In search of such understanding some questions have been raised: What is the contribution of informal partnerships in activating the knowledge that collaborates on professional development? Are these partnerships present in university culture? Thus, based on studies that deal with teacher training, this research has as theoretical reference: Freire (1996), Imbernon (2000), Fullan and Hargreaves (2000), Pérez Gómez (2001), Tardif and Lessard (2005), Nóvoa (2009), Forte and Flores (2009), Vaillant and Marcelo (2012), Sabino (2012), Mizukami (2013). It was chosen for a line of investigation a qualitative study with a semi-structured interview with nine Pedagogy course teachers of four universities. It was evidenced that informal and affinity partnerships have exercised large influence on professional and personal development bringing material and non-material interactions, new ways of work and new looks from the perception of the teaching partner; the concern with the formation of colleague and encouragement to Pedagogy students so that they learn to work in a collaborative way with their future peers; the necessity to give value to informal partnerships, the culture of collaboration and how they can be part of the institutional managers' view in higher teaching; the importance of stability in informal partnerships, not imposed by the institution as they may become unproductive, as propellant of professional development.
