The venue for the opening of the World Cup Soccer FIFA 2014 undergoes physical and symbolic, able to rearrange the socio-cultural practices and representations that workers have the stadium neighborhood transformations. This study will be guided by research that addresses the Processes of reception and socio-cultural contexts articulated consumption , seeking from the theoretical field that follows the transit of modernity and post-modernity analyze the narratives of the workers of the Arena Corinthians line, mapping the imagined that these workers produce Itaquera and interpreting these perceptions from the field of Communication and Consumption. The research is organized into a theoretical framework divided into two parts, the first being the theoretical framework divided into three topics: Chapter 1, contextualizing modernity and the presence of their signs in the Itaquera neighborhood. In Chapter 2, describing the theme of post-modernity and the presence of their signs in that neighborhood and concluding the theoretical framework in Chapter 3, combining entertainment business practices and consumer Itaquera. The second part of this thesis mobilizes the empirical, milestone involved two processes: The first details the entire methodological approach to the construction of the research and field work. The second process is focused on the analysis of the narratives of the workers by the theoretical framework, synthesizing a theoretical reflection about authors and more crucial to interpret the reading that the workers produce in contemporary urban scene Itaquera concepts. With this theoretical and empirical contribution, this dissertation will examine the representations of the urban scene Itaquera neighborhood from the narratives of the workers working in the Arena Corinthians, showing the physical and symbolic transformations contextualized by the construction of the stadium that will host the opening of the World Cup Football World Cup 2014. / Esta dissertação propõe o estudo sobre as transformações no bairro de Itaquera a partir das narrativas dos operários que trabalham na construção da Arena Corinthians. O local escolhido para a abertura da Copa do Mundo de Futebol da FIFA de 2014 passa por transformações físicas e simbólicas, capazes de reorganizar as práticas socioculturais e as representações que os trabalhadores do estádio têm do bairro. Este estudo será direcionado pela linha de pesquisa que aborda os Processos de recepção e contextos socioculturais articulados ao consumo , buscando a partir do campo teórico que segue o trânsito da modernidade e pós-modernidade analisar as narrativas dos operários da Arena Corinthians, mapeando os imaginários que estes trabalhadores produzem de Itaquera e interpretando estas percepções a partir do campo da Comunicação e Consumo. A pesquisa está organizada em uma estrutura teórica dividida em duas partes, sendo a primeira o marco teórico dividido em três tópicos: Capítulo 1, contextualizando a modernidade e a presença de seus signos no bairro de Itaquera. No capítulo 2, descrevendo a temática da pós-modernidade e a presença de seus signos no referido bairro e concluindo o marco teórico no Capítulo 3, articulando o entretenimento e as práticas e consumo em Itaquera. A segunda parte desta dissertação mobiliza o marco empírico, estruturado em dois processos: O primeiro detalha todo o percurso metodológico de construção da pesquisa e o trabalho de campo. O segundo processo está centralizado nas análises das narrativas dos trabalhadores pelo marco teórico, sintetizando uma reflexão teórica acerca dos autores e conceitos mais determinantes para interpretar a leitura que os operários produzem da cena urbana atual de Itaquera. Com este aporte teórico e empírico, esta dissertação analisará as representações da cena urbana do bairro de Itaquera a partir das narrativas dos operários que trabalham na Arena Corinthians, evidenciando as transformações físicas e simbólicas contextualizadas pela construção do estádio que será palco da abertura da Copa do Mundo de Futebol da FIFA de 2014.
