Alternativní reprodukční strategie a pohlavní výběr u vlaštovky obecné Hirundo rustica / Alternative reproductive strategies and sexual selection in barn swallow Hirundo rusticaMichálková, Romana January 2021 (has links)
Molecular techniques have revealed that avian mating system is more diverse and complex than previously thought. Both males and females can use alternative reproductive tactics to increase their fitness. Here, we have determined the prevalence of conspecific brood parasitism (CBP, 22% of nests), quasi-parasitism (QP, 6.5% of nests) and extra-pair paternity (EPP, 51.2% of nests) in European subspecies of barn swallow (Hirundo rustica rustica). In contrast to EPP and CBP, QP is rare and has been described in only a few bird species. Our data indicate nonrandom QP patterns, suggesting that this tactic can be considered a third alternative reproductive strategy, alongside CBP and EPP. Sexual ornaments are usually assumed to evolve as condition-dependent signals of individual quality. In this context, a positive correlation between the expression of ornamental traits and survival, is expected. Evolutionary theory predicts that females seek extra-pair fertilizations from high-quality (more ornamented) males and EPP has consequently been proposed as a principal protagonist in the evolution of male secondary sexual traits, however empirical evidence in support of the assertion is relatively scarce. Despite decades of research into the role of EPP in sexual selection, the potential fitness advantages for...

Vývoj nových kvantově-chemických metod pro silně korelované systémy / Coupled clusters tailored by matrix product state wave functionsAntalík, Andrej January 2021 (has links)
The central problem in the modern electronic structure theory is the calculation of cor- relation energy, possibly by an approach that would account for both static and dynamic correlation in an efficient, balanced and accurate way. In this thesis, I present a collection of methods that combine the effective treatment of dynamic correlation by the coupled cluster theory with density matrix renormalization group, a well-established technique for calculations of strongly correlated systems. The connection between them is achieved via the tailored coupled clusters (TCC) ansatz, which conveniently does not impose any ad- ditional computational costs. After the successful initial assessment, we developed more efficient implementations of these methods by employing the local approaches based on pair natural orbitals. This way, we extended the range of possible applications to larger systems with thousands of basis functions. To assess the accuracy of TCC as well as its local counterparts, we performed a variety of benchmark calculations ranging from small, yet challenging systems such as the nitrogen molecule or tetramethyleneethane diradical, to larger molecules like oxo-Mn(Salen) or Fe(II)-porphyrin model. 1

Detekce genomových variací / Detection of Genome VariationsBeluský, Tomáš January 2013 (has links)
An influence of variations in human genome is perceptible at a first glance on human itself to see differences between the individuals and entire populations. Also, behavior or probability of certain diseases are influenced in large way by differences at genome's level. This work presents methods for detecting variations in the human genome that were developed after an arose of the second-generation sequencing technologies. A new tool that combines read pair and split read methods, with information about a depth of coverage was also designed and implemented. The tool was tested on simulated and real data and compared with a reference outputs.

Implementace algoritmu pro hledání podobností DNA řetězců v FPGA / Approximate String Matching Algorithm Implementation in FPGAPařenica, Martin January 2007 (has links)
This paper describes sequence alignment algorithms of nucleotide sequences. There are described pairwise alignment algorithms using database search or dynamic programming. Then in the paper is description of dynamic programming for multiple sequences and algorithm that builds phylogenetic trees. At the end of the first part of the paper is the description of technology FPGA. In the second part that is more practical is described implemntation of the choosen one algorithm. This part includes also examples of some multiple alignments.

Individuální charakteristiky řečového rytmu ve čtených hlasatelstvích v ruštině / Personal characteristics of speech rhythm in Russian newsreadingČížková, Irena January 2015 (has links)
Personal characteristics of speech rhythm in Russian newsreading Bc. Irena Čížková Abstract An issue of individual rhythmic characteristics of particular 5 native speakers of the Russian language, newsreaders from the BBC, is described in this thesis. A research of the given 5 speech recordings was conducted based on the academic concepts created by Ramus, Mehler and Nespor, and by Low and Grabe and also by Dellwo, so through a speech rhythm research based on rhythm correlates that are related to vocalic and intervocalic intervals. The recordings were processed in an analyting program called Praat and the extracted results were then evaluated in a statistical processor called STATISTICA. These materials were used for further analysis. The recordings were analysed based on several parameters: %V (proportion of vocalic intervals in one breath group), ∆C and ∆V (standard deviation of the vocalic and consonantal interval duration), PVI-V, PVI-C (Pairwise Variability Index of the vocalic and consonantal interval duration), Varco V and Varco C (variation coefficient of the vocalic and consonantal interval duration) and the difference between duration of stressed and unstressed vowels. Three parameters that were the most successful from the speakers' ability to differentiate point of view were selected through an...

Implementace obecného assembleru / Implementation of General AssemblerHusár, Adam January 2007 (has links)
This thesis describes the design of the universal assembler that represents a part of the Lissom project. You will be provided with the description of the assembler architectures and their usual tasks. Special attention is paid to GNU assembler. Designed assembler consists of the fixed and the generated part. The generated part is created automatically from the description of instruction set, that is defined using architecture and instructions set description language ISAC. Using this approach, it is possible to change assembler target architecture automatically. The second part of thesis describes the Parserlib2 library implementation that is a part of the Lissom project and provides the information about the target instruction set for an assembler generator.
