Hlinecká, Klára January 2015 (has links)
Title: Comparison of lifestyle and selected health-related fitness components between students of sports and students of general gymnasium Objectives: The main objective is to compare the amount of physical activity, form of eating and spending of free time between students of sports and students of general gymnasium in the age of adolescence. Furthermore, assess whether and what is the difference between their physical fitness and body composition. Methods: The amount of physical activity, form of eating and spending of free time we recieved by written inquiries through survey based on a modified questionnaire 6. CAV 2001 for children and youth. We measured body composition by bioelectrical impedance using the device BIA 2000 M. Physical fitness monitored group was verified by six motoric tests: jumping from a distant place, sit-ups, beep test on 20m, the number of overhand grip pull-ups by boys, dwell in the overhand grip chin-ups by girls, the flamingo balance test and sit and reach test. The research sample consisted of 20 students of the sports gymnasium and 20 students of general gymnasium. Data were analyzed by using basic statistical functions and then compared. Results: It turned out that in our research group students of sports gymnasium are more physically active and proficient with more...

Vliv tělesné výšky na pohybové kompetence dětí mladšího školního věku / Effects of body height on movement competences of pupils

Sláčíková, Barbora January 2019 (has links)
This thesis focuses on the evaluation of how body height, BMI, gender, and leisure-time physical activities affect movement competence of pupils. The theoretical part analyses the younger school age and its characteristics in physical, psychical, movement, and motoric development. We further also analyze how movement activities affect child's organisms. The critical chapter of the theoretical part is a chapter about growth and development. Additionally, we add information about anthropometric and somatic changes in the younger school age. At the end of the theoretical part, we provide an overview of methods that can be used to measure movement competence. We mainly elaborate on MOBAK 3 method, which we chose to use in our research. The research part describes the selected research and statistic methods, research sample, and results. The data showed that there is no significant relationship between body height and movement competence. However, we found significant relationships with the other variables - BMI, gender, and leisure-time physical aktivity. Traitement des gestes sans signification en mémoire de travail : Structure, stratégies et optimalisation / Treatment of meaningless gestures in working memory : structure, strategies and optimization

Gimenes, Guillaume 04 December 2014 (has links)
The objective of this work is to improve knowledge on the treatment of meaningless gestures in working memory. This research is based on five studies divided into three phases: the characterization of the structure dedicated to these stimuli; strategies used spontaneously; and optimization of performance due to induced strategies. Our first two studies show that meaningless gestures are processed by a dedicated working memory component. This component operates like the phonological loop of Baddeley, Allen and Hitch (2011) whilst being distinct from it. The next two studies highlight spontaneous verbalization, which is used in metacognitive judgments of performances, yet without improving the latter. When participants are watching gestures, both verbal and motor encoding could operate at the same time, though without combination of memory traces. The last study shows that the recall of gestures is facilitated by the use of an induced verbal strategy. However, performance is not improved by a gestural strategy. By consequence, a combination of the different memory traces is possible when words match gestures. The discussion of the thesis is structured around an update of Baddeley’s model (Baddeley et al., 2011) by adding a new component called the "motoric loop". As the gestures seem to be particularly prone to context, we are also opening the framework of this research on theories of embodied cognition (Wilson, 2002) and grounded cognition (Barsalou, 2008), as well as the embedded processes model of working memory (Cowan, 2001)

Ověření intervenčního programu pro integraci osobnosti a rozvoj zdraví mentálně postižených pomocí pohybových aktivit v Prachaticích.\\ / AUTHENTICATION OF INTERVENTION PROGRAM FOR INTEGRATION OF INDIVIDUALITY AND HEALTH DEVELOPEMENT OF MENTALLY HADICAPPED WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF MOTIONAL ACTIVITIES IN PRACHATICE

VOPELKOVÁ, Kateřina January 2007 (has links)
The aim of this work was to attest an interventional programme for integration of mentally affected people. I was testing this programme once a week for 5 months in the Special school in Prachatice. In the experimental group there were 10 persons between 10 and 17 years of age. Using the standardized tests I tried to find out whether the persons would improve their abilities in the chosen criteria of motoric competence and social accommodation. Children were tested before and after application of the interventional programme. The control group with persons from the Special school in Prachatice was used for comparison. In this group there were 10 children 10 {--} 18 years of age. Statistical analysis was used for data evaluation.

Návrh souboru průpravných cviků pro jezdce v jezdectví / A Proposal of a Training Exercise Set for Horseback Riders.

KNOBOVÁ, Gabriela January 2009 (has links)
This thesis concentrates on compiling a set of exercises which should serve beginner riders as training, muscle-developing and stretching exercises. The work may be divided into three basic parts. Compilation of exercises with respect to the theoretical knowledge of a rider's movements on a horse. Choice of a suitable group of contenders for the experiment and testing their physical abilities with a set of motoric tests. Check-out measuring of changes in movement abilities after fourteen weeks of checking the efficiency of the proposed set of exercises. The project also contains the horseback riding theory and the theory of developing and stretching particular muscle groups. In the final part of the thesis the gathered data are presented in charts and their values, after their statistic evaluation, transfered into graphs.

Úroveň pohybových schopností dětí mladšího školního věku věnujících se společenskému tanci / Level of motor abilities of primary school children dealing with ballroom dancing

Jinochová, Tereza January 2016 (has links)
The aim of this dissertation is to find out the level of motoric abilities at younger school age children who take part in social dance. I tested the level of motoric abilities using the test battery Unifittest (6 - 60). I compared the level of motoric abilities at younger school age children who take part in social dance and at younger school age children who only attend PE lessons. I tried to find out the change of the level in motoric abilities at the two above mentioned groups. I also tried to discover the type and frequency of other sport activities which children regularly do in their free time. Empirically focused part of my thesis substantiate that children of the younger school age, who take part in social dance, achieved a bigger improvement of fitness and coordinative motoric abilities. The biggest improvement was in the test of flexibility. On the basis of the questionnaire survey I found out, that children of the younger school age who do not take part in social dance, very often devote to football in their leisure. The Perceptual vs. Motoric Basis of Bimanual Coordination in Young Adults and Individual's with Parkinson's Disease

Salter, Jennifer 08 1900 (has links)
The research presented in this thesis investigates the motoric versus perceptual basis of bimanual coordination stability. A general introductory section provides an overview of Parkinson's disease, upper limb coordination in healthy younger and healthy older adults and individuals with Parkinson's disease, and the current views of the basis of bimanual coordination stability. Following the general introductory section are two manuscripts for the two experiments. Both experiments followed similar paradigms. Healthy young adults participated in the first experiment and individuals with Parkinson's disease and healthy older adults participated in the second experiment. Following the presentation of the empirical work is a general discussion section. This section is intended to summarize the two experiments, to discuss potential methodological issues and to provide ideas for future experiments. / Thesis / Master of Science (MS)
