Příspěvek k poznání mezolitického osídlení Čech / Contribution to the Study of the Mesolithic Settlement in Bohemia

Čuláková, Katarína January 2015 (has links)
ČULÁKOVÁ, KATARÍNA. Contribution to the Study of the Mesolithic Settlement in Bohemia. Prague: Faculty of Arts, Charles University, 2015, 742 p. (including appendices and plates), PhD. thesis. This thesis wants to present lithic collections. Part of them come from an Eastern Bohemian region and part of them from the Bohemian Forest region. Firstly there is a description of how the collections were obtained. Most of the material comes from a surface survey, a smaller part comes from test pitting. A majority of the collections wasn't previously published and was processed for the purpose of this thesis, part of the information was obtained from published articles. This thesis presents a collection of 25 000 lithic pieces from Eastern Bohemia and 3 500 lithic pieces from the Bohemian Forest. At first there are the most numerous sites described according to their position in the landscape and composition of the lithic collection. Then there is a whole collection characterised according to the used raw material, typology and used technology. This information is incorporated into the wider frame of Central European mesolithics. One of the most interesting features of the collection is the variability of raw materials, which is especially high in the Eastern Bohemian region. From the technological point...

Analýza problémů zemí Jižního křídla EMU a přistoupení ČR do Eurozóny / Analysis of problems of South wing countries of EMU and Ireland from the optimum currency area point of view and application on Czech Republic

Michailidis, Dimitrios January 2010 (has links)
This thesis focuses on analysis of current problems of so called "South wing countries" of EMU and Ireland (countries which are being called "PIIGS") from the theory of optimum currency area point of view. It uses the static and dynamic version of the theory as a framework for analyzing the problems of internal and external imbalance within those countries and mainly the connection between current accounts deficits, high level of private and public debts, loss of competitiveness in international trade and high percent of unemployment. The thesis comes with a conclusion that the main factors behind the crisis were inflation and inflation expectations which then through different inflation differentials created asymmetric shocks in monetary policy. This inflation differential phenomenon is described in Walters critique and with other theories creates the basis of analytical part. In the appendix it assesses the readiness of Czech Republic for accepting the euro, based on the analysis made in this thesis.

Automatická segmentace cévních systémů myších jater v tomografických datech / Blood vessel tree segmentation of the mouse liver in CT data

Smékalová, Veronika January 2018 (has links)
The methodology of visualization of soft tissue is in biology and medicine a topic for many years. During this period there were approving many techniques how to achieve accurate and authentic image of the researched object or structure. X-ray computed tomography is very helpful to get this goal but is necessary to improve contrasting techniques as well as the techniques of image post-processing. This thesis deals with imaging soft tissue. Specifically, it focuses on mouse liver contrasting with the artificial resin Microfil. Thesis also describes image processing technique (thresholding and region growing) for the data of the measurement with the goal of the visualization of the sample in 3D.

Segmentace měkkých tkání v obličejové části myších embryí v mikrotomografických datech / Segmentation of soft tissues in facial part of mouse embryos from X-ray computed microtomography data

Janštová, Michaela January 2019 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with a segmentation of soft tissues in facial part of mouse embryos in Matlab. Segmentation of soft tissues of mouse embryos was not fully automated and every case needs a specific solution. Solving parts of this issues can provide valuable data for evolutionary biologists. Issues about staining and segmentation techniques are described. On the basis of accessible literature otsu thresholding, region growing, k-means clustering and segmentation with atlas were tested. In the end of this paper are those methods tested and evaluated on 3D microtomography data.

