Každodenní život ve Vsetíně v době okupace 1939 - 1945 (ve světle archivních dokumentů). / Everyday life in Vsetín during the occupation in 1939 - 1945 (in the light of archival documents).

KORYTÁŘOVÁ, Jana January 2010 (has links)
The aim of my diplom work is to, at least partially, take a close look at everyday life in the mentioned city of Vsetín in the period of years 1939 - 1945. One of the primary tasks was to chronicle mainly commercial, communal and cultural life of this regional city using mainly archival sources, less commonly literature. The most of the information comes from official sources, which are stored in the State district record office in Vsetín. During the work, there were also used documents stored in Moravian provincial record office in Brno and in Provincial record office in Opava. In these cases, it dealt funds, that arose because of acts of German occupation authorities. In the submitted work, I have used not only literature, but also regional press. But it was used very marginally, because very little amount of it has preserved.

Aplikace mezinárodního práva okupace v rámci tzv. dlouhodobé okupace / Application of the international law of occupation in situations of a long-term occupation

Janíková, Tereza January 2021 (has links)
Application of the international law of occupation in situations of a long-term occupation Abstract The topic of the master thesis is an analysis of the application of the international law of occupation in a situation of a long-term occupation, i.e. an occupation which spreads over years or decades. The aim of the thesis is to critically assess whether the current legal framework, i.e. the law of occupation as a part of the international humanitarian law, corresponds to the specific conditions of a long-term occupation, with regard to fulfilling the objectives of international humanitarian law and international human rights law, or not. The first part anchors the law of occupation within the legal framework, i.e. within international humanitarian law, introduces the concept of occupation and long-term occupation and outlines the responsibilities of the occupation power under the law of occupation. One chapter focuses specifically on the role of international human rights law in the armed conflicts. The core of the thesis identifies the challenges the international law of occupation is currently facing. The assessment shows that the occupation law does not reflect the specific circumstances and conditions of a long-term occupation, especially with respect to the needs of occupied population, and does not...

Japonská ekonomika v období americké okupace

Horáček, David January 2007 (has links)

Mediální obraz okupace Československa v roce 1968 v dobovém polském tisku / Media Image of the Occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1968 in Contemporary Press

Řehák, Miroslav January 2014 (has links)
This work is based on the analysis of media image of the occupation of Czechoslovakia by troops of the Warsaw Pact in contemporary Polish press with focus on the role of the Polish army. The purpose of this work is to assess used media discourse of Polish communist newspapers which were informing about these events with focus on elements of propaganda, which were typical for the 60's in the Eastern Bloc countries. At the same time there is a comparison to media discourse of Polish emigration press in the United States. In the beginning, I will describe basic sources and literature and present results of research on topics such as the Prague Spring, Operation Danube and elements of newspeak. The theoretical part of this thesis begins with the context of historical progress which leads to the Prague Spring and Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia afterwards. The subsequent chapters are dedicated to a brief history of Polish press after World War Two and also the theories of propaganda and newspeak. The practical part of this thesis is dedicated to the analysis of selected articles from newspapers such as Życie Warszawy, Żołnierz Wolności and Słowo Polskie. These articles are confronted with texts from Chicago's Dziennik Związkowy. I will summarize these findings in the final chapter. Key words...

Právní postavení hnutí odporu a analýza jeho činů v Izraelsko-Palestinském konfliktu / The Legal Status of a Resistance Movement and the Analysis of its Acts Within the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

Pohořská, Barbora January 2016 (has links)
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict brings up many questions considering and reaching into several different spheres, including the spheres of law. This thesis focuses on the question of the organized resistance movement against occupation and on its legal status. It is known that the inhabitants of every occupied territory are allowed to protect themselves and their territory from the occupier, thus they are allowed to resist the occupation and to claim a recognition of their resistance movement and of its acts as legal acts. Although the resistance movement is a well known term, there is no official definition of this movement and its legal framework is quite narrow; it only establishes the characteristics needed in order for its members to gain a status and a legal protection similar to the regular combatants. It is limited from its name that the resistance movement against occupation may only exists in the territory where an actual occupation takes place. In order to characterize the organized resistance movement against occupation in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, it is necessary for this thesis to first answer several supporting questions concerning the actual status of the specific conflict and look closer whether or not is the concerned territory actually occupied. After reaching a...

