The goal of diploma thesis is to evaluate small and medium-sized enterprises from the perspective of regional development. The first part describes basic terms related to this issue. The following part deals with the importance of small and medium-sized enterprises in therms of regional development theories and their evolution in the context of main economic theories. The third part focuses on the share of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Czech economy and the district of Břeclav. This chapter also contains a questionnaire survey focused on the district of Břeclav. The goal of this survey was to determine the attitude of municipal representatives towards this issue.

Rows of trees and alleys are part of czech landscape for centuries. Its essence and meaning has changed with time and nowdays its existence is being discussed. This thesis deals with complexity and actual evolution of this subject. Practical part is based on author´s earlier research in Karviná district. It deals with suggestions of care managment and recovery for model alleys. In metodical part, three alleys with diferent characteristics on first class roads have been chosen. Their qualities refer to main problematics and limits, by which their care and recovery possibilities are nowadays limited. Actual condition of alleys and their cultivation is being reviewed and there are suggested several variations of solution for their further preservation. Proposals are supported by exemplary budget costs and map data. The results are summed up into basis that can be used in the managment of alleys in this district.

The thesis concentrates on sources of unemployment in the district of Bruntál and social groups, which are threatened by long-term unemployment and discrimination on the labour market. The first chapter is concerned to methods and interpretation basic terms. A practical part is focused on analyses of the labour market and the employment policy in the district Bruntál. The following chapter deal with a socio-economic and demographic characteristic of the region.

The alleys had experienced a significant number of changes throughout its history until when they became a typical feature of the Czech landscape. However, the maintenance of these vegetation elements lag nowadays. Therefore, this dissertation thesis titled as Maintenance of Road Alleys in the District of Benešov with a Focus on Binding of Treetops Technology is focused on a survey of the most common troubles and damages of trees. Moreover, it will propose suitable cultivation for stabilization given wood. All potential issues and suggestions will be discussed in order to secure road safety. There is a list of selected road sections that will be assessed: II/114 section H, III/1113 section A, III/1114 section C, III/10614 section B, III/11112 section C, III/11434 section F and the old driveway to the castle Jemniště. The selected trees of these segments are further elaborated in detail in a form of pictorial board with quantified financial costs. The proposed measures can serve like a base for the maintenance of the alleys for an administrator of roads and may be also used in other areas of the district.

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the condition of organic farming and organic production in the Moravian-Silesian Region with a focus on the district Bruntal. The first part of the thesis outlines the history and current state of organic farming in the Czech Republic and the world, presents the basic principles and ideas of organic farming and also deals with the topic of organic food. This section also presents the Moravian-Silesian Region and the district Bruntal. The second part contains information about organic farming and organic production in the Moravian-Silesian Region and its individual districts. The situation in the district of Bruntal is analyzed in detail. The analysis is supplemented by a questionnaire survey, which is focused on ecological entrepreneurs in the district and also on consumers. In conclusion, the information obtained is summarized and discussed.

The diploma thesis Printed Municipal Bulletins in Prague-We st District and Beroun District deals with municipal printed bulletins as a specific kind of media. Municipal bulletins provide information about political, economic, cultural, and sport events in respective areas. They have a very important role in distribution of local news. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part offers the definition of municipal bulletins and other important terms, and a description of legal aspects of their publishing. The second part analyzes results of a questionnaire research, which was conducted with publishers of municipal bulletins in Prague-West District and Beroun District. The purpose of this research was to obtain complex information on the number of municipal bulletins that are currently published in the districts. The research focused on organizational, economic, technical, and personnel background of publishing of the municipal bulletins. This important part of the research also attempted to obtain information about the level of pluralism of provided by the bulletins. The third part contains results of in-depth interviews with persons who are in charge of publishing the bulletins. This thesis "The Characteristic of Weekly newspaper Krkonošská pravda " i s focused on the district newspaper of Trutnov district. Krkonošská pravda based in 1960-1990. This thesis describes the first ten years of this weekly newspaper, which means it is focused on the issues from the years 1960-1969. Krkonošská pravda was political journal published by OV KSČ and ONV in Trutnov. The work focuses on the function of the district newspaper, its content and graphic design. IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE The diploma thesis describes the beginning of the Czech education system in a former district Německé Jablonné. The first part gives details about the district formation, territorial-administrative development and its decline in 1948. The second part focuses on the development of the Czech education system. Due to huge amount of data I have selected the most important moments, information and documents which happened between 1869 and 1945. This part also contains a chapter about the development of the education system from the border area followed by a short chapter about school chronicles. The third part lists all the schools which were opened between the First and the Second World War in Německé Jablonné district. The aim of the thesis is to describe the district itself as well as the development of the Czech education system during the time of its existence, focusing on the border area. The main aim was to find out what kind of schools were there, the number of students, school equipment, public events, trips, festivals and celebrations. The information was found in the school chronicles and other school documents, from the interviews with the local people and the teachers who have still been teaching at one of those schools. This diploma thesis focuses on the picture of removing German citizens from the region of Vrchlabí in regional newspapers. Its main goal is to characterise the district of Vrchlabí, which ceased to exist in 1961, and the conditions of German citizens and the Czech minority and to depict the reflection of events succeeding World War II, as the regional periodicals presented it. The author also focuses on conditions for regional periodicals to come into existence and on the actual periodicals focusing on the region of Vrchlabí and on the events succeeding the war in Vrchlabí and its surrounding area, as well as on the authors writing for these periodicals. The structure of the population of Most district: history, present and possible future development options Abstract The objective of this study is to evaluate the historical, current and possible future development of the structure of the population, which live in the analyzed district of Most. Within the district are compared the structures of the population by sex, age, marital status, educational attainment, nationality, religion and economy activity in each selected years. In the first part, the history of settlement of the current district is briefly explained. Development of the settlement in the 20th century and development of the structures of population follows. In the next part, the current structures of the population and possible options for future development of the population of the district are given. Differences of the structures of the population structure during the existence of life in the district are evaluated in the conclusion part.
