Vztah vybraných ukazatelů nutričního stavu a výsledků léčby chemoterapií a operací u karcinomů jícnu / Relationship of selected indicators of nutritional status and results of oesophageal cancer treatment with chemoradiotherapy and surgery

Zemanová, Milada January 2011 (has links)
The impact was assessed of clinical and nutritional factors on prognosis of 107 oesophageal cancer patients treated with neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (CHRT) and surgery. Individualised nutritional support, according to grade of dysphagia was carried out in all the patients. Serum leptin, soluble leptin receptors (SLR), TNF, IGF and fatty acid (FA) profiles in plasma phosphatidylcholine (PC) were studied as well. Addition of paclitaxel to carboplatin and continual fluorouracil significantly increased toxicity without influencing efficacy of the treatment. Post-operative node negativity, grade of dysphagia, weight loss and serum albumin were proved to be prognostic factors of survival and time to progression. CHRT led to decrease of SLR, palmitoleic and oleic acid and increase of n-3 polyunsaturated FA in PC. Lower concentrations of SLR were associated with improved survival of the patients. Key words: oesophageal cancer, neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy, weight loss, paclitaxel, albumin, soluble leptin receptor, fatty acids

Daňové příjmy obcí v době hospodářské krize / Municipal tax revenues during the economic crisis.

Hartmann, Petr January 2010 (has links)
The thesis analyses the real estate tax in the municipalities of Řevnice, Lety, Dobřichovice, Čisovice and Všenory during the period 2009 -- 2011. It focuses on the legal powers by which the municipalities may affect the amount of property tax revenue and the extent of their application. Moreover, there is an analysis evaluating the possibility of gaining an additional income from the property tax, in order to offset the deficit caused by the financial or economic crisis. The thesis is divided into four chapters. In the first chapter, there are listed the characteristics of income municipalities, the second chapter is devoted to property tax with an emphasis on the legislative framework; in the third chapter, there is an analysis of property tax revenue in the above listed municipalities, and the final chapter presents and summarizes the analysis results.

Statické řešení bazénu v novostavbě horského hotelu / Static solution of swimming pool in new mountain hotel building

Krtička, Jakub January 2014 (has links)
The static solution at the new building mountain hotel The thesis deals with design and static calculation of pool tank, which is supported by columns and walls. Pool tank is designed as swimming pool with plan dimension 25 x 10 meters and with changing depth from 1,2 to 1,8 meters. The support of pool tank is in distance 5,02 x 5,05 meters. The adjacent ceiling is placed on the walls of tank and separates pool and technical areas. The calculations of inner forces were realized by computational programm for two models a) without decline of supports, and model b) with decline of supports. The design of reinforcement is performed for the bottom and walls of tank. The deformations modeling was made at the other part of the thesis. All results were evaluated and summarized at the conclusion. Drawing documentation was made subsequently.

Využití umělé inteligence na kapitálových trzích ke snížení rizika obchodování / The use of artificial intelligence in the capital markets to reduce the risks of trading

Orság, Štěpán January 2016 (has links)
This thesis deals with the prediction of trading at financial markets and by using the prediction is trying to reduce the risks of entering at the market. The prediction has been work out by using of artificial intelligence. The artificial intelligence is in this thesis represented by neural networks witch model and predict market behavior. The thesis contains a description of the financial markets, exchange trading and its analysis, and artificial intelligence methods. The main part of this thesis is a model for prediction of prices of a particular instrument. This model was developed in MATLAB and should serve as a support for making business decisions. Its aim is to predict the direction and magnitude of movement the price level for the next trading day. The output of this model is processed using the platform MetaTrader 4. At the end are evaluated possible gains from this solution.

Objemové změny astrocytů u alfa-syntrofin deficientních myší / Astrocyte volume changes in alpha-syntrophin deficient mice

Mikešová, Michaela January 2012 (has links)
(EN) The formation of brain oedema, which accompanies ischemic or traumatic brain injuries, originates from a disruption of ionic/neurotransmitter homeostasis that leads to extracellular K+ elevation and neurotransmitter accumulation in the extracellular space. An increased uptake of these osmotically active substances, predominantly provided by astrocytes, is accompanied by intracellular water accumulation via aquaporin-4 (AQP4). Since it has been shown that the removal of perivascular AQP4 via the deletion of α- syntrophin, which is the protein responsible for anchoring AQP4 on the astrocytic membrane (Neely et al. 2001), delays oedema formation and K+ clearance (Amiry-Moghaddam et al. 2003), we aimed to elucidate how the alpha-syntrophin deletion affects astrocyte volume changes in the cortex during pathological states, such as hypoosmotic stress or oxygen- glucose deprivation (OGD), using three-dimensional (3D) confocal morphometry in situ. In order to visualize individual astrocytes that lack alpha-syntrophin, double transgenic mice (GFAP/EGFP/α-Syn-/- ) were generated by crossbreeding GFAP-EGFP mice with α- syntrophin knockout mice. 3D-confocal morphometry revealed that alpha-syntrophin deletion did not alter astrocyte swelling during hypoosmotic stress or their recovery in isotonic solution;...

Efektivita reklamních sdělení dle umístění v různých mediatypech z perspektivy mladých konzumentů médií / Effectivity of advertising in different types of media in perspective of young media consumers

Sloupová, Barbora January 2021 (has links)
The presence of social media, the growing base of their users and the time they spend on them fundamentally changes the process of media consumption before the emergence of Web 2.0. Instagram is one of these social networks, whose popularity is still growing. Another of the platforms, which was primarily created to connect people with each other and make it easier for them to communicate with each other, is now, thanks to its demonstrable potential to reach many people, an advertising space that advertisers use extensively. Social media has thus expanded the offer of advertising channels used so far to address the target publication, including lifestyle magazines. Together, these two types of media are the representatives of traditional and new media which are resemble each other for its type of content they offer. They both serve as an entertaining tool for the readers. The questions that this work seeks to answer are whether young users who were born or partially grew up in the digital age are beside being Internet users on a daily bases from an early age also readers of press, in this case, specifically lifestyle magazines. Second question is how they perceive advertising in both types of these media and which of these two is more suitable for advertising placement. Even though young people...

Čtyři eseje o finanční stabilitě / Four Essays on Financial Stability

Jakubík, Petr January 2012 (has links)
Recent episodes of financial instability have motivated researchers as well as policy makers to intensify research on financial stability. This thesis contributes to current research and policy discussion by elaborating and empirically testing methodologies, which can be used to measure financial sector vulnerabilities and identify potential risks for financial stability. It further focuses on the link between real and the financial sector as well as possible implications of household financial distress on the aggregate economy. Together with the proposed framework we provide the survey of the current literature on these topics as well as the empirical results. We argue in favour of stress testing methodologies covering the key risks on banks' balance sheets. These frameworks can also be used for emerging markets where data availability is typically limited. It is shown that due to high volatility of credit growth in emerging economies, the static approach assuming constant balance sheet items is not very appropriate. Furthermore, the feedback effect between the financial sector and the real economy might play an important role under certain assumptions, and therefore it should be taken into account by policy makers. This effect can also emerge in the real sector itself as potential instability can...
