First part of diploma thesis outlines road transport, its development and social significance. It describes issues of road transport in relationship to environment and influence on human health. It further informs about process of assessment influences on environment (EIA) and about post-project analysis of influences to environment. Discusses goals and issues within these two interdependent processes. Second part is focused on the city Pilsen itself and its constructed motorway bypass. It evaluates efficiency of applied measures moderating negativ impact of construction on evironment and human health. Further examines efficiency of motorway bypass, if it fulfilled its purpose. So, whether managed divert significant part of transport from motorway D5 outside city Pilsen. Other area of research is noise and emission ballast around previous motorway route through the city Pilsen.

URBAN TOURISM IN A REGIONAL CENTRE PLZEŇ AS A CASE STUDY Abstract The main themes of this thesis are urban tourism in important regional centre Plzeň, its present situation, tourism potential and future development. The aim of this assignment is to survey tourism in Plzeň. The preamble is devoted to general problems of tourism, methods for processing and evaluation of bibliography. The content of the next chapters describes assumptions and subsequently forms of tourism and their possible future potential. During a field research questionnaire survey with accommodation operators was made, which is evaluated in several parts of this work. The final section contains an evaluation of the issue. This diploma thesis briefly describes the situation in the region of Plzeň throughout the period between the signature of the Munich Agreement and the end of the Second World War in the background of the international events and with special emphasis on everyday life. It also monitors the course of events in the field of domestic resistance and its cooperation with the foreign representatives; it provides a list of resistance movement organizations operating in the region of Plzeň. The majority of the thesis deals with the resistance movement in the district of Nýřany, which has been a part of the Plzeň - North district since 1960. This part of the thesis describes not only the organized resistance movement (the communist and the democratic one) but also the spontaneous actions performed by the individuals. The thesis depicts the story of several people who participated in the resistance movement against the Nazis and whose lives were deeply affected by the Nazi persecution. The aim of the thesis is to point out the domestic resistance situation in the background of the above-mentioned stories in the industrial area of Nýřany.

The target of this dissertation is the determinativ of positives and negative sof chosen companies in the specified region, and namely in two wals -- in relation to the company impal into the region and in relation to the region impact into the company. The pracitcal part of this work is focused on companies Dioss Nýřany, a.s., MD Elmont, s.r.o. and Lasselsberger, s.r.o. Possible positives and negatives are in this work determined across the sectors and region types. They are structured into the groups of "economic", "social" and "environmental" aspects. The work contains the komplete characteristics of chosen companies and as an integral part of this work there i salso the komplete characteristics of chosen region.

The aim of the diploma thesis is to determine the value in use of the company Stock Plzeň-Božkov s.r.o. to 1.1.2009. The thesis consists of 5 parts -- financial analysis, strategic analysis, generators of value and financial plan. The value of the company is determined by the method DCF entity. There are 3 scenarios of future development (pessimistic, realistic, optimistic).

The diploma thesis is dedicated to the development and maintenance of the central heating supply system in Plzeň. The first part of the thesis is devoted to a brief overview of the city's history and to the development of the energy sector and the beginnings of the construction of energy sources producing thermal energy in Plzeň. The next part contains the analysis of the administrative development of heat sources and the history of their construction in the city. In the middle of the 19th century, important industrial enterprises started to establish their first own energy sources. The energy source of the Škoda Plzeň plant, which was one of the first in the city, also used to heat the city's flats after the World War II and later incorporated into the central heating system. In order to supply heat, the city began to build heating plants in several parts of the city in the late 60s of the 20th century and followed this process with the construction of a central heating source in the early 70s. The last part of the thesis deals with the period after privatisation, when the legal form of business was changed and the Plzeňská teplárenská a. s. joint-stock company was established. This diploma thesis is about the post-war retribution on all its levels, from international military tribunals in Nuremberg and Tokyo to work of two extraordinary people's courts in Plzeň and Most, of whose activity the text applies. The text aims on women, because previous theses were mostly focused on men, which hold the more important position in the Nazi regime. On account of different roles of both sexes there is a diverse structure of committed crimes - the most frequented type of crimes for men were crimes against the state, while in a women's case it was denunciation. This fact could be partly explained by lesser possibilities of women for direct using of a repressive apparatus of the regime. The aim of the thesis is to bring in a comparison of activity of both mentioned courts against women. Main difference between those two regions is that the most of the Plzeň region was in Czech inland, but the Most area was located in the borderlands with a German majority. We could say that the result for this fact was higher rigidity of the Extraordinary People's Court in Plzeň that exceeded the second court in both percentage of sentences and rigidity of punishments. This diploma thesis focuses on tackling the issue of in-prison rehabilitation and some related factors. The diploma thesis focuses particularly on the specific problems with social rehabilitation during imprisonment and the related programmes. The thesis gives an overview of social rehabilitation and social work. Close attention is paid to social rehabilitation, treatment programmes and social work. Theoretical knowledge is applied in practical use - a questionnaire survey from Plzeň Prison. The survey results show prisoners' opinions on social rehabilitation and treatment programmes.

Title: Creation and verification of educational programs for students of lower secondary education in ZOO Pilsen The diploma thesis is focused on the ZOOs in the Czech Republic and their educational activities. The most examined one is Zoological and botanical garden in Pilsen, for which I created two educational programs including worksheets for students and teachers. The educational programs were then tested at a selected group of students from 8th grade of lower secondary school. The evaluation was based on the success of students in solving tasks in the worksheets. The practical output of this thesis are designed educational programs (methodology for teacher) and worksheets for ZOO Pilsen (programs Mysterious Africa, Far Australia) including correct solution.

In my thesis I deal with a history of Jewish community in the town of Pilsen from 1853 till 1918. I am concerned with political, social and mainly economic and national changes in this period. I try to describe the relationship between Czechs and Jews in the town. My information had been obtained from the available literature, archival sources and period local press.
