Cloud based platform for real time Gait analysis : System component: Mobile architecture

Svensson, Tim January 2017 (has links)
Today gait analysis are performed in laboratories with expensive equipment and people must visit the labs to perform several supervised tests. The goal of this project is to develop a platform enables gait analysis with the accelerometer sensor in a mobile phone. This would allow more people to do gait analysis, as smart phones are widely available and cheap equipment compared to lab equipments. In order to solve this task a mobile application and a cloud server was created. The mobile application can gather data from the internal accelerometer sensor and a medical grade sensor simultaneously and send the data to the cloud server. When two sensors are used the symmetry between the left foot and the right foot can be measured, although the system works with only one sensor aswell. On the cloud server the accelerometer data is analysed and gait analysis is done on the data and visualized on a web page. The mobile application can collect data for 4 hours at a sampling rate of 120Hz and two sensors are used. When sending data collected from two sensors to the cloud at a sampling rate of 120 Hz the amount of data is approximately 21.96 Mb/h. The goal of the project was to create a proof-of-concept platform to do gait analysis and that goal was fullled and a fully functional platform was developed.

Evolution tectono-sédimentaire du système carbonaté "Plateforme Apulienne - Bassin Ionien" au Crétacé supérieur dans le sud de l'Albanie : faciès, géométries, diagénèse et propriétés réservoirs associées / Tectono-sedimentary evolution of the carbonate system 'Apulian Platform - Ionian Basin' during the Late Cretaceous in South Albania : facies, geometries, diagenesis and associated reservoir properties

Le Goff, Johan 07 July 2015 (has links)
The evolution of tropical carbonate platforms depends on complex interacting factors influencing the sedimentation, such as tectonism, climate, eustacy, hydrodynamism etc… Due to this complexity, it has been of scientific interest for decades. Carbonate platforms are not only prone to accumulate sediments, but also represent prolific carbonates “factories” producing more than they can store on their tops. Excess sediments are shed basinward. Platform-to-basin transitions exemplify interactions between in-situ carbonate production, transfer and sedimentary accumulations resulting from re-sedimentation. In south-west Albania, the Upper Cretaceous carbonate series are made up of platform and basinal deposits. Sedimentary successions are presently integrated in the Dinarides-Hellenides fold-and thrust belt that originate from a Plio-Holocene phase of the Alpine Orogeny. The paleogeographic setting during the Late Cretaceous reveals a juxtaposition of mega-platforms and adjacent basins, partly filled with sediments derived from the shelf edge. Our scientific investigations focused on five study areas. Macro- and microfacies descriptions are provided for eight platform and basin successions. Sedimentary units are defined and mapped on each study area, supporting the stratigraphic reconstruction of the system. Dating is based on biostratigraphy and supported by strontium-isotope data. Regarding platform deposits, facies descriptions are seconded by complementary methods of petrography (cathodoluminescence, epifluorescence, scanning electron microscopy), petrophysics (mercury intrusion porosimetry), and geochemistry (stable carbon and oxygen isotopes), aiming to precise the sedimentation dynamics and reservoir properties of the succession. The sedimentation conditions are specified: i) within the platform, ten specific facies are identified, precising the depositional setting that comprise supra-, inter- and subtidal environments. These facies are integrated in distinctive stacking patterns (small-scale-sequences) pointing to a cyclic sedimentary dynamic controlled by high-frequency and low-amplitude sea level changes; ii) the basinal deposits comprise fourteen facies classified according to the dominant grain-support mechanism. Spatial distribution of the deposits allowed identifying the provenance and preferential sources of calciclatic sediments. The tectono-sedimentary evolution of the platform-to-basin system during the Late Cretaceous can be subdivided into two sequences: i) from the Cenomanian to the Turonian, the platform sedimentation is characterized by a substantial aggradation (700 meters) of intertidal small-scale sequences. No significant transfer was evidenced in the adjacent Ionian Basin, pointing to stable conditions in a subsiding context; ii) the Coniacian-Santonian interval evidences the establishment of a rudist platform massively shedding sediments basinward during the Campanian. A clear progradation of gravity-flow deposits is attested during this period. During the Upper Campanian and Maastrichtian, this transfer is accentuated by the setting of tectonically-triggered slumps resulting from the dismantling of the platform edge.

