In Diploma thesis, the author addresses the issue of educating a pupil with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). In the introduction, she explains her choice of the theme. In the theoretical part the author presents muscular dystrophy, its course, manifestations, treatment options and support, based on a study of professional medical, pedagogical, psychological and specifically pedagogical literature, It will also describe the specifics of the disease in relation to education of pupils with Duchenne muscular dystrophy and will list the educational possibilities for pupils with this disease in the Czech Republic. In the practical part, the author presents a qualitative research conducted through the analysis of a case study of a particular pupil, from his passive as well as participating observation in the classroom, from semi-structured interviews with the pupil's mother, with his teachers and his teaching assistant, with this particular pupil with DMD and his classmates. In addition to this the analysis of school documents, SPC reports and medical reports are considered. The author evaluates the possibilities of education of pupils with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. This thesis deals with teachers' attitudes towards mental hygiene in a special primary school for pupils with severe and multiple disabilities. It aims to describe and understand attitudes towards mental hygiene at a cognitive, emotional and conative level. Theoretical part of the thesis describes special primary school, the profession of teachers, summarizes the theoretical knowledge of mental hygiene and defines attitude. The thesis further contains qualitative research, which uses the method of semi-structured interview and answers the research question. According to the results of the research, teachers in special primary school have positive attitudes towards mental hygiene at all levels. Their opinions, thoughts and ideas coincide with findings from professional literature. For the teachers, mental hygiene is associated with pleasant emotions. Thesis "Teacher assistant competences" responds to growing number of teacher assistants in educational system and reflects still remaining ambiguities in delineating requirements on assistants' services and activities. The objective of thesis is on the basis of empirical findings define the basic competences of teacher assistant working in a regular basic school. In its theoretical part thesis works with legislative norms specifying the role of teacher assistant and with findings of relevant researches. The explorative part of thesis is based on qualitatively orientated methodology and processes data from eighty interviews realized with assistants, teachers, principals and pupils with special educational needs from twenty basic mainstream schools. Data in research were processed by classification, coding and schematization with using the form of framework analysis. The aim of this dissertation is to describe the role of teaching assistants in the matter of support for pupils with barriers in learning at primary school. In the theoretical part, the main focus is on legislative anchoring of teaching assistant's position, on establishing the responsibilities and the content of teaching assistant's work, on methodical support which is provided by schools' headmasters or particular organisations, on support for teachers and on discovered benefits that are secured by the role of teaching assistant. Everything mentioned is placed in contrast with the scholar system in Great Britain, especially with the way the local authorities deal with the post of teaching assistant. The empirical part of the dissertation explore the cooperation of teaching assistant and teacher by using the method of in-depth interview with teaching assistants and observation their work in class. The result of the dissertation is showing the evidence of teaching assistant's importance in educational process and his/her help and support for teacher. In this thesis, the theoretical introduction firstly reviews Asperger's syndrome using available scientific resources. Secondly, we discuss major impacts and parameters of the integration process in a general perspective. The empirical part is fosuced on two case studies describing integration of two students who were diagnosed with Asperger syndrome. Data collection was based on direct observation, interview, databases and information from experts. The results and conclusions shall help to improve pegagogical skills of teachers. Furthermore the thesis shall serve as a source of information and guideline for parents, for whom the sufficient education is very essential.

The topic of the thesis is the role of the teacher's assistant in inclusive education from the perspective of a teacher at elementary school. The aim is to find out how teachers perceive the position of teacher's assistant in the education of pupils with special educational needs. The theoretic part deals with basic and inclusive education, including relevant legislation, support measures, defining the position of teacher's assistant, his / her competences, job description and possibilities of cooperation with the class teacher. The empirical part analyzes interviews with class teachers who teach a pupil with special educational needs and thanks to they can cooperate with teacher assistants. Everything is complemented with findings from the observation of the activities of the teacher's assistant in the given class. At the end of the thesis, research questions are answered and some suggestions are defined. The research shows that the teacher's assistant is a necessary support in the classroom especially for pupils with mental disabilities.

This study is focused on the process of integration at preschool institutions. It builds upon structural descriptions of particular cases in order to showcase efficient and beneficial cases, describe risks and specifics of this level of education. This thesis aims to map particular cases of integration of children with disabilities, characterize the current developments of integration at general kindergartens.

Vzájemná spolupráce učitele 1. ročníku ZŠ a asistenta pedagoga / Teacher and the teacher's assistant's mutual cooperation in the first year of studies at primary school

The topic of this dissertation is the case study which is concerned with the cooperation of the teacher and the teacher's assistant in the process of education of the first class' pupils at primary school. Theoretic part is collected knowledge from the professional literature. There are described possibilities of pupils' support at the beginning of the compulsory education and the role of the teacher's assistant under the terms of this support. The text also includes the position of the teacher's assistant in legislation and the work of personal assistant. I paid attention to ethical and other problems which are connected with the work of teacher's assistant. In empirical part is processed the case study of the first class at quite common elementary school. It was caught the progress and the changes of teacher and teacher's assistant's cooperation in the term of one year. Collecting of the information was made by the form of observation, field research, dialogues and questionnaires. The cooperation between teacher and the teacher's assistant was not under way I expected. I think that on the basis of acquired experience the teacher's assistant did not pay attention to pupils enough time. This Diploma thesis dealing with the author's creation was written in relation to human personality. The goal of the thesis is to determine student's motivation to author's reading. Further goal is a description of student's needs and area of progress of their personality. The thesis is divided into two parts - a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part the author describes the author's reading, including self - reflection and psychosomatics condition. Further there is description of human personality generally and also description of teacher's personality with focus on teacher's motivation, personality trait and voluntary characteristics, self - regulation characteristics - self-awareness, self-knowledge, self-assessment, self-criticism, conscience, self-concept and self-concept. Last part of theoretical part is about dynamical characteristics, temperament, performance characteristics and special characteristics. The practical part is basically a qualitative study which is further divided into two parts. The first part is concerned with analysis of semistructured interviews, the second part with analysis of student's self-reflections. Summary and comparison of the research results and author's own case study are at the end of the thesis. Subject of discussion is comparison to results of Bachelor thesis (2015) and results currently research.