Židé v protektorátu a pokusy o jejich záchranu / Jews in the Protectorat and attempts of their rescure

Hlinovská, Květoslava January 2012 (has links)
This thesis is about modern Jewish history in the territory of Czechoslovakia, specifically the history of 2WW. It maps the fate of Jews under the new circumstances that had prevailed right after the declaration of the Protectorat of Bohemia and of Moravia, on the 15th of March, 1939. In keeping with those changes according to the new political system that was forcibly implemented, new and new anti-Jewish regulations were published with a view of total displacement of Jews from society and their total liquidation in compliance with Hitler's "final solution". It emphasizes some attempts to save Jews not only by "ordinary non-aryan people", but also by the Jewish resistance and last but not least by the government in exile. This work attempts to explain what led rescuers to their actions and their motivations, including some known rescuers, such as Nicholas Winton and Přemysl Pitter.

Nacistická okupace českého pohraničí a českých zemí a její důsledky pro církevní správu / Nazi Occupation of the Czech Frontiers and Czech Lands

Pakandl, Josef January 2012 (has links)
The thesis deals with impact of the Nazi occupation on the church administration. The aim is to describe as thoroughly as possible the results of the occupation of the Czech borderland as well as remaining area Bohemia and Moravia for the church administration and also to touch some other questions related to this theme. I chose this topic because of my interest in history. The issues of churches and religion societies are also close to me. During writing Master's degree thesis I studied special literature and I visited bishopric in České Budějovice and National archive. The work is divided into nine chapters. The first chapter deals with the occupation of the Czech borderland by German army and subsequent government at this region. The second chapter describes the impact of the occupation on the Roman Catholic Church administration, namely administration in individual dioceses, commissariats of Wroclaw archdiocese on the Czech territory, attempts to fill the vacancy of diocesan bishops from the part of the Apostolic See and consequences for the structure of congregations. The third chapter outlines German church politics and its impact on the church life in the occupied borderland, especially relationship of believers to the national issue, German steps aimed against churches, persecution of...

Poválečná japonská ústava jako ukázka formy americké okupace / The Postwar Japanese Constitution as an Epitome of American Occupation

Koutník, Vojtěch January 2012 (has links)
The postwar Constitution of Japan is one of the foremost legacies of american occupation. The aim of this study is to describe the circumstances of its creation, to evaluate the roles and motivations of the parties and individuals concerned, and to answer the following question: To what extent was the constitution imposed on Japan and to what extent was its contents a compromise? The study tries to emphasize the role of interaction between the GHQ and the japanese government prior to the presentation of the draft to the Imperial Diet. The focus is put on the analysis of the events of March 4th and 5th, during which the american and the japanese visions of postwar Japan clashed most dramatically.

Ochrana kulturních statků v případě okupace / Protection of cultural assets in case of occupation

Blšťáková, Tereza January 2015 (has links)
The Protection of Cultural Property during Occupation Cultural property represents an integral part of every nation, it completes the identity of the individual as well as that of humanity as a whole. Because of its specific character, it represents a unique and valuable source for the understanding of history, and creates a sense of belonging to a community, either in its national or in its worldwide sense. Cultural property has a special, irreplaceable meaning for society; its character, existence and continuity and must therefore be protected. The risks that cultural property faces are of two different kinds: either independent of human will or, on the other hand, connected with human activity. Dangers for cultural property are naturally present even during the time of peace. On the other hand, cultural property represents especially vulnerable objects during the time of armed conflict or occupation. Even though during the time of armed conflict the protection of human lives, especially of persons not involved in actual fighting, plays the paramount role, it is nevertheless important to provide protection to cultural property as well. The aim of my thesis is to provide an overview and framework of existing mechanisms for the protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict,...
