K problematice pokroku / to problem of progress

Balák, Ondřej January 2018 (has links)
The present thesis deals with the concept of progress and faith in progress as well as changes of this notion in selected historical periods and philosophies. The topic of progress and perception thereof is extensive and problematic in many cases, e. g. with regards to the existence of this idea in the thought of Antique, or with regards to what might have been perceived as progress through the optics of Christianity. It becomes apparent that the concept of progress is even today fluid in it's interpretation, invested with political and economical connotation and, in somewhat unstable postmodern discourse, allows for many interpretations. At the same time it is becoming clearer and clearer that in the context of the current global situation, any discussion about progress whatsoever would be incomplete, unless it also adequately stressed ecological topics. A true progress for the future seems to be abandoning the set ways of consumerism and of exploitation of natural resources. Key words: progress, regress, procursus, faith in progress, myth

Hodnocení genetického pokroku ve šlechtění prasat plemene pietrain

Doupal, Jaroslav January 2015 (has links)
The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the genetic progress in the breeding of pietrain pigs. The evaluation was conducted on the indicators of reproduction and production traits. Data for monitoring progress were derived from the hybridization program of the Czech Republic for the period 2000 -- 2014. For the evaluation were used 2865 births, 2368 values for gilts and 2387 for young boars. The results show that the level of reproduction has increased from 8,70 to 9,30 live born piglets (+6.98%). Growth ability is worse, the decrease in the average daily gain in gilts is from 606 g to 557 g (--8.08%) and the decrease in young boars is from 647 g to 626 g (--3.25%). During the reporting period the conformation breed increased for gilts from 62.1 % to 65.2 % lean meat (+3.32%) and for young boars from 63.8 % to 66.2 % lean meat (+3.76%). According to the breeding goals for 2020 both of the monitoring indicators did not reach the desired values. In breeding of this breed will be needed to improve especially the growth ability.

Vliv theologicko-filosofického myšlení nejen v exaktních vědách / The Influence of Theological and Philosophical Thinking Not Only in the Exact Sciences

Follprechtová, Jana January 2014 (has links)
TITLE: The Influence of Theological and Philosophical Thinking Not Only in the Exact Sciences AUTHOR: Jana Follprechtová DEPARTMENT: Social Sciences and Philosophy Department SUPERVISOR: Prof. PhDr. Anna Hogenová, CSc. ABSTRACT: This thesis attempts to discover and characterise the interfaces at which the sciences meet and provide incentives for interdisciplinary dialogue. It is not the aim of this thesis to show the need for their fusion into one universal science. The aim is to show that it is important to re-establish communication between scientists with humanities and exact science education, as their results affect our society. Although an analytical method is used in the first chapters, the emphasis in the majority of this thesis is placed on comparison with possible subsequent synthesis. On this basis, the thesis not only examines the philosophy of R. Descartes and the consequences of his thinking today, which stands in opposition to the views of J. A. Comenius, but also the issue of education, which is one of the ways of re-establishing dialogue. All sciences have an ontological basis; thereby they must not only take the concept of creation seriously, but also the anthropic principle. The sciences are united by the limitations of their λογων, which are symbols meant to encourage efforts to review...

Teorie ekologické modernizace - fakta a souvislosti. Historická perspektiva, podmínky a limity neoliberálního konceptu udržitelnosti / Ecological modernization theory - facts and context. Historical perspective, conditions and limits of the neoliberal sustainability concept

Oharková, Alena January 2011 (has links)
Ecological modernization theory - facts and context. Historical perspective, conditions and limits of the neoliberal sustainability koncept Annotation: This diploma thesis deals with the synthesis of ideas of ecological modernization theory, which has been developing since the 80's of the 20th century particularly in Western Europe. The ecological modernization theory wants to explain, interpret and propose environmental reforms in conjunction with continued economical growth, industrial development and globalization. The ecological modernization theory argues that a continuous industrial development does not lead inevitably to environmental degradation, but rather provides the best possible way out of the environmental crisis. Although the ecological modernization theory is a relatively young concept, during the first thirty years of its existence has greatly expanded and diversified, gained countless supporters and opponents, provoked a number of debates and inspired many empirical studies. This development, however, has led not only to new findings but also resulted in a dilution of the ecological modernization theory, which thereby has become confusing, vague and inconsistent. This thesis attempts to give a framework to the ecological modernization theory to specify not only its main ideas and goals,...

Krpálková, Soňa January 2022 (has links)
This work presents the personality and work of two thinkers, Bernard Bolzan and Charles Fourier. It focuses on their social ideas, so it looks mainly at their side of social utopians. It compares their views on the ideal organization of human society. It also pays attention to teaching and education in their conception, moreover, with reflection in relation to today. The aim is also to map the initial conditions of each of the thinkers, material, family, ideological, historically contemporary. At the very beginning, the work places all this in the context of historical development and subsequently in social theories. After an overview of developments and social theories, he introduces the topic of social utopianism and introduces two other important utopians - Saint-Simon and Robert Owen. Then the personality and work of Bernard Bolzan, followed by Charles Fourier, are introduced. The following is a comparison of the relevant categories for both thinkers, representing the degree of overlap of their common features. Then there is a chapter focused on education and training with an overlap to the present. The work shows that social utopianism is characterized by ignorance of socio-economic development and insufficient processing of a specific way of implementing the social establishment.
