<p>Syftet med artikeln var att undersöka huruvida några maskrosbarn uppvuxna på statliga barnhem i Rumänien upplever att nära relationer haft betydelse för deras liv. De frågeställningar som behandlats i artikeln har varit gällande huruvida det förekommit viktiga personer under deras uppväxt och huruvida dessa relationer tillgodosett viktiga grundläggande behov.</p><p>I studien användes en kvalitativ metod bestående av intervjuer med fyra olika maskrosbarn. Studien har utgått från ett interaktionistiskt perspektiv gällande tolkning och Turners (2002) transaktionella behov har utgjort tolkningsramen.</p><p>Resultatet visade att det förekommit nära relationer under respondenternas uppväxt som i stor utsträckning tillgodosett viktiga behov gällande bekräftelse, tillit, vinst, grupptillhörighet samt verklighets-förankring.</p> / <p>The purpose with the study was to examine whether some resilient youths who grew up in state institutions in Romania, feels that close relationships had a meaning for their lives. The questions asked in the study have been whether there have been important persons during their childhood and whether these relations have fulfilled important basic needs.</p><p>In the study a qualitative method were used, based on interviews with four different resilient youths. The study has taken an interactionistic perspective according to the theoretical approach and Turner’s (2002) transactional needs have been used as the theoretical framework.</p><p>The results of the study show that all of the respondents have had close relations during their childhood. These relations have to a great extent fulfilled important needs such as verifying self, trust, regards, group inclusion and a sense of facticity.</p>
