Aims to analyze , from a pragmatic point of view, the Sermon on the Mount metaphors recorded in Matthew's gospel in order to assess the univocal ; single meaning attributed to a term and / or plurivocity ; various meanings attributed to terms , these figures of speech . The analysis proposed here considers 18 metaphors found in the Sermon on the Mount , grouped from the sense of similarities between them. Related to this, the Bible as literature enumerating the different historical interpretations of biblical metaphorical text and the production context of the Sermon on the Mount . / Esta dissertação, inicialmente, expõe três visões teóricas a respeito da metáfora: a retórica, a semântica e a conceitual e destaca os valores comunicativos dessa figura de linguagem. Tem como objetivo analisar, do ponto de vista pragmático, as metáforas do Sermão do Monte registrado no evangelho de Mateus a fim de avaliar a univocidade; único sentido atribuído a um termo e/ou a plurivocidade; diversos sentidos atribuídos a um termo, dessas figuras de linguagem. A análise aqui proposta considera 18 metáforas encontradas no Sermão do monte, agrupadas a partir das semelhanças de sentido entre elas. Relaciona, para isso, a Bíblia como literatura enumerando as diferentes interpretações históricas do texto metafórico bíblico e o contexto de produção do Sermão do monte.
