The purpose of the master's thesis is to describe and critically evaluate the learning aids, nowadays used to assist primary school children with specific learning disabilities (dyslexia, dysgraphia and dysorthographia) and eventually propose its possible improvements. The results of the research part are based on theoretical methodology and literature. In addition, some of the selected learning aids were tested on a small sample of pupils. To fulfill such goals, it was crucial to get oriented on the field of current tool portfolio for the pupils with given specific learning disabilities through relevant institutions, questionnaires and analysis of the tool market situation. The review and evaluation of the learning aids was finally done based on the outcome of the thesis research part.

This thesis consists of description of chosen methods of permanent macroscopic zoological preparations. I verified successfully all the methods in practice and in case of methodological difficulties I optimized them for use in the school environment. In this work I answered the questions that could come up throughout the preparation process, for example: how to preserve the animal correctly; where to acquire the animal legally; what is the best way to maintain the animal's natural colour; what materials to use for the preparation and so on. According to current approaches I created not only a text based version of the manual of all verified preparation methods, but also an online version in form of a web site. To clarify the methods I included video sequences, photographs and schemes. With this e- learning course a teacher will be able to extend the school collection with his own preparations and also will be able to recognize what significant characteristics to point out. As a part of my work I have done a questionnaire focused on using various types of equipment in biology lectures. In my thesis I am dealing with the usage of origami at teaching mathematics. In the first chapters I mention a brief history and kinds of creases such as Huzita axioms etc. In the second part I introduce three chapters concerning folding of structures supported by work-sheets at different difficulty levels. The content of these chapters comprises of conic sections and diameters of trapezoids. The last chapters of the thesis are focused on three kinds of folding: Yoshimura, Miura and modular, which are also used in architecture, house design and astronautics.

Protection of population - a teaching aid for seniors Thesis topic is "Protection of population - teaching aid for the seniors." The theoretical part of the education system of seniors how they can develop their personality even at an advanced age and thus come to fulfilment. The work is also described as insight into the history of protection population and its current state. It is important to realize continuous development of this area, particularly in the approach to the risks and dangers that surround us, their analysis and subsequent action. A prerequisite for the efficient functioning of the security system are appropriate legislative measures. The important part is undoubtedly a preventive educational activity in the area of civil protection and fire protection focused on citizens. The work classifies emergencies and carries out the tasks of civil protection. The theoretical part also describes cooperation at the international level. The aim was to create educational material for the elderly, aimed at protecting the population and treated on the basis of available information and literature. In the result, therefore, to raise awareness among the elderly in the area, this may be in danger of their lives, health or property. To accomplish this aim it was necessary to choose basic and essential information from available sources. It was mainly about the basic concepts of civil protection, classification of incidents and how they behave in given situations. It was also necessary to create a questionnaire including questions on precisely the subject of protection of the population in relation to the citizens themselves - seniors. The questionnaire was administered in elderly patients visiting senior's club Šance in Týn nad Vltavou and was subsequently verified normality knowledge. Following the improvement of information for seniors from the aforementioned club was created block of three lectures where senior citizens have clarified the issue of protection of the population, especially in relation to their self-protection. Chapter "Results" includes an evaluation questionnaire. Presented are the issues and their graphic evaluation. Using mathematical and descriptive statistics were verified whether knowledge of seniors in the area of civil protection division has knowledge of near normal distribution. The hypothesis was verified and accepted. The result of this work is an educational tool that is further specified in the chapter "Results". The complete version of teaching aids is the appendixes, which among other things are also presentations that were used to lecture at the senior's club Šance. The output material will serve as an informational tool for seniors visiting senior's club Šance. Another possibility is the use of teaching materials electronically, where the material will be available on the website of the town Týn nad Vltavou and provide the necessary information not only seniors, but also to other citizens, who express concern over the issue of choice. Interest in electronic form of educational toys showed a primary school Hlinecká in Týn nad Vltavou.

In this work I have been focusing on the educational use of textbooks, especially natural history textbooks, for sex education by the teachers of selected schools. First, I conducted a theoretical introduction to the issue of textbooks and teaching sex education. Then my interviews with teachers examined how sex education is taught and whether the teachers use their textbooks as teaching aid. I have thoroughly analysed these interviews, from which I then draw my conclusions: how textbooks are used as a teaching aid and the impact of the quality of textbooks on their use. Furthermore, I conducted my subjective evaluation of the textbooks that teachers said they use. I compared this review to the evaluation of teachers, so I could carry out a discussion of these views. As the result of my work I find that some of the teachers participating in my research use the textbook as teaching aid, some not. Their decision is not affected by the quality of the topic in the textbooks. Of much greater importance is the form of sex education the teacher chooses and how the topic is being explained. The theses is focused on diabetic alert dogs, which create impact on compensation of diabetes mellitus. Differences in topic's between Czech republic and USA is compared based on questionnaire. Part of diploma thesis is also short questionnaire dedicated for members of Czech republic parliament. The aim of thesis is to extend public knowledge about diabetic alert dogs in Czech republic. To compare knowledges about this topic between Czech republic and USA and to compare number of owners of diabetic alert dogs in Czech republic and USA. Analysis was done by using selected method of questionnaire targeting this topic. Questions were related to people suffering from diabetes mellitus in Czech republic and USA. Second anonymous questionnaire was prepare for members of Czech parliament and their knowledges about this topic. The thesis "Experimental physics education at secondary school using the Pasco system," deals with the support of digital technology in education and shows a new use of information systems at secondary schools. It is focused on the use of a specialized set of measuring probes, sensors and other accessories in the experimental classes. It also focuses on the use of these devices in selected elementary schools in chosen subjects. The entire work will be written within the meaning of guide for physics teachers. It will include information about the products available on the Czech market, a set of experimental examples of various topics, including solutions, research relating to the use of experimental systems at schools and a research among pupils, whether these aids facilitate understanding of the topic. Part of the work will be filmed demonstration of experimental physics class, using a Pasco system.

This master thesis consists of two basic parts. The theoretical part which focuses on the definition and historical evolution of games from the point of view of their function in the process of pedagogy, and the practical part which is Memory game, created by the author. Games as a phenomenon, and their functions and importance within the context of the educational process at the level of elementary education, with a particular focus on art education are analysed in this master thesis. The developed Memory game by the author has a strong didactic accent, the goal of which is to mediate the area of visual art to students. The last part of this master thesis is a detailed description of the process of using the developed didactic tool during teaching and its graphical documentation.

This diploma thesis deals with didactic aids and their use in English classes at the first grade of elementary school. At the beginning of the thesis I will characterize the specifics of teaching English at the first grade of elementary school, I will also clarify the term "didactic aid". I will divide types of aids and the possibilities of their use so as the teaching could be heterogeneous, pleasant, effective and primarily easy for pupils to understand. In the practical part of the work there are presented aids which are used by teachers. It is described there how the particular aids are implemented into teaching English and how teachers and pupils think about them in terms of popularity of their use. There are also presented different types of aids which become popular among pupils. By the level of their attractivity there were chosen a few of the most favourite aids.

The main focus of my thesis piece of work is the creation of multimedia tools for pupils´ self-study Math. This tool is an interactive software, specifically it is a Web page that work without connecting to the internet. Especially it is useful for children's home preparation and practising of pupils' knowledge. It can be used during lessons at school too. The main topic of this thesis is solution of equations. A part of the thesis is practical verification of primary school pupils. Their results are compared with the results of pupils who haven´t practised Math on this practical CD.
