Metodický přístup k evaluaci výpočtů transportu světla / A Methodical Approach to the Evaluation of Light Transport Computations

Tázlar, Vojtěch January 2020 (has links)
Photorealistic rendering has a wide variety of applications, and so there are many rendering algorithms and their variations tailored for specific use cases. Even though practically all of them do physically-based simulations of light transport, their results on the same scene are often different - sometimes because of the nature of a given algorithm or in a worse case because of bugs in their implementation. It is difficult to compare these algorithms, especially across different rendering frameworks, because there is not any standardized testing software or dataset available. Therefore, the only way to get an unbiased comparison of algorithms is to create and use your dataset or reimplement the algorithms in one rendering framework of choice, but both solutions can be difficult and time-consuming. We address these problems with our test suite based on a rigorously defined methodology of evaluation of light transport algorithms. We present a scripting framework for automated testing and fast comparison of rendering results and provide a documented set of non-volumetric test scenes for most popular research-oriented render- ing frameworks. Our test suite is easily extensible to support additional renderers and scenes. 1

Energeticky úsporný dům lékařů a sester v Kroměříži. / Energy-efficient house for doctors and nurses in the city of Kroměříž.

Dvořák, Petr January 2022 (has links)
The aim of my thesis is to design the project documentation of an energy-efficient house for doctors and nurses, located near the hospital in Kroměříž. The work is divided into three parts. The first part focuses on the architectural and construction design of the building. The second part deals with the design of the technical equipment of the building and its layout. The third part deals with the design and comparison of different cooling sources. The building is a two-storey building with a flat, vegetated roof and its design is in the building permit stage. On the ground floor there is a bistro, a dining room with food preparation, technical rooms and 3 apartments. On the second floor there are 9 apartments and a lounge. In the middle of the building there is a circulation area with a staircase, a glass elevator and a large skylight that illuminates the whole area. Heating is provided by a gas condensing boiler. Ventilation is provided by three air handling units. A hybrid cooling system with heat recuperation from the refrigerant is designed. For partial electricity demand, 62 photovoltaic panels are installed on the roof of the building. The third part deals with the design of alternative cooling solutions for the building. Multi split, VRV and water cooling system with roof top chiller are proposed in addition to the already designed hybrid system. These four alternatives are compared with each other and the most suitable option is then designed.

Demonstrace pokročilých technik využívajících OpenGL / Advanced Techniques Demo Using OpenGL

Buček, Antonín January 2008 (has links)
This thesis demonstrates advanced techniques using OpenGL. The work is conceived as a demo without any size restrictions. It focuses on creating 3D world, which consists of inner rooms complex. Some additional interesting objects, lighting and shadows enrich the rooms. Particle systems, which were used to create explosions, smokes and some other particle effects are described in the thesis, too. 3D machine models fight between themselves using laser beams and form the story of the demo. Important part of the work is a movement model which is applied to both models and avatar. Sound track completes the demo.

Photon mapping / Photon Mapping

Nečas, Ondřej January 2009 (has links)
This thesis deals with practical implementation of photon mapping algorithm. To achieve better results some basic and some more advanced methods of global illumination has been examined. These time demanding algorithms are often practically unusable and their further optimization is necessary. Optimized ray tracer is essential for practical implementation. Computing diffuse interreflection by Monte Carlo sampling is also very time demanding operation. Therefore it is appropriate to use it along with proper interpolation.

Optimalizace světelných podmínek v budovách / Optimisation of light conditions in buildings

Vajkay, František January 2013 (has links)
Building physics as a branch of architecture must ensure an indoor comfort of each user and inhabitant of a building object. This involves, acoustics, indoor thermal conditions and among others also daylighting and artificial lighting of buildings. Light as a particle and an electromagnetic wave, is required by the different aspects of the human organism. It allows the living beings to see, influences skin and bones, the biorhythms, etc. Therefore, it is necessary for the engineering community to predict the correct illuminance and luminance levels acting insides. The thesis deals with such issues. More precisely, it assesses the quality of design tools and methodologies, either against CIE reference cases described in CIE 171/2006 and against real measurements done over the working plane of an indoor space located in the attic of Building D of the Institute of Building Structures, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Brno University of Technology, too. The tools tested throughout the solution of the dissertation did involve three computer programs: RADIANCE, WDLS v3.1 and WDLS v4.1, and one numerographical approach, namely the Daniljuk’s innovated methodology (sometimes even combined with the theories of BRS). In addition several software’s have had been created alongside the process assessment, just to mention the “RADIANCE Script”, “RADIANCE Data Evaluation Script” or “MuuLUX“. The later was written as a communication software allowing the connection of the KONICA-MINOLTA T10 illuminance meter to a computer with the aim of data collection while long term observation. The solution did also require the establishment of a measuring element for the determination of the light reflectance values of surfaces. The solutions, results and conclusions do describe how well did the design approaches deal while predicting the resulting awaited daylight factor levels in points over the working plane.
