Diploma thesis introduces two different options for property valuation. With an emphasis on the different ownership of the apartment building. In the first case, the building seen as a whole and used the combination of yield and cost method of valuation. In the second case, a building is divided into individual residential units and valued method of comparison. Both methods are conducted in accordance with Decree No. 3 / 2008 digest Implement certain provisions of Act No. 151/1997 digest., Valuation of property and amending certain laws, as amended (Decree valuation), as follows of the changes made by Decree No. 456/2008 digest. and No. 460/2009 digest. In conclusion, the following derived values were compared and evaluated.

This diploma work is dealing with problems related to production of electrical energy in compliance with environmental protection and assessment of its production from non-renewable sources in reference to sources being renewable. The work puts emphasis on the importance and utilization of solar electrical energy. The sun is a source that will not get dried or mined out and will not stop shining. The goal of diploma work was to appraise the investment effectiveness with regard to a photovoltaic power station and assess the power plant influence in relation to classic sources for energy production and environmental protection. Within the diploma work, there were appraised three variants of the investment project which assumed life time longer than 20 years comprising conventional financial flows, surface size of 30 000 m2 and roughly required output of 1.5 MW. Single options were assessed upon economical evaluation regarding different ways of financing, in terms of price, output and guarantees provided by suppliers including the assessment of grant influence on the project effectiveness. Based on these data, the most suitable version for the investment project of building up the photovoltaic power plant was chosen. At the conclusion, it is possible to state that the photovoltaic power plant is very considerate towards the living environment in contrast to classical sources for electrical energy production, for example coal-fired power plants which heavily contaminate the environment, and nuclear power plants with risks of radiation escapes.

An ever-decreasing cost of photovoltaics (PV) combined with generous installation subsidies lead to a growth of PV systems in Sweden. A large-scale penetration of PV power would make Energy Storage Systems (ESS) interesting for providing back-up storage, enabling flexibility and regulating intermittence. ESS represents a vital link between electrical supply and demand, and moreover a critical feature for increasing the use and attractiveness of renewable and intermittent energy sources. The purpose of this study is to do a quantitative analysis examining the most beneficial way to store electricity from PV regarding investment cost, life span, capacity and pay-off time. The study object is Valsätraskolan, a school in Uppsala with an existing PV system. The thesis shows that Lithium-ion batteries are the best prospected battery type but still not an economically profitable investment. With the current grid- and battery prices the most suitable battery solution has a pay-off time of 125 years. If the school would extend their PV system to cover all preferable roof areas, the pay-off time would be 48 years. If ESS are to become attractive from a financial point of view, the grid prices would have to increase and the cost for ESS decrease substantially.
