The aim of this master’s thesis is to design a footbridge across a river. The main objective is design and analysis of a footbridge supported by a steel arch. Stress ribbon is suspended on steel arch using hangers. The analysis of the structure has been carried out using ANSYS 12.0 and Nemetschek SCIA 2011.1 software, design checks using EXCEL in accordance with Eurocodes. Time dependent analysis was considered.

Lávka pro pěší přes hluboké údolí / Footbridge across the deep valley

The aim of this thesis is the design and analysis of pedestrian bridge across the deep valley. There were designed three variants. The variant of structure, which combines stress ribbon with concrete arch, was chosen for the analysis. The optimal geometry was found using iteration methods with VBA Excel. The calculation model was made in software Ansys 19.0, considering phases of construction. The Ultimate limit state and the service limit state were evaluated as well as dynamic behavior of construction – modal analysis (eigenfrequencies and eigenshapes) and response to harmonic excitation. The design and assessment are according to the European standards.

Návrh předpjaté stropní konstrukce / Design of a prestressed slab

Diploma thesis is focused on the design of prestressed concrete membrane from the lightweight concrete. The concrete membrane is in the interaction with the bearing steel structure, which one is supported. I did only one variant of the solution, which was optimized. The goal of the design was determined the initial state of a membrane and ensure to in the end of design working life was the membrane in the compression state and the cracks couldn’t appear. The structure is modelled in the main (longitudinal) direction as a spatial frame in program ANSYS 17.2. This tool enables to perform analysis of the construction stages. The rheology is calculated manually and supplied to the model as relative strain. The whole structure is checked for ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state according to valid Eurocodes. Transverse direction is modelled by shell elements in program RFEM 5.12. Construction stages and global behaviour of the structure were analysed. The checks have been calculated manually and control in program IDEA StatiCa. The attachments of the thesis are drawings, visualisation and schemes of construction stages.

The chosen variant consists of a stress ribbon supported by a steel arches. Time dependent analysis of load cases effects during construction stages is calculated by ANSYS. The bridge is verified according to the European Standards.

The thesis is focused on the design and assessment of two variants of tanks for wwtp. For comparison, a reinforced concrete tank and a prestressed concrete tank were designed. The work includes a data accompanying report for the static calculation and a technical report on the construction, static calculation and drawing documentation of shapes and reinforcement. The calculation of internal forces on the structure was performed in the SCIA Engineer 18.1 calculation software.

The subject of this master’s thesis is to design an arch structure of a footbridge. The bridge deck will be formed by a stress ribbon and could be divided into three parts. The middle part will be suspended (on the outer edges) on composite steel and concrete arches. Outer parts of the bridge deck will be formed by stress ribbons. The model of this construction is created in a computational program ANSYS and the solution is non-linear. The design is according to European standards.
