Tvorba a aplikace ekonomicko-finančního systému umožňujícího hodnocení zdravotnických zařízení poskytujících ambulantní a lůžkovou péči / Creation and application of economically-financial system for evaluation of medical facilities providing outpatient and bed care

MOUČKOVÁ, Jiřina January 2019 (has links)
The paper is focused on comparison of individual methods enabling evaluation of health care facilities and selection of the most suitable method with respect to the evaluation objective. The aim of the evaluation is to compare health care facilities by the indicators that can affect patient satisfaction. A financially sound hospital has enough resources to invest in new medical technology and equipment, it can afford to adequately pay quality health care staff and thereby influence treatment success and patient satisfaction. The partial objective is to select appropriate financial indicators for evaluation, as well as a method for comparing and ranking hospitals. The most suitable method of evaluation was the point method with the determination of weights and the definition of the required range of indicators. I proceed according to this method also in the current evaluation, with the alteration of indicators.

Připravenost Nemocnice Strakonice, a.s. na výpadek kritické infrastruktury / The preparedness of Hospital Strakonice to critical infrastructure failure

VODVÁŘKA, Martin January 2019 (has links)
The failure of critical infrastructure is one of the most serious threats, especially in health care. Hospitals and health care facilities play an irreplaceable role, so it is essential to maintain the capacity and responsiveness of the health care facility as a whole during the blackout period. In energy, which is one of the areas of critical infrastructure, power outages can occur at any time, so the hospital should be unconditionally prepared for this crisis situation and the resulting impacts. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts in the health care system located in crisis preparedness and crisis planning, as well as necessary documentation and electrical regulations. The following chapter deals with the critical infrastructure from the perspective of national and international legislative documents and links to the means for its protection. The last part explains the principle of the electricity system of the Czech Republic and describes the production, transmission and distribution of electricity. The topic of Blackout outlines the issue of domestic and foreign cases. The practical part introduces the environment of the Hospital Strakonice, a.s., further describes the available alternative sources of electric energy and legislative standards of the company, on the principles of which it respects crisis preparedness. Three specific cases explain how critical infrastructure failures can be addressed, prevent unwanted situations, respond to problems promptly, and take remedial action. For elaboration of my diploma thesis I used basic scientific procedures which are observation, consultation, analysis and comparison. The aim of the thesis was to map the readiness of the health and non-health part of the hospital to the impact of the failure of critical infrastructure, which could be described as satisfactory. The findings will be forwarded to the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Crisis Management Department of the Strakonice Hospital, a.s. to assess the possible consequences and effective preparedness for critical infrastructure failures. The results can be used as study material.

RODOVÁ, Kateřina January 2015 (has links)
The thesis deals with the issue of waste management from hospitals. This issue includes their production, sorting, collection, storage and disposal. In 1991 the first law about waste in the Czech republic was created. Till this time the waste management was not priority and waste disposal was not sensible. Currently, more attention is paid to the management of medical waste. The lay public can not imagine what kind of waste occur in health care and how it tis disposed. Health facilities are big producers of different kind of waste which is health risk not even from injuries but also risk of serious infections. Waste is often dangerous and its disposal must be separated from other communal waste. Liquidation and disposal of waste from health facility requires observance of the legislation law, regulations and goverment regulations including a catalog of waste. Many people come into contact with waste from health facility. Waste can threats patients, medical staff and other staff which is involved in handling it or involved in disposing of waste. Improper waste disposal can threaten population and also have negative inpact on the environment. The Hospital Prachatice a.s. is quite large company that produces large amount of waste. These wastes are additionally characterized by great diversity and waste management is not a simple matter. No only medical personnel and other staff are producers of waste in health facility but also outpatients or hospital patients contribute to total volume of produced waste by large proportion. The firt step to reduce the cost of waste disposal is the minimization of its occurrence. This step requires properly trained medical staff and in some cases also acquiring new working practices. For correct sorting of waste are needed other requisites such as well chosen and correct collection means, their correct labeling and their safety. Waste management in Hospital Prachatice a.s. is in accordance with the law. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains the issue of waste produced in healthcare facilities. Then, there is a characteristic of waste from healthcare facilities and their classification. The significant section is devoted to the applicable legislation and the main strategic EU documents and EU directives of waste. The study also mentioned the correct waste management and their sorting and collection. The practical part was processed using qualitative research - a secondary analysis of data. Analyzed data was obtained from annual reports of Hospital Prachatice a.s. and from operating rules of waste management. For research was chosen the time period 2008-2014. For clarity the resulting data were subsequently processed in tabular and grafical forms in Microsoft Excel. As next research method was used semistructured interview which was conducted with employees in selected health care facility. Next, in theoretical part was made qualitive research. This survey was conducted through semi-structured interviews whose aim was to determine the knowledge of workers from selected medical waste facilities. The obtained results have pointed out on issue of medical waste and their potential influence. This thesis could be used as a source of informations for curre

Stanovení počtu a kvalifikačního zastoupení ošetřovatelského personálu na standardních odděleních Nemocnice Písek, a.s. / Determination of the number and qualification representation of nursing staff at standard departments of Nemocnice Písek, a.s.

MUŽÍKOVÁ, Eva January 2010 (has links)
As the title of the thesis indicates, I addressed the number of the staff and their qualification representation at the individual departments of the hospital in Písek. I cooperated with head nurses as well as other nursing staff in the hospital and acquired information from them. The first hypothesis was that the number of the nursing staff work load at standard surgical departments corresponds with the recommendations of Karla Pochylá{\crq}s method. This hypothesis was not confirmed as the average number of staff at surgical departments was higher than the methodology states. The second hypothesis was that the number of the nursing staff work load at standard internal departments corresponds with the recommendations of Karla Pochylá{\crq}s method. The number of staff at internal departments was also higher than the recommendations of the method; neurology was the only department where the number of staff was lower than recommended. The second hypothesis also was not confirmed. The third hypothesis was that the number of the nursing staff work load at nursing beds corresponds with the recommendations of Karla Pochylá{\crq}s method. The number of the staff at nursing beds was higher than recommended by the method. This hypothesis was not confirmed. The fourth hypothesis was that the qualification representation of the nursing staff at standard surgical departments corresponds with the recommendations of Karla Pochylá{\crq}s method. This hypothesis was not confirmed. The fifth hypothesis was that the qualification representation of the nursing staff at standard internal departments does not correspond with the recommendations of Karla Pochylá{\crq}s method. This hypothesis was confirmed. The last, sixth hypothesis was that the qualification representation of nursing staff at nursing beds does not correspond with the recommendations of Karla Pochylá{\crq}s method and this hypothesis was also confirmed. I believe that the thesis can be used in practice as a template and groundwork for determining the correct number and qualification representation of nursing staff at various medical facilities.
