFA, methodes focused on external analysis of the organization environment (PEST analysis, Porter`s model of five forces and SWOT analysis) and internal analysis of the organization environment. In the next chapter of theoretical part, there is explained Balanced Scorecard management system.In the practical part of diploma thesis, there is introduced GRANITI, s.r.o. oraganization and its strategic analysis which is linked with creation of vision and Balanced Scorecard strategy including its strategic map.

In Sweden the second highest division in football is named Superettan and if a footballclub participates in that division they are considered by the Swedish footballassociation an elite football club. With that comes financial requirements and newrevenue streams which demands more of the club than if it played in lower divisions.Recent studies have reported a framework in the performance management systemthat organizations can use to produce missions, control and manage resources to makethe organizations accomplish more. In this paper a resumé will describe the strategic work and work process for the nonprofit organizations operating in Superettan. The purpose of the study is to examinethe work with mission and vision, what performance management and measurementis used and how the football clubs are working with combining non-profit objectiveswith for-profit objectives. The study's conclusion has been presented, regarding the combination of non-profitobjectives and the for-profit objectives. The result has shown that the non-profitobjectives have a large impact on the for-profit objectives. All the clubs are workingwith performance measurements and most of the performance measurements whetherit´s financial or sport measurement are linked with the sport performance. The processfor setting mission and vision are similar in each participating club. The board has thefinal approval but the suggestions of mission and vision many times comes from theclub manager and different sections of the club.

The subject of the Graduation theses "Strategic Business Activities of Outward Bound - Česká cesta, s.r.o." is creation developing strategy of choosen enterprise. Starting point is the strategic analysis of external and internal environment, which show and describe the most important impacts taking effect at a given enterprise. Based on these impacts is deduced mission and vision of an enterprise and long-term goals. In closing part of the thesis is choosen one of the generic strategies and gives suggestions how to strategy realize.
