31 pp. / Many pests encountered in homes and structures can be prevented by using simple techniques collectively known as “pest-proofing”. If done correctly, pest-proofing your home saves you money by reducing pest management costs, and more importantly, reduces potential pesticide exposure. This publication describes general indoor and outdoor pest-proofing measures and some of the major pests encountered in and around homes and structures.

The title of this Diploma Thesis is Strategy Analysis of the Enterprise. Subject of the Thesis is to analyse the current status of Zlichovec Brewery and to propose suitable strategy for further developing the Brewery in future. Method of the external and internal environment analysis is applied in the Thesis. Theoretical/methodical factors defining individual analyses is included in the first part of the thesis whereas practical application of the indentified findings on the respective Brewery is described in the second part. Based on the results debated in the second part thereof, evaluation of the existing strategy is provided and eventual changes in order to improve development of the Enterprise or to modify its strategy respectively are formulated.

In my thesis I was concentrated on analysis and comparison of two business enviromets in the Slovak and Czech republic. The goal was to point out the differences of these two business enviroments and on the other side to find out what is similar for both countries. Comparison of both enviroments is based on PEST analysis, in which I was concentrated on key economic trends such as GDP, rate of inflation a unemployment. Moreover I compared tax systems and programs to support small and medium-sized companies of both countries. Finally I described results of research which was undertaken on particular companies.

The linkage relationship and arm location of the gene for greenbug resistance in the variety Will was determined by using primary trisonomics and tertiary trisomic homozygous translocations. The gene for greenbug resistance was found to be on linkage group 1 by using primary trisonomics. The gene was located on the cetromere segment of the Tl-6a translocation by using a tertiary trismoic homozygous for greenbug resistance. The data further substantiates the feasibility of using trisomics in placing genes on proper linkage groups.
