Kritika monismu v díle Karla Statečného / The Critique of Monism in the Work of Karel Statečný

Vejvoda, Michal January 2015 (has links)
Summary: Kritika monismu v díle Karla Statečného The Critique of Monism in the Work of Karel Statečný Michal Vejvoda The dissertation, ''The Critique of Monism in the work of Karel Statečný'', has led to a systematic point view on the issue of monism and its outline in Karel Statečný's work. It was found out, that Karel Statečný discerned a danger in this point of view, not only for the Church and the Christianity, but also for the whole society. The biggest danger of the monistic teaching lies in the fact, that the monistic principle is based on human nature. Karel Statečný realizes, that monistic tendency is deeply rooted in human nature, and thus is also objectively correct. With regards to Karel Statečný's analysis on monistic teaching, was discerned its danger to human religious sentiments, particularly in ethics: emptying of religion, in the case of removing of the element the personal God. Further on was found out, that monistical issues elaborated by Karel Statečný, speaks also today, because this monistic tendency is natural to human thinking. Pantheism - a belief in impersonal God, is also widespread, and this have a connection with spiritual instability and empty ethics. Therefore, the study of former monistic endeavors, may be useful to contemporary theology, theological philosophy and ethics....

Ernst Haeckel v Čechách. Stopy Haeckelovského monismu v českém kulturním prostředí na konci 19. a začátku 20. století / Ernst Haeckel in the Czech lands. Traces of Haeckel's Monism in the Czech culture during the late 19th and early 20th century.

Ovčáčková, Lenka January 2013 (has links)

Russellovský přístup / Consciousness in Nature. A Russellian Approach

Mihálik, Jakub January 2016 (has links)
Jakub Mihálik: Consciousness in Nature. A Russellian Approach Abstract: This thesis attempts to provide a philosophical answer to the question of how phenomenal consciousness, or experience, can exist in the physical world, i.e. in the world as it is described by science. The thesis has three parts: In the first part (chapter 1) I explicate the concept of phenomenal consciousness and contrast it with other concepts of consciousness common in the literature. Moreover, I suggest that the project pursued in this thesis can be naturally viewed as a part of the more general project of trying to find a stereoscopic view of man, taken by Wilfrid Sellars to be a crucial task for contemporary philosophy. In the second part of the thesis (chapters 2 to 4) I offer a detailed evaluation of the attempts at a materialist reduction of consciousness. While in chapter 2 I explore and critique the approach of apriori physicalism (Dennett, Lewis, Rey, etc.), in chapters 3 and 4, I focus on the more recent doctrine of a posteriori physicalism and especially its most prominent variety called the phenomenal concept strategy (Loar, Papineau, Levin, Schroer, etc.). One problem with a posteriori physicalism is that, as Nida-Rümelin, Goff and others argue, the view cannot make sense of the plausible thesis that our phenomenal...

Teorie poznání Rudolfa Steinera / Theory of Knowledge by Rudolf Steiner

Kasper, Vojtěch January 2021 (has links)
This thesis deals with the philosophical works of Austrian thinker, Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925). Focusing mainly on his epistemological thinking, its main objective is to interpret Steiner's Theory of Knowledge. This work is structured in four chapters. After giving the reader insight into Steiner's life, it goes on to deal with the development of his thinking and work, with particular attention paid to the substance of his first and truly philosophical (not yet theosofical- anthroposofical) phase of working life. Following from this is a passage on his relationship with J. W. Goethe, whose intellectual (and especially scientific) legacy served as Steiner's main source of inspiration, while also laying out the basic form of Goethe's scientific methodology and its epistemological background, namely its empirical and simultaneously objective idealism, which deeply spoke to Steiner and motivated him to write his first philosophical work: Grundlinien einer Erkenntnistheorie der Goetheschen Weltanschauung (1886). The third chapter approaches this particular work, in which Steiner presents and describes the theory of knowledge, as aligned with that of Goethe. Analysed and interpreted are the three main successive sections of his work, in which he expresses his notion of experience, thinking and knowledge....
