This diploma thesis focuses on the methods of RWCT (Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking) programme and their possible use in lower secondary school history teaching. The principles and key methods of this programme are explored in the theoretical part of the thesis. Special attention is paid to the principles of the E-U-R learning cycle (evocation - realization of meaning - reflection) and the correspondence of RWCT to the Czech national curriculum outlined in the Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education (RVP ZV) in order to show that the RWCT programme corresponds to and further develops all competencies distinguished by RVP ZV. The practical part if the thesis contains methodology and resources for ten history lessons all of which are focused on the period of the 1960s. The lessons follow the learning cycle E-U-R and take advantage of the RWCT programme methodology. The aim of this diploma thesis is to serve as a practical guide for teachers who are looking for some inspiration on how to teach the period of the 1960s. However, other teachers can find it useful for its outline of various methods. Tragično ve vybraných dílech norské literatury posledních desetiletí / The Tragic in Selected Works of Norwegian Literature of Recent DecadesMittnerová, Lucie January 2011 (has links)
The goal of this thesis is to analyze five selected novels of the Norwegian modern literature in terms of the theory of tragedy. The thesis focuses on four basic aspects of the topic. First, we are trying to capture and describe the concept of tragic in general. This is done with help of theories of the tragic that: 1) are generally considered significant in the area of tragedy 2) are interesting in connection with the interpretation of the novels chosen for this thesis. Secondly, we are trying to describe main topics that could help us to identify and investigate the tragic in the above mentioned works. After this, the thesis brings a closer analysis of the novels with regard to the previously described theories. It also focuses in this connection on some additional characteristics of tragedy, as well as more theories connected to the tragic area. Furthermore, these analyses lead to repeated encounters of various interpretations of classical and modern features of tragedy. The conclusion of the thesis points out the most significant features of the analyzed works that form, according to my opinion, the tragic basis in the novels (in this context, the thesis compares the five chosen novels with each other, thus showing that one of them differs from the rest). As a result, I come to the conclusion...

Forced Labour in the Czech Republic Abstract The submitted dissertation thesis examines so far neglected issue of forced labour in the Czech Republic in its complexity, i.e. both its lawful (e.g. work performed by imprisoned persons) and unlawful forms. It seeks to discover whether the present law (and extra-legal regulation) on this topic is sufficient. For this purpose it examines not only the corresponding law across individual branches of law, but also its place in the historical and moral- philosophical context. In the first parts, the submitted thesis deals with the existence of free will as a precondition of considering a work freely chosen and with the existence and content of objective morality as a precondition of considering anything morally right. Special attention is dedicated to forced labour during Protectorate and communist regime in Czechoslovakia. The core parts of the submitted thesis consist of an analysis of corresponding international, European and national law. The attention shifts from first international conventions dealing with this issue adopted by International Labour Organisation to rich case law of the European Court of Human Rights and finally to Czech legal order where e.g. transfer of an employee to alternative work without his or her consent, transfer of employees' rights,...

Minimalismus, invence v současné taneční tvorbě / Minimalism, inventions in contemporary dance creationStupecká, Kateřina January 2015 (has links)
Describing the understanding of the term ´dance minimalism´ is the content of this theses. Following the minimalism´s journey (in the history of dance) and exploring how minimalism changes the ways of thinking and attitude helped me to clear my intention. I present information about radical figures, who were at birth (of minimalism), and period context mainly in the matter of searching and exploring the new ways of creation and also change of perceiving art that goes with it. The most important criterion is the change, which brings not only artist but also spectators to the new ways of thinking. The methods and ways of work of the important creators/artists, who work with or through out minimalism their own way or even create it are described with more depth. Music inspiration and its infiltration and impulses brought into the field of dance are at the forefront of the theses. I deconstruct and generalize the principles of minimalism, that go beyond to philosophical thougths and questions. The these also follows up the fundamental essence of minimalism - time, which in it´s innovative and till then not used ways affects spectators meditatively/contemplatively and even transcendently.

Projekt interiérové vertikální zahrady / Interior vertical garden projectHrabětová, Jana January 2017 (has links)
Vertical gardens are considered to be quite a recent topic in the world of landscape architecture. Companies are pushed to come up with new technologies regarding application of the vegetation on the vertical surfaces. Interior vertical gardens are more common in Czech Republic than the exterior vertical gardens because of the local climate. Interior vertical gardens are not just beautiful but they present a lot of other positive functions. Nowadays, a lot of people are suffering by the Sick Building Syndrome which is caused by bad microclimate of modern buildings. This problem can be solved by using indoor plants. Indoor plants improve air humidity and quality and have a positive psychological effect.
The subject of this thesis is designing three interior vertical gardens in Observatory of the Zizkov tower in Prague. Simple and attractive design of the interior is underlined by the vertical gardens. Objective of the thesis is creating unifying theme of the vertical garden´s design but using different kind of technologies and plants. Analysis of factors important for creating interior vertical gardens, such as light conditions, temperature and air humidity and technical infrastructure, are part of the thesis. The project part of the thesis includes design of the interior vertical gardens, technical information about particular technologies which have been used, planting plans and visualizations
owadays majority of people spend most of the time indoors. Interior vertical gardens connect people with nature. Because of that they are very important in the modern architecture. However, vertical gardens are still quite expensive which is considered to be their biggest downside.