Porovnání open source BI platforem / Open Source BI Platforms Comparison

Jedlička, Tomáš January 2011 (has links)
Diploma thesis focuses on open source business intelligence platforms. The main aim of this thesis is to compare open source BI platforms Pentaho BI Suite and Jaspersoft BI Suite using a set of criteria on the example of the solution for a fictive company. In order to achieve this goal, the research for criteria in already existing comparisons is made firstly and on the basis of this own comparative criteria and their weights are defined. Then important features of platforms under the BI solution primary layers are characterized. In the conclusion both platforms are evaluated and compared according to the result values of all criteria. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with the analysis and definition of criteria and the BI platform introduction. Used criteria are analyzed in the Gartner research, in the book about business intelligence and in two diploma theses. Own defined criteria are divided into following groups: Installation, ETL, OLAP, Reporting and Documentation. The introduction includes description of components, licence politics and available editions. In the practical part the platform functionality is tested, the project created in both of them is specified and then platforms are evaluated and compared. The functionality testing is made progressively from installation, through ETL and OLAP to reporting. The main aim of this thesis is completed in the last chapter of the practical part, where both platforms are evaluated according to the set of defined criteria, first of all under the BI solution primary layers and then also from general point of view. Here is used the weighted sum method from the multi-criteria decision analysis. The contribution of this thesis is in the transparent confrontation of two open source BI platforms, in the definition of the comparative criteria set and also in the presentation of all tools strengths and weaknesses including screenshots.

Analýza vlivu konvencí na použitelnost UI / An Analysis of the Impact of UI Conventions on Usability

Toušek, Pavel January 2011 (has links)
This thesis focuses on the impact of user interface's compliance with different platform conventions on usability measures and user habits. Theoretical background is provided by usability guidelines and preceding research papers on related topics. Conducted research incorporates techniques of unmoderated remote usability testing for obtaining quantitative data on usability of three different prototypes of the same web application with different graphical user interfaces. Confirmatory data analysis proves differences between prototypes' usability measures, more importantly, it proves utilization of different user habits in each tested visual interface type. These results broaden the knowledge of user habits in relation to the interface environment.

Software Testing Platform Development and Implementation / Vývoj a implementace testovací platformy

Burian, Vojtěch January 2012 (has links)
The quality is probably the most significant property of a successful software product. As experience with many software projects has already shown, leaving out testing and quality management from software development process can result in vast and critical customer issues, which usually invoke additional expenses for the software production company. In the course of time, software testing as a discipline has therefore seized an important position among other software development activities. And due to the fact that the software, thanks to rising customer demands and growing competing products portfolio, is getting more complex, the more advanced software testing procedures need to be implemented. Test strategy and iteration planning, implementation of multiple test types into the test suite, test automation, evaluation, administration and maintenance: these activities are commonly required within larger software development projects. Formalized software testing is, nevertheless, being introduced also to projects using agile management techniques which, by management decision or target user industry, are supposed to deliver products of highest quality. This initiates the high focus on the software testing discipline. The purpose of this thesis is to design and implement a new system of software testing within a real project in the CertiCon a.s. company, for which software development is the main business activity. Current issues and gaps for possible improvement, gathered both by project management and the author himself, are analyzed in the first major part of this work and transformed into testing system requirements, which should cover both process changes as well as implementation/development of needed software supporting the process. The second part of thesis is covering the design of the new software testing system, focusing mainly on the area of test management and selection of appropriate software management tool. The final part of the thesis is aimed at implementation of the designed solution within a real organization environment and evaluates its benefits against the previously set requirements.
