MĚNÍ SE SOMATICKÉ PARAMETRY DIVOKÝCH ZÁSTUPCŮ (PSOVITÝCH) ŠELEM V LIDSKÉ PÉČI? / Somatic changes due to captivity in carnivores/canids?

ZUNKOVÁ, Karolína January 2014 (has links)
Animals kept in the captivity provide an option for morphological comparisons which are in the wild hardly feasible. Over the years, however, a many authors have detected the morphological differences between wild individuals and individuals from captivity, mostly based on the metric comparisons (eg. O'Regan, 2001, 2003; Wolfgramm, 2012; Heráň, 1986 and others), probably caused to some extent by specific confitions in the captivity. These differences were detected for example in Equidae (Groves, 1966), Rhinocerotidae (Groves, 1985) and Felidae, research made on Felidae outnumber research made on Canidae (eg. Kitchener & O'Regan, 2005). This work is focused on osteometric comparion of non-domestic members of the family Canidae, specifically on individuals bred in captivity in confrontation with the literature which providing records from wild individuals. Data were compared in several ways, statistically by t-test. The results show that zoo animals and wild-individuals differ in many aspects but surprisingly in favor of the zoo animals. Obtained results should be further using higher number of captive and wild individuals.

Ošetřovatelská péče u pacientů s cévním onemocněním / Nursing Care for Patients with Vascular Disease

Šestáková, Anežka January 2014 (has links)
This thesis deals with diseased peripheral blood vessels, namely thrombosis of veins affecting limbs and the pelvic area and acute arterial blockages in extremities. In addition to data concerning these illnesses, the thesis also presents the treatment of these patients and treatment of those patients who are given anti-coagulants either preventatively or as part of treatment. The empirical portion includes quantitative research through an anonymous survey instrument. The respondents were nurses who worked in internal, surgery, or general units of intensive care in university and regional hospitals. The goal of the research was to determine whether nurses are aware of the general areas of non-coronary blood-vessel issues and of the idiosyncrasies of treatment of patients with warfarin and heparin, and whether the nurses were aware of the idiosyncrasies of treatment of patients with non-coronary arterial blockages. We discovered that nurses were most aware of the idiosyncrasies of treatment of patients with warfarin and heparin. On the other hand, the nurses had almost no awareness of the idiosyncrasies of treatment of patients with non-coronary arterial blockages. Exactly half of the respondents were aware of the general areas of non-coronary blood-vessel issues. The conclusion of the thesis...

Klozová, Ivana January 2018 (has links)
Introduction of problems: At present, nursing education is being given increasing attention. This is done by the management of the health service itself, by the teachers, by the nurses themselves, but also by the sick. There is still a burning shortage of nurses in all disciplines and hospitals. The current healthcare situation is slowly coping with changes in education, and only time will show whether changes have been set in the right direction and will help to infiltrate qualified staff into hospitals Goals: The main goal of my diploma thesis was to find out the motivation of nurses for specialization study in intensive care at work. The partial goal number one was to find out if nurses are educated in lifelong learning. Sub-goal number two was to map what nurses are currently the most burdened in their intensive care work. Methodology: A quantitative survey was carried out using custom-built questionnaires that were conducted in the intensive care nursing population Results: The results of the survey showed that the main reason nurses for intensive care intensive care were the fact that they needed money to study, wanted more time for their interests and paid leave before the exams. Nurses have also been trained in lifelong learning. They most often used e-learning education. Most nurses have...

Dlouhodobá péče a neformální osoby pečující o klienty / Long-term care and non-formal persons caring the clients

VOSÁHLOVÁ, Aneta January 2019 (has links)
My diploma thesis "Long term care and non-formal caretakers caring for clients" deals with persons who provide long-term and non-formal care for seniors in the home environment. This diploma thesis is divided into two parts, one for theory and one for the research. The theoretical part deals with the long-term care and with a number, type, economic status of non-formal caretakers. There is also a brief passage about the care benefit in the context of long-term care. One chapter deals with services that might be useful for the non-formal caretakers. The aim of the research part is to identify the most severe difficulties that the non-formal caretakers face. There are two main questions in the research part, " What barriers let to the termination of the care of the non-formal caretakers?" and "What are the dilemmas of the non-formal caretakers when deciding the transfer to a social institution?" There is also a description of the method and techniques of a structured interview and its analysis. The research showed that the most severe difficulties are the lack of finances for the home-care, limited or unsuitable spaces for the long-term care, restrictions of the free time, health problems of the care-takers and high physical and psychological demands. The main reasons responsible for the ending of the care are high demands, health problems of the caretakers, and fears of the future. Another dilemma that has been proven is the necessity of choosing between career and providing of non-formal care.

