Anticipační "it" v předmětu / Anticipatory "it" objects

Filipová, Anežka January 2012 (has links)
The present study focuses on object extraposition in English based on an analysis of corpus findings. The construction in question comprises a monotransitive verb complemented by it which anticipates an object nominal content clause introduced by the conjunctions that, when or if/whether, immediately juxtaposed to the anticipatory it. The aim of the study is to determine the types and frequency of verbs which occur with object it extraposition and to describe what factors influence the use of anticipatory it. The study first provides a review of the relevant topics and outlines a summary of possible factors influencing the occurrence of the construction under study. It focuses on the properties of the verb and complements, the nature of object extraposition in English and the realisations of the object function, and lastly, it outlines the possible factors leading to the use of anticipatory it object. The research part of the study consists of two parts. The first one deals with the selection of material and methodology, while the second presents the description and analysis of the findings. The primary main part of the research was conducted on the data containing 836 sentences that were drawn from the British National Corpus. The research shows that the most frequent verbs occurring with...

Stanovení obsahových látek rostliny Echinacea / Analysis of Echinacea content compounds

Michalíček, Jan January 2008 (has links)

Myrmekochorie - evoluční a ekologické souvislosti / Myrmecochory - evolutionary and ecological context

KONEČNÁ, Marie January 2015 (has links)
Various aspects of myrmecochory were investigated. Effect of different storage methods on atractiveness of seeds with elaiosomes for ants was examined. Viable seed bank of refuse piles (places where ants deposit unused objects from ant nests, e.g. seeds after the elaiosome was eaten) and places outside them were compared. Chemical content of five major chemical groups, specifically amino acids, free fatty acids, organic acids, polyols and sugars, of elaiosomes and seeds of selected species was determined, and compared with respect to their taxonomic relatedness.

Překladová technika z latiny do staroslověnštiny na základě Gumpoldovy legendy a Druhé staroslověnské legendy o sv. Václavu / The translation technique from Latin to Old Church Slavonic on the basis of the Gumpold's legend and the Second Old Church Slavonic Life of Saint Wenceslas

Spurná, Kateřina January 2017 (has links)
The Translation Technique from Latin to Old Church Slavonic on the Basis of Gumpold's Legend and the Second Old Church Slavonic Life of Saint Wenceslas Kateřina Spurná Summary This dissertation analyses the translation technique from Latin to Old Church Slavonic on the basis of Gumpold's Legend (Gump) from the end of the 10th century and its translation, the Second Old Church Slavonic Life of Saint Wenceslas (VencNik), which was written in early Přemyslid Bohemia probably in the second half of the 11th century. The introductory chapters provide the basic characteristics of the Gump and deal with its preservation in manuscripts and other Latin and Old Church Slavonic legends of St Wenceslas. Afterwards, attention is focused on the analysis of the VencNik, its preservation in manuscripts of Russian provenance and the basic phonetic and morphological characteristics of the text. These chapters are followed by a new edition of the VencNik, in which the Old Church Slavonic text is presented in the form actually preserved in manuscripts (unlike the earlier edition of Josef Vašica from 1929, who tried to reconstruct the original version), and compared with the partly revised and supplemented edition of the Gump. The edition of the Old Church Slavonic text is followed by a brief chapter on the biblical quotations...
