Kinetika polymerací dentálních dimethakrylátových monomerů / Photopolymerization kinetics of dimethacrylate dental resinVaněk, Martin January 2020 (has links)
Aim of magister´s thesis was to study reaction kinetics of dental materials. Thesis was focused on dimethacrylate dental polymers, which are for example used for dental restoration, tooth repair and creating now teeth. First part of the thesis concentrates on influence of molar ratio on reation kinetics by addition of other monomer to polymer resin. Second part concentrates on influence of addition of additive silica on reaction kinetics of polymerization. Essential variables know as a polymerization ratio, conversion, gel point, glass transition temperature and storage modulus were studied. Firstly, polymerization ratio and conversion were observed by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Secondly rheology was observed by photoreometr. Finally, glass transition temperature and storage modulus were observed by dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA). Behaviour changes caused by addion of monomer or filler point out decrease of polymeration ratio and converstion. Same behaviour was observed by short exposure. In order to established network formation, values of gel point increased by higher concentration of monomer or filler. Glass transition temperature and storage modulus measured by DMA were evaluated. Those valuables had variable tendency due to monomer acting like filler at higher concentration. Also contradictory impact of different material conversion and filler concetration was discussed.

The diploma thesis deals with the deposition of layers of 2-ethyl-2-oxazoline monomer in a dielectric barrier discharge in a nitrogen atmosphere. The theoretical part describes polyoxazolines, dielectric barrier discharge, plasma polymerization and diagnostic methods that describe the characteristics of the prepared layers. The experimental part deals with the deposition of layers and the determination of physicochemical properties. Finally, the results are compared with layers that were made of 2-methyl-2-oxazoline.

Plazmatické povrchové úpravy skleněných vláken na bázi organokřemičitanů / Plasma surface modification of glass fibers on a basis of organosiliconesVeteška, Jaromír January 2008 (has links)
This thesis is aimed at preparation of thin plasma-polymerized films deposited on glass fibers by Plasma-Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PE CVD) from a mixture of tetravinylsilane (TVS) and oxygen gas. Plasma-polymerized films which were deposited on silicon wafers were used to characterize chemical properties and optimization of deposition process with respect to reproducibility.

Studium plazmových produktů pomocí hmotnostní spektrometrie / Study of plasma species by mass spectroscopyBureš, Michal January 2008 (has links)
Plasma polymer films of tetravinylsilane and mixture of tetravinylsilane and oxygen gas were deposited on silicon wafers. Oxygen gas was mixed in tetravinylsilane to improve the compatibility of thin films on glass substrates. Mass spectroscopy was employed during the cleaning of the deposition chamber to check residual gases and process gases, during plasma deposition to monitor neutral plasma species and to follow plasma stability.

Příprava akrylátových kopolymerů emulzní polymerací / Preparation of acrylic copolymers via emulsion polymerizationArvai, Tomáš January 2013 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with preparation of acrylic copolymers via emulsion polymerization technique. Two sets of copolymer samples were prepared within this thesis, n BA/MMA and 2-EHA/MMA copolymers. n-BA/MMA copolymer sample was used for investigation of effect of surfactant concentration as well as effect of addition of acrylic acid to the feed composition. During all the copolymerizations, conversion was observed via solids content evaluation as the reaction progressed. Copolymerization was lead under inert atmosphere at continuous stirring and 80 °C for 4 hours. Glass transition temperature of samples was determined with DSC and Vicat softening point was measured as well. Data acquired from measurements were compared with values calculated with Fox equation which was used for modelling molar ratio of monomers in initial feed.

Kinetika koordinační polymerace 1-olefinů katalyzované diiminovými komplexy niklu / Kinetics of the Coordination Polymerization of -olefins Catalyzed by Nickel Diimine ComplexesPeleška, Jan January 2012 (has links)
This Ph.D. thesis is focused on kinetic study of propene and hex-1-ene coordination polymerizations initiated by complex [(2-tBuC6H4)N=C(1,8-naphtalenediyl)C=N(2-tBuC6H4)]NiBr2 activated by simple organoaluminium compounds and on product properties. In first three parts proper activators are chosen in model polymerizations. The attention is paid to the reproducibility of polymerizations and analytical methods. The fourth part is focused on propene polymerization kinetics with the aim to define optimal reaction conditions, especially polymerization temperature and time. The four part concerns also properties of polymers. The fifth and sixth parts deal with hex-1-ene polymerization kinetics conducted at various activator/initiator molar ratios and various catalytic precursor concentrations, to find out kinetic orders with respect to catalyst and cocatalyst concentration. Last part is oriented on detail mechanistic investigation of nickel diimine complexes activation process. Results of measurements in presence or absence of monomer enabled to propose new interpretation of UV-vis spectra based on concrete structures of absorbing species.

Polymerní kompozity s vyššími užitnými vlastnostmi / High Performance Polymer CompositesBábík, Adam January 2013 (has links)
High performance polymer composites are materials with emphasis on specific chemical and mechanical properties due to their broad scope of applications. The main advantages are high strenght and toughness in comparison with their low weight and density. An increased adhesion at composite interfaces is important to ensure excellent composite properties. Bundles of glass fibers were coated by plasma-polymerised interlayers of tetravinylsilane (pp-TVS) of different thicknesses and at different effective powers. The prepared interlayers of pp-TVS were analyzed to evaluate chemical composition (RBS, FTIR, XPS) and mechanical properties (NI-AFM). Microindentation test and fiber-bundle pull-out test were used to determine the interfacial shear strenght.

Senzitivní vrstvy pro optické biosenzory a proteinové čipy / Sensitive Layers for Optical Biosensors and Protein ChipsRodriguez Emmenegger, César January 2012 (has links)
Sensitive layers for optical biosensors and protein chips The goal of this thesis was the development of sensitive surfaces for optical affinity biosensors detecting in complex biological media. The practical application of these surface-based technologies has been hampered by protein fouling from biological media, in particular blood plasma, where the vast majority of relevant analytes are present. The work of the thesis was centred in three main foci: Design and preparation of antifouling and non-fouling surfaces Evaluation and conceptualisation of their resistance to fouling from blood plasma and serum as well as other biological fluids Preparation of sensitive layers for detection in complex biological media Three approaches were used to prepare protein resistance surfaces, i) ω-functional self-assembled monolayers (SAM), ii) end-tethered polymers and iii) polymer brushes prepared by surface initiated controlled radical polymerisation. Investigation of proteins in the blood plasma deposits on PEG- based surfaces revealed that some fouling is unavoidable in PEG-based surface modifications. A novel type of non-fouling polymer brushes based on poly[N-(2-hydroxypropyl) methacrylamide] challenged the accepted ideas for the design of protein resistant surfaces. For the first time a...
