Návrh podnikového finančního plánu / A Draft of a Corporate Financial Plan

This diploma thesis is focused on designing a financial plan for the business. Theoretical framework about the financial planning in the business sphere is presented in the first part. The following part introduces the company which was chosen as an object of the thesis from the real business environment. It also deals with the financial analysis of the current state of the company. After that, the financial plan for years 2017 – 2019 is presented in both optimistic and pessimistic variants. The results are analyzed and the plan is evaluated in the last part of the thesis.

This master thesis deals with the analysis of current system of control and state of control in company PREMO Ltd. The SWOT analysis is processed in strategic planning, followed by Porter's Five Forces Model. To assess the economic situation there are selected indicators used of operational planning for the last 3 years, then evaluate the processes of Marketing and Sales and Altman Index and Du Pont Analysis. The result of controlling will be the implementation of the controller, defining his obligations and responsibilities. The second proposal is dealt with improving the internal processing of information using the reporting.

Integrating Retail into an Urban Data Platform from a Stakeholder Perspective: Network Approaches in Leipzig (Germany)

Growth rates in e-commerce, changing consumer behaviors, and COVID-19 have all put pressure on local retailers worldwide, threatening the resilience of city centers. Local online platforms (LOPs) have been considered as a solution to help local retailers increase their visibility and survive on the market. However, most platforms fail to attract a significant number of stakeholders. Simultaneously, digital platform solutions with more holistic urban perspectives, such as urban data platforms (UDPs), have emerged. However, a question remains: how can the integration of retail data (e.g., product availabilities) into a UDP succeed? Therefore, in this paper, we explore stakeholder-oriented networking processes to integrate local retail data into a UDP in Leipzig, Germany. Leipzig has increased its population by 26% since 2000, but presents the highest retail vacancy rate, compared to other major German cities. To investigate the networking process in Leipzig, we conduct a social network analysis which combines qualitative interviews, mapping, and ethnographic research. We interview ten stakeholders and uncover conflicts within the networking process: First, all stakeholders have different understandings of UDPs and how to integrate local retail data; second, the interviewees acknowledge the importance of, but none of them feel responsible for, initiating or managing the process; and third, the city administration has shown diverging interest, in terms of taking on more responsibility.

A Delphi Study to Identify Best Practices for Rural Community Engagement in Transportation Planning

Public involvement is defined as a two-way communication aimed at providing information to the public and incorporating the views, concerns, and issues of the public in transportation decision making. According to U.S. Census data, 60% of U.S. counties are considered rural. Rural communities face unique challenges such as scarce resources, technological and geographical issues, and demographic shifts, which can limit effective engagement capabilities. Engagement strategies that are effective for urbanized and metropolitan areas may not be as effective for these rural communities. This study employed a mixed methods research approach to identify readily deployable practices for meaningful rural community engagement in transportation planning. The research methodology involves a literature review, interviews with supervisors from offices of community transportation, interviews with 24 community leaders in four case communities in Tennessee, and two rounds of Delphi community survey. The research process brought together all key stakeholders to build a true consensus of best practices to engage rural communities in transportation planning. Data analysis showed rural communities feel detached and unaware of the role of Departments of Transportation (DOT) in and their plans for community transportation. Engaging rural communities using social media and conducting virtual meetings can reach wider sections of the community. Lack of consistent internet coverage in rural communities, however, means this type of outreach cannot replace in-person engagement. Securing the support of community leaders, building partnerships, and having a presence in the community will increase trust in DOTs and foster better engagement. A list of recommendations is provided that will enhance rural community engagement for longrange transportation planning in predominantly rural states.

The thesis deals with the strategic analysis of external and internal environment of Retre, s. r. o., which operates on the czech market in the field of laundering. The main line of business is laundering, smoothing and collecting of textile and clothing for chemical cleaning. The theoretical part describes basic terms necessary for understanding of broader connections. Terms like strategic management, strategy, strategic thinking etc. are defined here. In a separate chapter there is a description of the process of marketing research , of gathering of the necessary information (marketing information system) and the description of the individual analyses of external and internal environment. In the practical part the company Retre, s. r. o -- laundry and drycleaner's is analysed using these individual analyses. Based on the gathered information, its current situation and its position on the market is assesed and suitable measures for improvement are proposed.

Next part of the thesis introduces the investment project and its parameters in line with the investor's strategy. Last part of the thesis is dedicated to the evaluation of the financial plan and a sensitivity analysis.