Vlčková, Táňa January 2011 (has links)
This study is focused on actual problems, which came up after the new Social Services Act came into force on January 1, 2007 and its updating, from the view of one group of the user sof social services- seniors. In the thesis is important charter, which described restrictive measures issues. Legislation is inadequate in this direction and even in comparison with international rules, which deals mainly with the protection of human rights. Fortunately, the situation is improving and with increasing demands on social service facility level of care is improving rapidly. In this work we find an important chapter focused on the gentle self-defense, which uses techniques of Aikido martial arts in conjunction with the restrictive measures and self- defense, so that the intervention was friendly to the client, but also the most effective. The basis, however, is the desire to avoid any physical intervention of moderate means, such as distraction, and active listening are. I attend to this topic more in in recent years and I add my lecture on this subject in Annex I, which was intended for workers in social services. Because I attend to volunteering focused on the old people till my high school years, is this study mainly about them and their view of social services. It is generally prohibited any...

Vzdělávání sester v intenzivní péči / Education of nurses in intensive care

Klozová, Ivana January 2019 (has links)
For my diploma thesis I chose the topic of education of nurses in intensive care. In the field of nursing education, it was necessary to respond to new trends in the European Union. In recent years, the situation in the field of education has changed in many ways. Act No. 201/2017 Coll. it has brought a novelty that the credit system of education has been abolished and it is therefore possible to conclude that the motivation of nurses to education may have fallen. The theoretical part describes the history of intensive care in the world and in the Czech Republic. Mentioned is the history of nursing education in intensive care and the history of nursing education in the Czech Republic. The next chapter points to the current situation of intensive care, the requirements for qualification education of a nurse and the competence of a nurse specialist. The possibilities of intensive care education, including lifelong learning, are being announced. An integral part is the motivation chapter. The main aim of my thesis was to find out the motivation of nurses to specialize in intensive care. Subsequently, I then mapped the nurses' motivation to continue their education in lifelong learning. Research questions were chosen: 1.What preview do nurses themselves have from intensive care to specialized...

Přiznávání příspěvku na péči a proces kontroly jeho využívání u osob nad 18 let. / Entitlement to Attendance Allowance and control process over its usage in people aged 18 and over.

STANKOVÁ, Jana January 2009 (has links)
The thesis deals with attendance allowance and the control process over its usage in people aged 18 and over. Process of entitlement for attendance allowance is governed by the Act on Social Services. Attendance allowance is provided to people who, because of long-term adverse health condition, need assistance of another individual to care for them and to ensure their self-sufficiency. The purpose of this benefit is to enable the entitled person to ensure care and choose the provider of necessary assistance through providers of social services or related person. Local authority decides specified degree of dependence and also carries out checks of usage of the benefit. A proposal to amend the Act is currently being discussed with the aim to adjust the system of social services in a way to take into account findings from practice, in particular in the area of clear conditions of entitlement and use of the attendance allowance. The objective of the thesis is to find out impacts of upcoming changes in recipients of attendance allowance in the 1st degree of dependence and to make a survey of experience of social workers with checks of usage of the benefit. To achieve the objective a questioning method was used, the technique of semi-structured interview, secondary analysis of data and participant observation. The research has shown that in recipients in 1st degree of dependence the attendance allowance is paid in the amount which does not correspond to actual costs incurred to provide the assistance. It can therefore be assumed that reduction in the allowance would not endanger provision of necessary care. Interest in social services is not likely to increase by payment of the allowance in 1st degree of dependence by means of vouchers. Futhermore, it was found out that there are not any explicit methodical guidelines which would describe implementation of controls over usage of the allowance. More specific definition of control activities would enable to carry out controls more effectively and transparently. Implementation of more controls is possible only under the condition of increasing staff numbers of administrative authorities.