Rentgenová počítačová tomografie embrya myši / X-ray computed tomography of mouse embryo

Šejnohová, Marie January 2015 (has links)
The aim of this semestral thesis is to compare the possibilities of available micro-CT systems. Theoretic part of this thesis there deals with possibilities of staining soft tissues and embryos because of enhancement the contrast of micro-CT images. Here follows a description of sources X-ray and detectors of available micro-CT systems. In practice there was realized the staining of embryo in cooperation with Department of histology and embryology in Brno. Then followed a measuring on FSI in Brno, ČVUT in Prague and synchrotron Elettra in Italy. In semestral thesis are described of the thesis there are compared the micro-CT systems and results of measuring embryos by means of presented systems and results are compared. The best results were obtained on micro-CT in Brno, where X-ray tube and flat panel detector were used. This images were used for a segmentation of cartilage olfactory system by means of 3D region growing. From results they were created 3D models for comparison with a manually segmented model. A less accurate results were obtain with the semi-automatic segmentation but this method isn’t too time-consuming.

Genetické mapování u rodu Xenopus / Genetic mapping in Xenopus

Seifertová, Eva January 2014 (has links)
The diploid amphibian Xenopus tropicalis represents a significant model organism for studies of early development, genes function and evolution. Such techniques as gynogenesis, injection of morpholino antisense oligonucleotide into fertilized eggs or transgenesis were established. In the recent ten years, many efforts have been made to complete the sequence information. X. tropicalis genome has been sequenced but the completion of its assembly only on the basis of sequence data has been impossible. Therefore, our first work was focused on one of approaches for a genome completing- genetic mapping. First of all, the genetic map of Xenopus tropicalis was established pursuant linkage and physical positions of markers. Since the map contained gaps, we developed a new method for genetic mapping based on the next generation sequencing of laser microdissected arm. Using Illumina next generation sequencing of fifteen copies of a short arm of chromosome 7, we obtained new insights into its genome by localizing previously unmapped genes and scaffolds as well as recognizing mislocalized portions of the genome assembly. This was the first time laser microdissection and sequencing of specific chromosomal regions has been used for the purpose of genome mapping. These data were also used in the evolution study of...

Numerická analýza aproximace nepolygonální hranice u nespojité Galerkinovy metody / Numerical analysis of approximation of nonpolygonal domains for discontinuous Galerkin method

Klouda, Filip January 2012 (has links)
Title: Numerical analysis of approximation of nonpolygonal domains for discon- tinuous Galerkin method Author: Filip Klouda Department: Department of Numerical Mathematics Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Vít Dolejší, Ph.D., DSc., KNM MFF UK Abstract: In this work we use the discontinuous Galerkin finite element method for the semidiscretization of a nonlinear nonstationary convection-diffusion pro- blem defined on a nonpolygonal two-dimensional domain. Using so called appro- ximating curved elements we define a piecewise polynomial approximation of the boundary of the domain and a space on which we search for a solution. We study the convergence of the method considering a symmetric as well as nonsymmetric discretization of diffusion terms and with the interior and boundary penalty. The obtained results allow us to derive an error estimate for the Discontinuous Galer- kin method employing the approximating curved elements. This estimate depends on the order of the approximation of the solution and also on the order of the approximation of the boundary. We describe one possibility of the construction of the approximating curved elements with the aid of a polynomial mapping given by an interpolation of points on the boundary. We present numerical experiments. Keywords: nonlinear convection-diffusion equation, discontinuous...

Fúze společností z hlediska projektu migrace dat / Merger in terms of data migration project

Worsch, Filip January 2013 (has links)
This work deals with the data migration during the process of mergers and acquisitions. The first, theoretical part, defines the general terms concerning mergers and acquisitions, further mentions motives that may lead to it, and the basic stages of the implementation process of mergers and acquisitions. This section also presents brief information on selected methodologies of project management, of which principles are used in the next part, dealing with data migration projects. The aim of this work is to develop a methodology for project management of data migration in mergers and acquisitions process, which may serve as a guide for merging companies and data migration teams. In the methodology there are specified activities and defined procedures to be followed in the various stages of the project life cycle. To each activity the way and necessary prerequisites for carrying out are specified. The methodology also describes common problems with which the data migration project in carrying out the action may be faced and which could threaten the success of the project or its part. For each potential problem a possible way to eliminate it is added, or solutions.
